Title: ID Help: Shortcake fakie, vintage plush, much more
Post by: AutisticandProudLuna on August 23, 2015, 08:04:11 AM
Hi! I found some things at the thrift store yesterday (along with some accessories I already had) I'd love some help trying to ID or date!

Here are some misc accessories. The cake says Mattel 2010, and the rest don't seem to have words. The tiny comb has a swirl design on it.

This fakie in the middle. I've never seen double-colored hair before! She came in the outfit as far as I know. Her material is at least as solid as Strawberry, much more than the other fakie (both pictured by comparison). She has molded underwear like a Barbie, purple eyes, and factory curl as far as I can tell.

Some kind of seahorse and maybe a Sylvanian family member?

Some vintage (?) plush. The orange bear has such soft fur it almost seems less old? It says made in Korea and distributed by house merchandising inc. The cat(?) with overalls says made in Taiwan for Target stores, and the bunny says The Rushton Company and does seem very old.

A few more things to add in a bit too. Thank you!! :frolic:

The SSC fakie is from DG. They had several different ones. Pretty sure the SeaHorse is Barbie and the elephant is almost certainly Sylvanian Families/Calico Critters.

Yes, the seahorse is Barbie. The eyes are rather distinctive. And the red brush in the first picture is also Barbie, though I don't know which one is belongs to. Quite a few Barbies I had as a child came with brushes like that.

The orange pegasus in the first pic comes in a $1 bag full of them in different colors and poses and is made by Toysmith if I remember right. I got a bag of them from Target.
