My collection is mainly G1 MLP, but i have also:

I *try* not to collect anything other than ponies, but i do own a couple of original Polly Pockets. They're packed away at my dad's house. I'd like to get more one day but so far I'm restraining myself! I just love the tiny houses :p

I never had any Polly Pocket as child....The same with Dufty's or Charmkinds! But a friend from school had them so we played with them at her house!

Aside from MLP G1s, I also collect Care Bears (plush, keychains, mini figures, etc.), She-Ra (my collection was huge back in the day, but I still have most of the dolls and some accessories/horses) and Strawberry Shortcake (Dolls and minis -- I just recently restored a Berry Bake Shoppe 99% complete and bought the Berry Happy Home w/ some furniture!) I have others here and there like Pound Puppies, Rainbow Brite, Keypers (just one complete Sheldon, I had him as a kid and lost in him back in the '90s), Sweet Secrets...most of my toy collection is from my childhood. :blush: :cool: :)
I'm a big kid at heart.. :P :satisfied:

I bought a couple years back a big bag of She-Ra figures.....for very cheap.....and sold them all....with a little bit off profit...but still wayyyy to cheap and deeply regret it! :(

I have a furry plush Care Bear called Wish Bear, a cohttp://mlparena.com/Smileys/default/smile_001.gifuple of Glo Friends and Kingsley the Lion from Moondreamers. He's gorgeous by the way! I'd like the bear too but I find the dolls confusing. I think if I found them nm with all the accessories I might be interested. I also collect early Littlest Pet Shop but only really as friends for my G3 ponies. I'm still looking for that brown collie dog! I also have a beautiful green Fairytail Bird from my sisters collection, my Mum and I bought it for her at the same time as Braided Beauty and it is the same colour. Anyone know what that one is called?
Edit, just found out I have Euro Downy Tails, a 'Fuzzy Tummy' Fairy Tale Bird . I have her comb but no ribbon :)

Zoids and Pokemon are the only ones I can recall going after if the opportunity for intial release merch of them comes my way. OJR (original Japanese release) for Zoids and Gen 1 for Pokemon.

I also collect Care Bears and Popples.
I'd love to start a Jem collection but so far I haven't found any Jem dolls at all, and if I do they are very overpriced. >_<

I actively collect Wrinkles and other Ganz plush. We also have various other plush around including Care Bears, Pound Puppies, Popples, Rainbow Brite, etc. We've had most of it since I was a kid.

The other toys from the G1 era I collect are....
Tonka Keypers.... I have most of the ones I want from this line, though.
Mattel Little Pretties..... I still have a lot of these I need to get.
Lady Lovely Locks..... I only collect the dolls I like. I really only need Duchess Ravenwaves and her comb knomes to complete my doll collection. I hoard pixietails! I love them.

I remember having some of the "G1" Care Bears as a child. My mom says they're stored in her basement, though I have a feeling that they've seen better days.
I do have a small handful of G1 Transformers, and I'm starting to collect a few of the Fairy Tails birds as well (never had them as a child).
EDIT: Just remembered. I also had a handful of the G1 Littlest Pet Shop pets and Polly Pocket sets.

I cannot say that I collect them, but I always look for Hornby "Flower Fairies". I just love those winged dolls. I have the original "Book of the flower fairies" (from my grandmother) and have always liked the pictures and the little poems.
I only have three of them, but I hope to find more.

My main collection is actually dolls rather than ponies so I have some dolls from that era in my collection. Mostly barbie but I also have some sindy stuff from the 80s.
I also collect some care bears, moondreamers and Jem. I'm hoping to get some glo friends things as well.

I adore Fairy Tail birds and Mattel Pretty Kitties, I hope to start collecting them soon in addition to ponies. :biggrin:

I collect lots of G1 Era and onwards "girls toys" if I find them. There is just something about toys from the 80s and after that appeals to me however I can't seem to muster the same enthusiasm for most 70s and earlier toys. My favorites animal figures (both brushable and nonbrushable) and small dolls like SSC.

Owh I forgot to at that I also really love the My Child dolls from Mattel, they are called Mijn Kleintje here in Holland, translated My Little One!!!!
I sadly sold my childhood one because money was tight, but I bought one back from a collector of these dolls!
And I have plans te re-collect my Barbie dolls I had from childhood, because mine are ruined by my 2 nieces who asked *Can we play with your Barbie dolls* And because I was always very careful with my toys my parents bought me the real barbies from Mattel and my nieces who played very rough with their toys got mostly fake Barbie dolls where you can easily pop the head off to put the clothes on....but this is not the case with Mattel dolls. Or you must do it very carefully!!! So they broke 4 necks....and ruined my only Ken doll in like a half hour time! And didn't say a thing!!! No they put them on the bottom of the bin I kept them and put everything else on top...and because I didn't really played with them anymore because I was like 14/15 I discovered it a couple off months later!!! I was SOOOO angry!!!!! :( *Spoiled little brats!*

80's toys carry so much nostalgia for me! Right now like many of you I am collecting Fairy Tails birds. I need just one more of the UK variants! (Extras of normal releases for sale on my post in the sales forum.)

My main collections are 80s Cabbage Patch Kids, vintage Pound Puppies (Hornby, but have ones from other countries too), and recollected childhood Care Bears and Strawberry Shortcake, and Charmkins. Have collected then downsized G1 MLP, and still have my childhood ones and merchandise.
Have also collected more vintage SSC Orange Blossom merchandise. And I collect vintage (mainly 80s, some 70s) Snoopy stationary and anything I can find in charity shops. Still have my Sylvanians but was a teen when they came out.
I would love to collect soft toy Care Bears, have resold or traded lots, but wanted to keep them, and always wanted a Puffalump. The cat or cow probably. Have resold lots of 80s toys on Ebay, as I can't collect everything, but still hung onto them for a while just as I never had them as a child. So have sold Wuzzles, Care Bears, and lots of others, got 3 Popples that I will have to put on Ebay at some stage, but I haven't room or money to keep anything.

Oh my goodness so much *wonderful* in this thread!!! I only collect ponies, simply for a space thing I have to just stick to one thing. But.... Oh if I had space!!! I would totally collect Sylvanian Families, I never had them as a kid, but my friend had loads, a big mansion and loads of other stuff. I always really wanted the gypsy caravan set *swoon* I'd probably also collect Polly Pockets, again never had them as a kid, but this same friend did. And Keypers too, I've got the Mummy and Baby Snail and their little friend, but I'd love to have the others, my friend at school had the swan, wow she was beautiful!! So really, it's probably good I don't have space, I'd need to be a millionaire to buy all the things I wish I could buy!!! :D

Love this thread :) Most of the other 80s toys collections I have are saved from childhood but I have also added to a few collections as well. Besides ponies I also have Strawberry Shortcake (dolls), Rainbow Brite, Lady Lovely Locks, Fashion Star Fillies, Care Bears (plush), Little Pretties, Sylvanians/Maple Town, and Monchhichi. I really love other 80s toys and have odds and ends like a couple Polly Pockets, Blinky and Ursa Moondreamers, Gloworm finger puppet and a Shimmer figure but nothing that really constitutes a collection.

Rainbow Brite, Moondreamers, Shimmers, Star Fairies, and Strawberry Shortcake (but just the foreign dolls and berrykins and prototypes).
I used to collect Lady Lovelylocks and Rose Petal Place, but sold most of them off in an effort to downsize.
I would like to downsize more, (except Rainbow Brite and Shimmers and small foreign SSC) but it is difficult. I do love my dolls PLUS I don't have a ton of free time so it isn't really worth it to sell ow value things (which is a lot) but large lots are not usually very appealing to people.
Adding some photos for fun... is anyone in the market for a complete collection of Star Fairies? Lol

I mainly collect the Kenner Littlest Pet shop, but I do have a pretty good collection of Polly Pockets and Grand Champions :) Love those horses, lol!!! I also look for the original Nancy Drew books when I go to antique stores (the blue fabric covers, not the yellow covers).

I still have a few of my childhood toys, such as Lego and my childhood Action Man collection and Sindys and their horses, and a few other childhood early 80s toys, but my main collections are Cabbage Patch Kids, and Vintage Pound Puppies. I have also re-collected my Care Bears (downsized just to the characters I had in childhood) and recollected SSC, (and additionally have bought vintage Orange Blossom merchandise, like the Berry Baby, Blow Kiss baby, etc). Still have Snoopy stuff from childhood and will pick up any vintage Snoopy merchandise, he's a hero of mine. I didn't have Popples, Moondreamers, Rainbow Brite, Glo Worms, or most other toy lines but wanted certain characters, like that Moondreamers polar bear, the Rainbow Brite horse, a small glow worm in a sleeping bag, the Cow Puffalump, etc! I do admittedly miss my Wuzzle, the Piggypine one, but don't want to start new collections so trying not to get tempted!
