I was browsing the German Hasbro newsite and stumbled upon this.
This article might contain spoiler's.
While browsing though some news articles from the German Hasbro website I stumbled upon quite an interesting article talking about the child of Shining Armor and Princess Cadance. Appearantely there's a toy of her coming soon. She's named Flurry Heart and there will be a toy who's horn will light up and which you can also talk to. She will make sounds in return. You can also feed her. Below I've posted the translated article. She will arrive in September 2016.
I think we will see pics of her very soon. The Spielewarenmesse in Germany will start ofcially tommorow and a lot of merch will be revealed then. There's a very high chance we will see Flurry Heart as well.

I was sort of hoping for a boy. I hope the baby is not an alicorn though because we have enough alicorns on the show. If they keep throwing alicorns left and right it won't mean anything anymore.

I'm not really a fan of the name either. It's so generic. Sounds like one off Cloudsdale's weather factory worker bees. I would have rather that they stuck with Stella. At least it's celestial.

It sounds like the article was translated . . . However, as far as I know G4 pony names are always in English, even in other countries. So in French it would be "Bonjour, Twilight Sparkle!" I often wonder what very young non-English-speaking kids think of this. Do they learn what Twilight Sparkle means, or do they just think of it as a name that doesn't mean anything, like Suzy or Bob?

I would have assumed 'Flurry Heart' was a boy name. o.0 Maybe that's just me.
With the name Flurry Heart, I'm going to guess it's a white unicorn girl (like Shining Armor) with probably Cadance-similar colors for her mane and tail.
Hasbro thinks girls like white almost as much as they like pink and purple lol

I doubt it will be that similar of colors, most of the time in G4 it seems babies colors look nothing like the parents.. take the Pies for instance, or Twi/Shinings parents, Apple family, etc.
I'm going to guess pastel light blue and purple on this one.

I like the name Flurry Heart. I kind of figured it would be a girl. I wonder what she'll look like? I think her colors would look nice if it was somehow a combination of Shining Armor and Cadance's colors.

I like the fact that it will be a girl and the name is...ok.
It's not the best name but it could have been worse. Now to hope the design will be nice.
Crossing my fingers they will use the baby Applejack design as seen in that one episode. I greatly dislike the regular baby design (like that of Pound Cake). Their eyes will never make sense to me.

I would guess blues (based on the name) with pink and/or purple somehow mixed in (based on Hasbro).

I would rather if she didn't have wings... Needless to say the winged princess status confuses me at times... Because Twilight had to earn her wings, Cadance was already a winged princess when Twilight was little.. so does Winged Princess status have to be earned or are some born into it :/

According to one of the books, Cadence was originally a pegasus but became an alicorn after doing some sort of good deed. (Standing up to a witch or something?)
I'll be really disappointed if her daughter is an alicorn, that will just water down even more something that was once special and rare.
That said I'll bet her daughter is indeed an alicorn, because marketing.

The name keeps making me think of Flitterheart, and I suspect now she'll never get another release, lest the two be confused. :( "Flurry" does make me envision a white pony, though.

Check here to see the cartoon version. So, she's a female, white, alicorn. However--THOSE WINGS AND HORN!!! They are the same size as Twilight's, for corn sake! And Twilight's wings kinda look to big on Twilight! Seriously, I am okay with the pony being an alicorn, though I would have preferred unicorn or pegasus. But her Wings and horn look RIDICULOUS on a newborn!
Also, I was really hoping that the pony would be a crystal pony. I don't understand why in the cartoon she appears to be solid color.

The way Twily reacted, being born an Alicorn is rather unusual. Also I wonder if there will be a plot point involving the Mane 6 and this baby pony turning into crystal ponies.

Oh, just saw the cartoon pics. Ok, a little better that she is white instead, but still disappointed overall! Hasbro sure is good at dropping the ball. Was so hoping for a male, and then when we learned her name I was hoping for a blue pony with white hair or something. You know, to fit better with her name and use colors OTHER than pink?

Okay, I try to avoid spoilers, but I guess there's really no avoiding looking at this, since people elsewhere are already talking about it.
I don't mind that it's a girl, and the name is... okay. Kinda cute, but a little generic. I get the 'Heart' bit since she's Cadance's daughter and all. I can see her being born an alicorn, since her mother is one. If any of the others had children, it's possible they could be as well. It's not necessarily something that's earned, it can be inherited just like their titles. And let's be honest, who wasn't expecting Cadance to have a baby to sell a baby princess toy as soon as you learned she was pregnant?
Maybe since Flurry was born like that, she's a contender now to Twilight as Celestia's successor. :lol:
I just saw the clip with Flurry. I really wish they'd stick with the foal designs they made with Pound and Pumpkin Cake. Her eyes are too big (but cute on their own), her horn is too big and her wings are so big they're practically a birth defect (although I like the gradient). Her color scheme isn't the best, either, but it may grow on me. I want to like her, but she gives me too much of a Newborn Cuties vibe. I hope she looks better as a toy than she does in the show, but I doubt it.

She looks like a faint pink to me, not white... Celestia is white (in the pink range) and this foal is a faint pink... and just.. looks odd.. I don't know what the show designers are thinking nor do I know what Hasbro is thinking but now earning the alicorn status seems kind of moot =/

I'm rather dissapointed by the playset.
The fact that it is pretty much one color makes it look really cheap. The Flurry Heart figure looks equally cheap.
And hey, another Cadance that looks like all the other ones. Myeeeeeeh.

I wonder if Twilight was shocked at the size of the wings rather than simply the fact that the pony is an alicorn. Maybe they'll fix her by sucking some of the fat out of Fluffy Heart's wings and injecting them into Scootaloo's wings, that way they can both fly.

Does anyone else think the toy version looks a lot like a Baby Celestia, aside from the body color? I mean, the hair colors, the way her hair swoops over to the side . . . even the crown looks familiar.

I'm fine with how Flurry looks. (In cartoon, not in toy - the pink clear plastic is kinda tacky) but being deprived any further info about the princess toys we already have (Skyla, goldlily, sterling) makes me want to know about them even more!

They never said that ALL alicorns earn the status.... in canon, so far only Cadence and Twilight are confirmed ascended alicorns. Celestia and Luna are most likely natural born. Sources have stated after all, that "Twilight will not outlive her friends"..... Celestia and Luna are a couple thousand years old at least. Natural born alicorns are probably VERY rare and special... and I think she's adorable! She's the pony Dumbo, but with wings instead of ears!! And I think the reason her toy is so pink is because the castle lights up, remember?? And she's clear... so SHE'LL light up too, appearing much paler pink once lit up. Also.... NEW CASTLE!!! Do the new castle dance, everyone!! I'm getting my castle fix again this year!! FIVE PLAYSETS FOR MY NEW APARTMENT!!!

I'm glad they didn't reuse that same model for Flurry Heart they did for Pound/Pumpkin Cake. Don't get me wrong, I think they are as cute as can be, but she's supposedly an important character (for at least one episode or so anyway). I think it would seem pretty lazy on the part of the character designers to reuse some stock character models they've got lying around. Even lazier when some other ponies we will never see again and gag characters have distinct animation models.

Well the combination this is not always a thing. Twilight's parents are Navy Blue and a paler whitish blue or pale grey.. while Twilight is purple, although I think she has her mother's hair. Rarity and Sweetie Belle are both a brighter white than their dad (their mom is pink) But neither of the girls got their dad's hair color XD Then there is Pound and Pumpkin Cake... They only seem to take somewhat after their father's color.. though it's stretching it...
I think with the color thing Hasbro is all over the place XD

This'd make sense! I definitely agree with you :) Even if she doesn't light up, I'd bet that they thought that translucent pink plastic would just look more appealing than 'white' translucent plastic, if that makes sense.

I too think she is adorbs but she comes with a huge playset I don't have space or money for.

The Crystal Empire playset is so basic. They should at least add some paint apps so it's not just a blob of translucent green.
I guess I should give them points for making it green instead of pink, though.

Putting out re-issues of Cadance and Shining Armor toys just to make people spend $25 on a single new baby DOES fit in with Hasbro's evil marketing plans, so maybe we will indeed see this.

I feel like her wings/horn being so huge was part of why Twilight and the gang were surprised when they saw her - like she looked strange. That'd be an interesting plot. Maybe she'll grow up to be epic like Cadence and Luna? Wouldn't that be awesome? Super magical or something.

I'm going to be the black sheep here and say I'm a million times over happy with the baby and her name! There was no way I was expecting it to be a boy, and I was going to be very disappointed if there wasn't a splotch of pink on her anywhere! xD Its Hasbro anyway, its expected to be something pink and princess LOL! Honestly I had a better chance of winning that powerball a few weeks ago than Hasbro ever making a NEW character that is also a boy. I'm VERY happy she is an alicorn. Overrated, maybe, but I am sappy and suckery for anything pink and I love alicorns.
She is just so adorable and absolutely perfect to me! I can already tell just by looking at her she will be über adorable and my new favorite character ever followed by Cadance and Fluttershy! I can tell she is going to be powerful indeed!

Well I can already say I've seen fan art of this foal, lol, not very much in the pony groups I'm in on DA but I've seen some elsewhere.. I typed in MLP Flurry Heart in google image search shows more than I expected (though after about 3 or 4 lines of images, they become unrelated to the pony herself)
I have to agree with a few people that this was a opportunity to have a new character toy as a boy, I think girls would have still loved a baby boy pony in the set regardless.
I'm just hoping Hasbro keeps the idea that the baby does not have her symbol yet... unless there is a loophole the says Alicorns don't need to find out what their special trait is for them to have their symbol..

Good point! Most of the mane six all have siblings that we know of- Twilight, Pinkie, Apple, Rarity... don't know about the two pegs.

Yeah most of the ponies have siblings.. Fluttershy and RD are the only two we really don't know about as far as family wise
Edit: though my friend says it's unlikely that if Flurry gets a brother we won't get a toy.. according to him Toy Manufacturers are still stuck in the 70's mindset of girls don't like toys that are boys and are reluctant to even do so..
But my thought is that if she does get a brother.. he's going to be a Unicorn or Pegasus. If being born an Alicorn is as rare as they say then yeah..

Well I can already say I've seen fan art of this foal, lol, not very much in the pony groups I'm in on DA but I've seen some elsewhere.. I typed in MLP Flurry Heart in google image search shows more than I expected (though after about 3 or 4 lines of images, they become unrelated to the pony herself)
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't planning on drawing fanart of her myself, as mixed as I am about her. ^^' i totally want to try drawing her as an older princess/queen pony.

Good point! Most of the mane six all have siblings that we know of- Twilight, Pinkie, Apple, Rarity... don't know about the two pegs.
Yeah most of the ponies have siblings.. Fluttershy and RD are the only two we really don't know about as far as family wise

Well the lack of any stallions brushables in g4 besides shining armor kinda confirms that...And it's a shame because i would love to see more boys in g4.

I know, I'm totally sad about that. I'd love to see what she looks like as an adult. :(
And can we discuss her wings? What do you think - is she like a Dumbo but with huge wings? Is that what they were all shocked about when they saw her? That's all I can figure.

I just showed my 6yo the pictures, and the first words were "Awwww...whoa, those are some BIG wings!" She saw the castle and was like "meh. it's only one color." So there's the target audience's opinion.
MY opinion pretty much echoes everything that's been said...Hasbro fails again. Give us BOYS!

I don't see how Flurry being an boy would change things tbh. At that age they pretty much look the same anyways and its not like we are ever going to see her as an adult. I'd rather get an adult stallion than the new baby be a boy.

I dont think there was any chance of getting a boy. Little girls like princesses because they want to be princesses. Little girls are the target audience. Most young girls would prefer a girl over a boy, IMO.

Pink Princess girl, Hasbro is soooo lazy there.
But the toy is cute, I hope they will release it not only in the playset, or in a regular brushable version.

My friend who has a daughter recently got into MLP's (she's 4 years old) and my friend is constantly asking me for advice about the toys and episodes now, since she knows I'm such a big fan of the line. The thing she says to me most often is "Why can't I ever find any boy pony toys? Izi keeps saying she wants princes to go with her princess ponies." o.0 It's obvious girls would buy boy characters as much as girls!
(I gifted Izi the Funko mini Shining Armor and she loved him lol. She likes his little red coat.)

I saw the leaked clip the morning it made its way onto the internet...and by that afternoon photos of (very well crafted) plushies were floating across my Facebook feed...this community never ceases to amaze me.
Should be a fun premier though, as there's all kinds of directions they could take this!

I mean if I recall I read in the article about Disney switching from Mattel to Hasbro one of the reps that went to some event and noticed little girls wearing something to the event and asked the mothers about it only to find out the mothers had to make part of the outfits because Disney didn't have those items made.. I think they were going to remedy that, but then again.. Hasbro is a completely different company and may not actually listen very well...

Two different stories got mixed up here. The part about the handmade outfits was how the Princess brand came to exist in the first place. Hasbro doesn't even make the dress up stuff, that is Jakks. Hasbro got the Disney doll license because Mattel was paying more attention to their in house brands and they felt EAH was competing with it.

Week I just saw the little 24 second clip and I think its just absolutely adorable! Poor SA and Cadance, oh dear they look crazy tired! Alicorn baby eeeek! I wonder if this means Cheeselegs might come back!? The love for a new princess baby might be enough power for her thirstiness to draw her back. I have a feeling she isn't gone.
I'm not gonna lie, seeing this widdle cutie pie is making me rethink if I want to *try* to have a kid after we have our Disney wedding get a nice house and graduate college :biggrin: However I feel like its a deadly trap haha xD I should just stick to buying cute cartoon ponies.
