since there's 2 exclusives this year, I thought I might as well get both (since I have Chicken Pie on the way) and pick up the Science Twilight ^.^

Your best bet is to check the Hasbrotoyshop.com about a week after SDCC is over. I'm sure they will have a good number of the dolls in stock.

that's actually what I'm trying to avoid xD

Oh, well in that case good luck. I don't even ask my family members to pick up loot for me at the Hasbro booth, because the line is so insane, you really could be there all day... and then of course you have stuff to schlep around all day
Makes paying the fairly normal sized Hasbro shipping charge, seem not that unreasonable after all - at least to me :D

Would it be overpriced at the hasbro site?

probably the same price, but ever since Muffins I just want to guarantee I get her since it was such a nightmare trying to get her

Nope- and there are bound to be tons, the Equestria Girl SDCC doll (Mane-iac) who is certainly more popular than Twilight- stayed in stock for over a week (as did the SDCC pony last year and the year before)

oh really??

Yep. Ever since the first year that the pony sold out so fast (muffin) they increased the edition size dramatically. DJ Pony was around for WEEKS. Mane-iac was around for at least a week, as was her doll counterpart. SO I would not panic and I would not, if I were you, resort to ebay or pay an inflated price. Just wait for the shop to open.
Someone at SDCC said that there was a sign on the Hasbro booth that announced the exclusives would go up in the shop on July 28th this year. So check out the shop on that day. Expect it to crash a lot since LOTS of other people will be doing the same- but I would not worry about them running out of Equestria Girls or Pinkie (the star wars exclusives on the other hand, usually do run out very fast)

aaaah that makes sense, since the last exclusive I bought was Muffins, I did resort buying her on Ebay but from what I saw they only lasted about 10 minutes or so.
