I'm getting back into drawing and I've been trying to put together some art offerings for a Vendor's booth I'll run at a new local convention, Super Speedy Cider Con (http://superspeedycidercon.com/). The style I'm using is great for a coloring book and I'd like to have a good estimation on how likely it is for this to work. Because they're coloring pages, they're inexpensive to mass produce and even a small profit is possible at low volumes. ;)
It'll be multi-Gen, ponies only for the subjects. I've mostly G1 but I do have sheets with G2 and G3 in it and am working on a G4 sheet that makes some semblance of sense (which is harder for me than I expected.... ^^; ).
So, color-time anyone?

I actually don't care much for coloring myself but from a business perspective bound coloring books are profitable where loose sheets are not.
Also loose sheets are typically used to drum up interest and group participation. They're seen as more of a freebie type thing. Transporting individual pages without crumpling them is also an issue for the buyer whereas in a bound format it's a packet and less likely to wrinkle and crumple.
But that's just my two cents.

I think a small bound coloring book could be profitable, like a 3x5 size with 6 pages? I see similar things at cons pretty frequently! On a different note, I'll be at SSCC and I can't wait to check out your booth!

I'd suggest a medium coloring book with a couple extra loose sheets.
