Title: How to ombre g4 pony body? Also show me your non-matching hair customs!

How would I go about ombreing a g4's plastic? I keep seeing customs that have very nice ombre colours but never how to do it! Also show me any ponies you customed with a different coloured tail and mane!

You are talking about a gradient correct? An airbrush or dye is typically what is used.

I've tried it with pastels as well.
i think it turned out really well.
i can't post pictures yet sorry.

ah, I though that dye would work, I tried too use paint but it kept looking really messy

An airbrush will give you a nice uniform gradient, but a similar effect can be achieved by blending. Aikarin has a wonderful tutorial that I know from experience works:
