Title: 4DE Pony Plushies?
Post by: BrinnyTheBrave on October 25, 2015, 01:19:23 AM: Really not sure where this is supposed to go so I'm posting here ^.^ Remember those really high quality Twilight and Pinkie plushies that came out a long time ago? It has been two years at least now and Fluttershy still hasn't been released. Their last Twitter update was June 23rd. I gave up on emailing the manager of the company inquiring about a time frame on when wave 1 would be shipped out and when Celestia and Luna would go on for pre order because after a delayed reply my answer was "Oh, haha, we're not sure yet on Celestia and Luna" and no answer for the first part of the question. I thought this company was great when I first received my Pinkie and Twilight, but now I'm starting to wonder if they gave up and are even real anymore :huh: Their Facebook page has people complaining that even OTHER non-pony products haven't shipped to them and it's been months! That really makes me wonder. I was so excited for Luna and Celestia but now I'm not even sure if I want to support these guys, especially if their own products haven't even been mass produced yet, according to their Twitter update on June 23rd. What do you guys think? Have you ordered from 4th Dimension Entertainment? Is the company dead? Are you going to wait around for the other plushies?

I mean I get that what are they supposed to say, but it's been two years now for some characters! I'm commissioning custom plushies for the characters I really want because I came to the conclusion that I'd much rather support fan work than a company that doesn't really seem to care anymore..

When they first appeared it was at the point that we hardly had any licensed plush now the market is kind of flooded. Whether the company find it worth their while doing or at least doing to the scale they claimed they would will be interesting.

True, there is a lot of competition, but their plushes are some of the nicest quality I've seen. They even have cutie marks on both sides. It's a shame since I would have gotten a few of them, especially since they still have fabric hair.

Yeah I think they have the best quality stuff out there, but. For now we'll have to settle for Build a Bear and Aurora. I think 4DE gave up. And squirmy, yes they are licensed. I'm not sure why at this point they don't just find different distributors if they want our business.

Word on the street, aka the internet, is that after they stopped being insanely nitpicky about their QC, they had a pricing dispute with their shipping company, which led to them breaking it off. Because of this, they are now shipping all the orders themselves in addition to making them.
So since it was contract shenanigans, they can't publicly discuss it. Leaving everyone in the dark.

But of course, that is all rumor. Minus the part where they are now shipping everything themselves. The rumor also says there will be updates on shipping sometime next week. So we'll see how that pans out.

Post by: Galactica on October 26, 2015, 02:19:04 PM: I think they are a really small company and did not anticipate the orders/demand that they have encountered. Also, I do believe the shipping fiasco, a lot of companies are having difficulties with their China factories right now.

My guess is we'll see Flutters Rarity and Dr. Whooves but not the rest.

He ordered these and when I phoned him up regarding if they had come in yet or if they even heard from the company, he said they cancelled his order :huh:

Currently writing to customer service to make darn sure I have a Dash plush on my order, been so long I don't remember. And I'd like to add AJ and Trixie as well. 4de may take a while to get going, but service is prompt at least.

I have their Twilight Sparkle and I would LOVE to have a Fluttershy to match. But I'm waiting to order until I see that they're actually shipping them.

I'm also really hoping they'll release Applejack. (I wish, I wish, I wish... :D ) Poor AJ gets almost no love.

I'm not a big fan of the Aurora or Build a Bear, (or any others for that matter.)
I've only been interested in collecting 4DE plush or fanmade ; o;
So glad I was able to get Twilight at BC in 2014! (she may need a mint counterpart now tho, mom put her through the wash >.>

Hope this time they pull through!

I love my Twilight and Pinkie and wanted nothing more than for the rest of the mane 6 to join them, plush their Luna and Celestia plushies look GORGEOUS and I wanted them as well! I'm glad I didn't pre-order though, I'm sure I would've been deterred by this point.

However, because of the nature of her wide stiff hat, we are considering having her shipped separately from other objects in order to ensure her hat is properly protected. We will put up her pre-sale soon, maybe when the freight gets here."

So Applejack's coming soon if we're lucky, and Trixie and :muffin: Pony at some point next year. Least something's happening now, these plushies will come eventually.

I like the closed winged Twi. Seems like it makes her more huggable ^.^

Also, I really don't know anymore about this company. I hope they will actually ship these plushes out this time, but personally, I am not interested anymore and don't think it's worth it (I will consider if Luna EVER gets released), but I'd rather support fan made plushies now.

Did you prepay somewhere? Most places will not actually charge your credit card until the order is in...

I believe the timer was at 14 days back on the 3rd or 4th of this month (putting the shipping date at yesterday or today), so we should know by the end of this week if anyone who has ordered them from the 4DE site has gotten theirs shipped. ^.^

Hilariously, if you go check their Facebook, someone internationally received theirs before anyone in the US did today.

But after all of this crud that's been going down with these plushies I don't trust 4DE to be perfectly honest. Those plushies are nice but not "waiting-3-years-just-to-get-them" nice. I'd love to get that Celestia but I have a feeling G4 will be dead and gone by the time they decide to ship out Celestia out at their current rate.

Rd and AJ are in stock on Amazon (at least when I checked yesterday). Same price as they'd be from 4DE, except with free shipping if you have Prime. :)

Nah, on the US Amazon site, they have them for around $25 each. Sorry, I should've been specific. :lookround:

Christmas came early. Applejack looks and feels amazing. Her hat's made of some sort of hard felt/cardboard material, and the rest of her's super soft and cuddly minky.
There's a drawing of some pony bones on the box. I sent a note to 4de when I ordered AJ, asking for a skeleton instead in reference to the extremely long wait for the RD/Rarity/Fluttershy/Dr Whooves plushies.
And some beef stew. Because why not.

I have the other 4de plushies as well, just haven't opened the box yet. Waiting for christmas to do that.

They gave me a cute drawing of Twilight and Pinkie eating muffins when I ordered those two some time ago.

Cute pic!! You're right btw, they did post a Big Mac preview, though I imagine we'll never see him.
