Title: MLP Recipes
Post by: Sparkle Pony on July 30, 2015, 08:44:30 PM
What are some MLP recipes you've found or made up yourself over the years?  I wanna hear all about your pony related food goodness!

I also feel like I made a thread about this before, but I couldn't find it so I'm probably just being delusional.

While at a Goodwill I spotted the "Pink Pony Cookbook."  Lost of pictures of fun looking treats with, you guessed it, pony models.  It was really cute and, for obvious reasons, the author couldn't use MLP-related names...but there was a distinct theme.

I left it behind because it wasn't "my thing," but definitely worth looking into if you like to bake!

There was a thread that had a MLP inspired grilled cheese

:/ I never could find the brioche bread so I could try it...

The only thing that comes to mind when I think of pony and food is desserts. (And maybe hotdogs/hamburgers cuz of munchy, lol)

Aw man, that makes me want to like... do some sort of photo/recipe thing with really gorgeous salads, veg, fruit, and oat themed dishes... then fancy fancy deserts.  I mean, horses, so it seems like everything would make sense to be more veg themed, apart from the ubiquitous sweets (well... horses do like sugar).  I mean granted one could take it in another direction and make foods in the SHAPE of mlp and their symbols and such too... hm...

oh oh! There's a thick and short G3 coloring book, that has Scootaloo's Cookies and Sweetie Bell's something or other.

I'll find it and post pics!  They are official recipies!

I did some pony cupcakes for work a year or so ago - we had Applejack & Cinnamon, Lemon Treats and a couple of others. Nothing really pony like except me stealing pony names to pop on fruit cupcakes :P

Haha that Smooze one sounds cute.  Pretty curious about the G3 recipes too, Hasbro sure doesn't do official stuff very often as far as cooking goes.

Sorry everyone, it's been a little crazy for me.  I'll look for the G3s here in the next few days.

I think I know the one you're talking about! :P I can't remember if I still have that one or not but it sounds familiar.

The G4 comics have (had?) pony-related recipes in them, although sometimes the link was very tenuous! I've made Applejack's apple muffins a few times (they are yummy, and dead easy!

yah!  the Pinkie Pie one sounds difficult!

and I'm not a corn flake fan... so I probably will pass on Scoots...

I still didn't find the book so there may be more.  (I dug through 3 years of my Facebook and found those two scans!)
