Title: [Pony intensifies]

My closest norwegian toy store wants you to know that this is a My Little Pony Pony, not a My Little Pony... not pony.

Another one labels their princess Celestia plushie as My Little Pony princess Princess Celestia. Maybe they're predicting that in the future, the ultimate my little pony name will be princess Princess.

Hehe :) Maybe they're making sure it's obvious, since in G1 we had things like My Little Pony...camel. O.o.

At least your store is kind enough to tell you, also. Our local one back home has a shelf on which it tosses everything vaguely pony with very little labelling and it's both an intelligence test and a free for all.

True, the g1s did have my little pony...camel.  And my little pony... dinosaur.  So, you know, it might be important to be specific this time around.  Just in case.  :P

Slightly unrelated, but why is the price so high? Is that what ponies cost these days? That's 15$, for you US people.

All MLP is overpriced here. But the singles recently went from 99 to 129 nok in most toy stores so I guess it has something to do with import. With those high prices I buy very little mlp nowadays (I saw the fashion style coco pommel the other day but I really couldn't justify spending 329 nok ~38 usd on her :( )

QFT! A blind bag here costs what a brushable costs there. :P

I'm sure that wasn't always the case, though, at least in Finland - when I got my first G4s, (Applejack, Rarity and Lily Blossom, right back in 2011) I don't remember them being that expensive then. That was from a store in Porvoo, when I was on holiday over there in the summer. I wonder what's happened in the meantime..? Are they importing direct from the US or something??

I don't know what has happened but the prices have noticeably gone up in the past two years or so.  -_- I think three years back they were like €6.95 a piece, since I back them bought a special offer bundle of two for €10. Currently your standard brushables are about €8.95 to  €9.99 (USD9.80 to 10.95). The worst that I've seen a blind bag go was €4.95 which is outrageous (usually €3.99 which is still pretty bad, a couple years back they were like 2.95). The Canterlot Castle was €119. So it's not AS bad here as it is in Norway it appears, but I still do need to consider carefully if I purchase a pony or not... But I think we still should be grateful that we have the ponies up here too and that they've started better keeping up with the new waves. :)

Hrm, I see. That sucks. Maybe the fact Finland are pricing in Euros mean they daren't try and cloak huge price hikes in the way they clearly feel they can with the NOK, but it's still a jump. I think that the three I got were around that kind of a price, €6ish or thereabouts. I wouldn't have bought three otherwise, as they were the first G4 I ever saw (they weren't anywhere round where I lived in the UK) and I was on holiday budget. I wanted Applejack and Rarity, but Lily Blossom came too because they weren't too expensive...

Basic ponies here are £4.99 which is about $8ish US, and in comparison to Norway - which, lets be realistic, isn't that far away really - it's about half the price o.O. And I thought the UK had an expensive economy.

I appreciate this might be because it's gone midnight here and I've been eating chocolate, but suddenly I want to bring the Applejack song to the party, and spruce it up with the G4 pony PONY theme.

Who's a silly pony (pony)? you're a silly pony ('pony) Who is? You is! Applejack...(pony pony).

(song starts 18 secs in).

My childhood warped me ;)

...Ok, I'm going now.
