Popples were a favorite of mine when I was tiny (my 2nd birthday was Popples themed) and my kids have watched the revival on Netflix. It's alright. These are pretty cute, but I just can't accept them as Popples. I get really bitter about changes to childhood toys and turn into a grumpy old grandpa. I feel the same way about G3-4, though. :yikes:

I've seen these at Walmart and I think they're darling. I have a few vintage ones and I like these new ones just as much. Please don't throw fakies at me!

Well they are very cute but they don't look like MY Popples. But since I am not their target, that hardly matters :biggrin:
I think the idea is- "it worked before it can work again"

It seems like they wanted to give them names that actually sounded like names rather that random nouns that started with P. Tho they could have used things like Pauly, Pete, Patty, Pam, and Priscilla to keep up the theme. Unless it was just too confusing.

I'm seriously thinking about getting one. I usually don't buy plushies as I already have quite a few and not much space. They're just so soft and cute. But which one...

I wish I had any store nearby that kept up-to-date on new toys. I told my mom to check the Target in her area, but I'm sure she forgot as soon as we got off the phone. ;P

I saw them at walmart and I almost got one of the little ones. They are really cute in person!

*grumbles* But I am a Walmart boycotter. I am very unhappy to hear this... now I can't even pay someone to find them for me... :( Guess I will keep hunting at thrift stores for when they turn up....

Heh, yeah me too. Wasn't gonna say it because sometimes people take offense, but that's really upsetting for me, too.

I used to have one Popple from the reboot that came out around 2002. These are even cuter! I really like them,but I notice alot of the ones at the store end up getting matted looking hair. I guess a brush could fix that though.

I love Popples! I only got a few but they are great! I didn't know they were back! I prefer the old ones I have to admit. :)

Over a month ago I commented here that I hated these things. I have since changed my tune.
My children are in love with popples now. We got some of the smaller popple plushes (the main 5 characters) and they play with them constantly. My 1 year old is always yelling POPPLE POPPLE and I can't hate them now.

Looked the link and the pic. Thought hard that they look so familiar :wonder: (in Finland they got different name that I don't remember... The name didn't light my bulb). Googled and:

I have seen those in TV and I got VHS about them when I was a kid! They were so awesome^^
But I do not like these new ones.. their faces look weird :( not so cuddly as the old ones.
