Title: Different Hybrid ponies - valuable or trash? TAKING OFFERS
Post by: pandabear_chan on July 28, 2015, 02:52:33 AM
Hi Nirvana experts,

what can you tell me about this lot please? You have different hybrids of the following ponies (sorry I don't know more atm):

Baby Pony- head+ tail: B. Blossom HK, body - nivana B. Surprise: NC
Powderberry - head+ tail: Boysenberry Pie HK or China, body: Powder
Skywhirly - head+ tail: could be mexican Swirly Whirly?, body: Skydancer
Moondancer - head+ tail: Mexican Moondancer, body: ???
Ticklebet - head+ tail: HK Sherbet , body: Tickle HK
Tickleshell - head+ tail: Seashell HK - body: Tickle Italy
Applecherry - head+ tail: Cherries Jubilee, body: Applejack
Windscotch - head+ tail: Hopscotch Italy, body: Wind Whistler HK
Firecherry-  head + tail: Cherries Jubilee, body: Firefly

Usually I would say that somebody was creative using different body and heads BUT what makes me wondering (with my little knowledge) is that in every case the head AND tail have been combined with a naked body? And sometimes a nirvana with a usual one? Really strange...

So are these just funny but for trash or really worth something? If yes, how would you value them?

No clue of the value, but I'm loving Wingscotch

I saw that lot too and think it's very sad for the original ponies  :(
Some combinations look cute and perhaps I would like them if really made of standard baits, but any nirvana pony would be prefered original for me, I even don't do rehairs because I like them original and sometimes they tell a playtime story how they look :)
For value there is no pony in complete with correct head and body, so for me it would not be much - perhaps only if you need a replacement part for the right one that is really damaged on original pony

Looks like blatant head-switching to make people bid high on "variants".  Tails are easy to replace and they didn't have to reroot because they just switched heads.

The baby pony has Baby Blossom's head, you can see her freckles.

I agree that I wouldn't have used Nirvanas for these, but some combinations look great.

Firefly has Cherries Jubilee's head / tail.  Applejack also has Cherries Jubilee's head / tail.

I think Skydancer has Swirly Whirly's head / tail.

I'm sure some of the heads are Mexican, especially yellow and white Swirly Whirly and Cherries Jubilee. Hopscotch looks Italian as well.

I'm still totally confused!

That's.... really odd! Some of them do look nice, but it's going to be tough to put an actual value on it. Would still suggest offering though. Windscotch looks lovely like that!

Thanks ladies, if anyone likes to have one of these Hybrids just let me know and send me an offer. I was asked about trading them for some of my ponies. If not then they'll probably go to German ebay.
