Hi,
I found two of the MLP and Snowbabies figures today at a local Christmas store. They had Starshine and the Cotton Candy one. I couldn't see the Cotton Candy one well and the Starshine one I could see Starshine but not the Snowbaby due to the angle of the shelf. The Starshine one was $40

I still want these, with just the pony. I think I could use steam/heat or chemicals to remove the baby.

Thanks for the reminder. I just bought two online (they have their cyber Monday sale [cyber2015] still going plus free shipping on $50+ on giftcollector.com) and I'll send the third to my mama who never knows what to get me for Christmas. :P

Mlp Snowbabies?! I'm all about that :biggrin: I've had snowbabies my whole life so I've gotta get my hands on these when I get the chance :P

I use that logic all the time! "I don't $10 want this thing. I *$5* want it."
kind of seems like another way to say that you don't believe the item is worth the asking price? I didn't know other people used that phrasing!! too fun!!

I neeeed them, the Snuzzle one is my fave, my mom always had snowbabies around the house when I was little (she still does lol) and I've always loved them, so them + ponies is perfect!

What Cotton Candy one? I thought it was only Snuzzle, Starshine and Powder???
I guess I thought Snuzzle was Cotton Candy. I couldn't get a good look at that one and she looked pink in the store.

I need to check some of the Christmas shops closer to the day - maybe they'll have some of these on sale!

I just got these through Amazon.com -today - Snuzzle is a little disapointing -her symbol is only on one side -why oh why!
Starshine's symbol is not very pronounced either.... I'm may have to do a little painting on them...

I've never had any interest in snowbabies and didn't know any with ponies existed until this thread. I want them! So precious.

LOL I just recently heard about these this morning and never knew they existed. I agree with this idea, though. I'd want just the pony and somehow get rid of that creepy baby! :lmao:

I feel like these things may be priced so that they are still profitable 50% off (since they are Christmas themed and Christmas sales are the norm right?)
I might be more tempted if they were less expensive- I love the pony sculptures...

Heh, I suppose you could just break it off, since these are ceramic. I don't think that would look so great, though...

I shared the Department 56 link with my mom- hoping she'll get the set for me this year. It's the only thing I've asked for and I can't justify spending $140 for them at the moment. If not, oh well. They sure are adorable. I'd love for Hasbro to continue licensing out porcelain figures.

I love the look of these ponies- I think they look JUST like the cartoon, and honestly better than the vintage ceramic ponies.
Maybe you could smash the baby off and then sand the broken ceramic down ? I guess that doesn't sound so great right?
I am hoping someone will tell me that they are just glued onto the base instead of one solid piece, but I doubt that's the case somehow...

I just googled them... the babies are creepy but the ponies are just stunning!!! They look so true to G1 MLP! Hope someone who buys them can post some close-up pictures :) :)

Finally got mine in the mail today after my carrier couldn't figure out that my apartment is a letter and a number and not just a number (so it was marked as undeliverable and they were going to send it back -_-). I was shocked at the size of the box for two figurines. I figured the figurines would be small like the Hamilton figurines in the past of Firefly and Glory, but they are large. I always fail to look at sizes of things, lol. They are GORGEOUS! And the size makes me feel perfectly okay with spending that much per figurine. Starshine is SOOOO PRETTYYY I can't get over it. I hope my mom buys me Snuzzle to complete the set, as soon as Christmas passes if I don't have it I'm buying her as well.

I think Powder's eyes are kind of weird as there isn't much of a pupil, but I still like the figurine.

you could always try customizing the baby to make it look like spike or another animal. take a lot of sanding and sculpting, but the base structure isn't too far off.

Thanks for posting pictures ponycake. :) I haven't seen the Powder one in my area. These are starting to grow on me but I wouldn't be able to get them until after Christmas sales.

Oh wow the colors are much brighter than I had thought they would be! You say they are kinda big? Any way you can put a MLP of any generation in the picture to give an idea as to size? (Sorry I know that is a pain in the arse request, no worries if you are too busy)

I went to Hallmark to look at the clearance ornaments and I was surprised to find the Snow babies with Starshine figure on clearance for 40% off $40 so it was only $25. It was an Amy's Hallmark Gold Crown store so if you have one nearby, I would check it out :)

My parents got mine at a shop that sells Christmas stuff - you can see if there's a year-round Christmas shop near you, but there are a lot of shops that sell ornaments, like Hallmark. I think price is about the same no matter where you find them. ^.^

It's probably because Snow Babies aren't just a seasonal item - they're a year-round collectible. Most places don't always discount their regular merchandise, only the seasonal items. :)

I think they are popping up in Ross stores and Marshals in the US so keep an eye out

After checking out 3 stores I found Starshine! At the final Hallmark store the Snow Babies were on sale even though there was no sign. I hope to check out another store tomorrow and see if they have Snuzzle and/or Powder.

Really? I didn't know that Ross/Marshalls carried Snowbabies. Where do they put them? Housewares?
