Title: Help my sister finish her Master's Degree!
Post by: ZennaBug on January 09, 2016, 10:53:51 AM
My little sister is almost finished with her Master's Degree!  She has completed all of her classes and just has to finish her thesis, which she has to defend in a month.  She has already written 40+ pages and is now working on the research component.  She needs 150 responses from people between the ages of 18 and 35 and I'm trying to help her get there quickly so she has more time to analyze the responses and complete her thesis!  It's 11 questions, only takes a few minutes, and it completely anonymous.  If you have a few minutes, would you please click this link and help her out?  :)

Here is more information on the survey from her proposal, if you are curious:

Good luck to her! I'm afraid I'm out of her range though.

I filled it out! I'll be finishing my Master's degree this semester, too! I can't wait -- my Master's has actually taken longer than my Bachelor's (though that's what happens when you work full time and go to school while also dealing with a disability...).

Thank you!  My sister is one of those super crazy motivated type people.  She graduated summa cum laude with her bachelor's in 3.5 years and is about to finish her master's in one year... with a 3.98 GPA.  She is the most insanely motivated person that I know.  :faint:

You guys are amazing.  She had two weeks to hit 150 replies and between Facebook and the Arena, she made it in one night!  She called me crying last night because she was so happy!

:hearts:

She's currently at 213 replies and it's been steadily climbing all day.  Her classmates are all totally baffled because some of them have barely hit double digits.  She's been really impressed by the data that is coming in and is really excited about being able to finish up.  She's going to keep taking any data that she can get and she thinks that she'll end up with one of the best research scores in the class.  :)

I wanted to take it, but it's been 10 years since I left a job, so the questions are very difficult to answer!

done :)
I left my previous job almost a year ago. when experiencing financial issues (like I sort of do now - unexpected costs) it's easy to wish a better salary back. this survey was a great reminder of all the hell that was going on there, which caused me to leave the company, regardless of the better salary. that was the right decision ^^

You guys are amazing.  Between FB networking and the Arena, she has just hit 300!  In 4 days, she has twice the number of responses that she was given three WEEKS to gather.  She's asking her thesis advisor if she should close the polls and start the analysis and have more time to finish the paper or if she should keep it open a bit longer to see how much more she can get.  Thank you everyone!  :grouphug:  She's really excited about the international response that she has gotten through everyone here, since that gives her a much wider audience.

Sounds like she should close the poll so she has time to look at all that extra data! :) Let us know how it goes!
