...you find a bag of baby pony stacking toys nestled in the corner of your sock drawer.
I have no idea how they got there, or why. xD.
Anyone else found pony accessories (any generation) in random places in your house? I dug out a princess comb from the bottom of my wardrobe yesterday, too, but I think the stacking toys win...
-
I found a comb INSIDE a sock in my sock drawer....I'm really anal about my socks and sock drawer, so I have no idea how the shooting star got in there or why...
-
HAAHAHA I just had this happen last night - going through my fabric scrap bin! I have no idea how those combs and ribbons got there, but they did...
-
I find G3 brushes everywhere. Purses, undie drawers, sock drawers, laundry baskets, even found one on the floor of my car. No idea how that one got there. It must have fell off a shelf and into my purse.
-
Heehee :D I'm so glad I'm not the only one!
My mother actually gave me the advice of putting a bag on my desk to put any stray accessories I found in. It began because I was sorting boxes from the attic into which tiny bits and combs and ribbons had got stuck, but now I seriously have three bags of accessories on the unit, including a pick for Tabby (who I don't even have, so that must be my sister's) and three separate birthday party sets (one Euro, one Uk, one US). The thing with the stacky toys is that I am pretty sure I sorted my stacking toys already. So where did these come from??? ><

When you hyperventilate at Walmart because there's a new pony shirt in the little girl section and they have an xlarge (which should totally fit!).
-
when you find soemthing new in the pony aisle thatyou'v e been looking for adn you sqeal. loudly...
-
...when you sit on the floor in Target and go through each and every blind bag to find the ones you need.
-
When my pony collection and I lived at my parents house, accessories would be in my bathroom drawers, my parents linen closet, and in the kitchen cabinets. I don't know how they all would get there. To this day, I still find accessories I knew I once had. I found the princess buggy wheels in their garage last week! Every week, when I go back over to visit, I look in all nooks and crannies for the off chance I will find ponies or accessories. I usually return home with at least one more pony hair brush.
-
I lost a few pony combs once, found them a few days later.. in my mum's laptop bag. How the heck did they end up in there?!
-
when you have to make payments on ponies!!!
-
When your freaking out beacuse you lost your newborn twin and pull apart everything you just put in order to find that its under another pony.
When you get so happy over findeing a sleeping bag that you actuelly cry.
-
I remember finding a comb in my school pencil pouch.... I had no idea how that ended up in there.
-
...when you sit on the floor in Target and go through each and every blind bag to find the ones you need.
When you go through FIVE ENTIRE FULL BOXES of blindbags to find that one wave completer, finding every other pony in the wave at least 4 times before finally digging her up.
-
my drawer is stuffed with random pony stuff LoL my closet has a ton of pony stuff in it as well! Yesterday I actually found a FS Twilight shoe behind my tv set! xD
-
When you automatically evaluate containers and shelves/cases in terms of their ability to display ponies.
-
when you have to make payments on ponies!!!
that isnt normal? XD
When you automatically evaluate containers and shelves/cases in terms of their ability to display ponies.
doesnt everyone do that normally? lol i oftne looka roudn adn go ooh.. that'll be great!
-
Last month I was unpacking all my old ornaments and trinkets (I finally have shelves to put them on!), and I found a birthday cake candle in a goblet. (From my childhood Party Pack). Pony bits get everywhere!
-
Haha.. yes!!
..when you tell yourself, "Ok, this is my last purchase for the moment/week/month/year.." and it never is.. >_<
-

That would be the day! They only seem to go up to Large here, which doesn't fit. They do have little girls' dresses in X-Large, and once I actually tried to fit into a Twilight one hoping to use it as a big shirt. I failed. **headdesk.**

When you take a week off work to catch up on "pony business"
-
... When you check EBay ever single day at least twice for a G1 Tales pony...
-
People at work know you are a collector and you always randomly find pony gifts at your desk. XD Even the wardens know I collect and tease me about it.
-
when you manage to find all versions of one pony   and when you finally succeed you want to do the same with an other pony >_< >_<
-
When you contemplate the cost of other purchases in terms of ponies. "Yeah, I could buy that DVD set, but it's like 10 ponies!!"

I've done that a number of times, they're like an alternate unit of currency now.
How about going through the toy aisles every trip to the store to check for new ponies? Or whenever you're traveling going to stores to see if they have ponies that aren't out in your area? Or when you look at a common household object and wonder if they make one with ponies on it.
-
...you leave no pony behind, ever, no matter what. Even crummy McDonald's ponies. With haircuts.
-
I love these.

Yes!
And when you literally have ponies all over your bookshelves, in the Breyer display, in baskets, under your bed, in your bed with the stuffed animals , in the guest room, in the bathroom (drying), in your brother's spare bedroom (patient brother), on your piano, on the patio sunfading, and . . . in the freezer. (fixing distorted body parts) My dad was commenting about how ponies are taking over. XD
-
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who does stuff like this! I'm always wanting pony shirts from the little girl's section, they're just so darn cute, much cuter than most pony shirts aimed at older people! I'm also a big user of APC (Alternate Pony Currency), its such a handy unit of monetary value that I use it without thinking. And yes, I often wonder if I could get various inane objects with ponies on them instead. You guys are my people.
-
lol, I'm the exact opposite when it comes to accessories. I cannot stand them and offload them at the first chance I get. I'm a terrible person and with G3+, I literally toss the brushes out. I had a niece come over for Thanksgiving and she was playing with my baits an asked for a brush and I handed her the comb I use for restorations and she and her mom both looked at me like I was crazy. My SiL said "Out of ALL of the ponies you have, you don't have one of their brushes?" and I had to laugh and tell her nope :)
-
You bring a pony with you almost every time you go out!
Also, when you look at the pony section a lot at Walmart, even though you know it's just the same stuff.
-
Haha.. yes!!

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who does this. I said to my mother how many ponies something was worth the other day
I got a few more...
When you're typing in a search engine and realise you've just typed ponies instinctively instead of what you meant. :P
Or when you have a day off and decide to rearrange your pony displays, and when you're finally finished you look at the clock... to discover 5 hours have passed! (literally last week for me)

Yesterday, my floor was recarpeted with my pony accessories, 2 stables, 2 grooming parlours, dream castle, one waterfall, one hair salon, one nursery and one dance school as I played match the accessory.I have barely begun with the attic playsets.
Yet I am still ebaying for accessories because I don't have them all!
I swear mlp is a disease.

Lol Taffeta right now I'm trying to find the floor so I can play that game so far I have one 55 gal tub FULL of unsorted accessories and I'm still finding more stuff as I'm cleaning plus yes I just bought a large lot on eBay to get a few more things that I need....
When I finish sorting I'm going to be picturing the excess and getting them up on my Sales Page..

OMG this is me too!! I do this with everything, especially junk food! Which is why my pantry is all canned veggies, mac n cheese, rice, and those cheap 25cent cup ramen! xD The other day I was having an estrogen rush and wanted to cave and buy ice cream, donuts, french fries, cereal, and the expensive pasta sauce but I was like "hmmmmm this is the same amount of that Build a Bear pony im missing! " I recently paid rent and all I can think about is how many $50 glitter Funko variant ponies I could buy with that monies... @-@ but....I gotta have someplace to live to put the ponies on my shelf! xD Life is so hard as a pony collector.

Likewise! Complicating my sorting is my sister's unhelpful memory of what playsets she had. Conversation goes kinda like this:
Me: Naynie, do you have a Show Stable?
Naynie: Dunno. Maybe?
Me: ...
Years ago, when we used to go to carboot sales people would often not sell ponies separate from buildings so at one point we had about eight Show Stables. We still seem to have three, and one I know is mine from childhood that I had second hand. I've sorted out a complete set of accessories for it except the yellow brush which I know is somewhere but don't know where. The problem is working out which of the three is actually my stable...and whether one of the others belongs to my sister or whether we have two to take to carboot ><.
-
I just opened my knitting project drawer and found Primrose, Italy Pinwheel, two Takara baby fakies, and two glo worm baby pony accessories. So that's where I put them......
-
You've got pony merch in the storage shed (and don't even know what you own anymore), ponies in the garage, ponies in the kitchen, ponies in the guest bedroom, and then ponies in your own bedroom. The only room in the house without ponies is the bathroom.
-
When you find yourself sitting staring at your ponies thinking how beautiful they are, and sometimes even tell them out loud!
Jules x
-
When you wernt planning on having expensive grails and yet here we are lusting after Mimic and surprise twins mommy. G1 giant babies to boot >_<
-
...when you are organizing your ponies and you have all of them out on the floor then have an instinctual urge to swim in them! (did this earlier when reorganizing my plushies!) Hey, I couldnt resist!!!
-
There are no clothes in your closet, only ponies. (and other toys.)

when you're looking though a box of all the boxes you've kept of ponies you've opened only to find you had ponies you don't even remember buying in there :lookround:
-

OMG your coworkers sound awesome!

When you consider ponies a part of your budget, but clothes/makeup/going out/anything else a bit of an extravagance.
-

This is me also! If I open that closet door, the extreme amount of pony stored in it pretty much has a pink aura shining off it LoL!

...when you will overpay for super common ponies at a garage sale just so you can "rescue" them.
-
... when you're house hunting and you tell the realtor that you HAVE to have a place with 3 bedrooms; not because you want children, but because you need a guest room, your bedroom, and a pony room, and your significant other agrees (just went through this before buying a house earlier this year).
Also, when you look at the pony section a lot at Walmart, even though you know it's just the same stuff.
Lol I do this all the time, but Walmart definitely sucks when it comes to ponies. It's gotten to the point where my fiance will go "Wanna check toys? I know there isn't anything there, but we can check anyway."

When you are designing your dream house and instruct the architect to add a wing over the garage for a pony room. My dream room has rooms, washing facilities, craft area to work on customs, and of course a painting station. :art:

When you have an insatiable need to check the pony aisle every time you go to a store that has them. You know there will be nothing new but you just have to look because "what if, just what if" And if you skip going to that toy aisle you feel as though you really missed out on something evne though you know for a fact they'll just have the same 3 Pinkie Pies that have been shelf-warming for over a year.

this was me today xD "BUT WHAT IF" always gets me!
-
When you're looking round your bedroom and there are ponies covering every available surface. They're on every chest of drawers, filling all three of the shelves I bought them and crowding round the tv. There are also two full boxes of them in the wardrobe. Time for another trip to Ikea I think!

Exactly Me. Every Store. X|
also when your wardrobe is being taken over by ponies. ... the whole top shelf is MIB MLP now! :| .. and i still try to shove clothes up there between ponies anyway...

I just did this today, but it was at Walmart I hadn't been to in a while. I was hoping to find a Roseluck doll, or at least Lyra or Bon Bon, but no luck.

Yep, pretty much my room, too! Some are for sale, but still . . .

Second that!
Or when you occasionally find ponies in really odd places - the freezer - kitchen cupboards - the bottom of your sock drawer....
