Title: MLP Bedding - lets discuss! Show your stuff!
Post by: Einhornbaby on May 21, 2015, 06:14:04 AM
Hi there :)

I was just taking some new pics for my website and thought, I might as well share them with you here! Since I was about doing pics from my vintage MLP bedding, I thought it would be cool to discuss MLP bedding in general and see what others own! So, show yours please :D

(btw, sorry about that Copyright-symbol... :/ since my pics have been stolen and used for shady things in the last years I try to put it on all new pics I take now)

Here is my first set. Im not 100% sure if it really is genuine MLP stuff. I mean, it shows recognizable ponies (Dancing Butterflys, Dibbles & Nibbles, Baby Shady and Baby Lickety Split) but it does not say My Little Pony anywhere and it has no tags at all. The colors are a little weird too, lol. Anyway, I think its suuuuuper cute, so here it it :

And this is my other set. I believe it to be genuine MLP merchandise. Its super pretty and has soo many details!!

I am in love with that set! ...if they made Pony bedding in king-sized, I would be all over that!  Hubby wouldn't have much say (though he really doesn't care anyway :P ).  My only 'bedding' is a FiM body pillow that he picked up for me at Walmart.  :lovey:  He's so sweet!

I'll have to take pictures later of it.  ^.^

Ooh! what inspiration :)
My fiancé and I were just joking about making the spare bed MLP themed, since we just upgraded to a queen size and missed the opportunity to ponify our own bed.
Now that Im seeing the glory of it-----MUST HAVE!!!

I wish I could show mine, I have the blue cloud comforter and bed sheet. However The comforter has been washed so much that it exploded in the wash one day 'Sigh'..

And the sheet I am turning into a crazy quilt along with other 80's sheets.
Will be so cool!

I wish they made pony sheet sets for queen sized beds!  My fiance even said he wouldn't care if we had pony sheets, pillows, etc. but it seems like full size is the biggest they get.

As far as I can tell, yup.  I have looked for our beds as well (hubby said he wouldn't care) but I have only found full as the biggest they go.  Thus, the body pillow hubby got me. :P

The FiM one from Walmart?  I have that too!  I also have the three different pillows with Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle's faces on them.  Those aren't on my bed, though.  I threw them on the couch.

I have all the different g1 bedding pieces I've been made aware of plus a lot of custom g1 throw pillows I bought on here and on Ebay from the same seller. I wish I had pics (they're all at home in Ohio) and I REALLY wish I had something to fit a queen sized bed too!

I do have a couple pics I posted on Instagram anyway. A few of my throw pillows (I think I have like 7 in total?)

When I moved out, I suddenly had the urge to ponify my bedroom, so I got a sheet set, comforter, and a few pillows, among other things.

The comforter is reversible, too. The other side is a soft pink with outlines of Pinkie, Twilight, Rainbow, and Rarity's heads in a rainbow gradient.

I wish they made pony sheet sets for queen sized beds!  My fiance even said he wouldn't care if we had pony sheets, pillows, etc. but it seems like full size is the biggest they get.

Actually, my bed is queen size, and the comforter and sheet fit fine.  I even got the fitted sheet on there, but it's a pillowtop mattress, and even on there it was a tight fit.  But it is possible.

I have the same bedding judhudson has, except I also have the fleece blanket.  The pillow case is two sided so one side you get rainbow dash and the other side is pinkie pie and twilight.  You can also reverse the comforter and have just stars and things like that.  I also have the sheets for that set.

I also have this set in my closet:

visitors can't see pics , please register or login

I don't have the sheets anymore as they were cheap quality and became too rough to sleep in.  I had the Pinkie Pie Pillow with that set too but in a state at time where I didn't like MLP anymore I donated it to good will.  :lookround:  I gave my niece the fleece blanket from that set because it also lost it's softness.  I still have the pillow case and comforter though.

I don't have anything to show yet, but I'm going to be making my own pony bedding once I can afford to after my move. I'm going to to be making a sheet set, pillowcases, and hopefully a quilt too once i learn how to do so.

Does custom or hand made stuff count?

In my opinion it does if it's MLP bedding. :)

I have a comforter I can show later! I don't have any good pictures right now. It's G3 and I use it all the time (though it's way too small to actually go on my bed). I also have a good story of how I obtained it to go along with it. :)

Well, if custom bedding counts, I have this quilt I made over the winter.

I also have this piece that I did.  It is an official g4 comforter that I've altered to better match the color scheme I wanted.  This is going into the playroom at my parent's house for the nieces.

Einhornbaby, your 2nd set is definitely genuine. I have some wallpaper that goes with that set, too - and a cushion lke the heartshaped ones. No photos of the bedding I have, though...it's all in the attic. I wanted to get rid of some of it but sister refused xd. I think there are 2, maybe 3 sets but then there are curtains and stuff as well so I can't remember for sure.

I don't think I have anything belonging to any other generation. Just G1.

Those handcrafted quilts are amazing, Sunset - especially the first one!

It's 2 sided and has so much detail.  The front seems to have early ponies (Heart Throb, Lofty, Peachy/Snuzzle, Tootsie) with strange colours.  The back has some weird colours and a few accurate ones (mainly babies), featuring Dream Castle and Paradise Estate.

I have a G3 fleece blanket somewhere but it's only a small one. I want the G4 comforter with Celestia on it.

I have that duvet set, pretty sure! My sister won't part with any of them, sadly, but I remember it distinctly. Not sure if it is UK or international, though.

I saw some vintage pony bedding stuff used in craft items at the Hyper Japan in London this year. I've seen it there before, as well - clothing made from old MLP fabrics. I'm not sure whether to be annoyed with them or impressed by their creativity, to be honest...since it does breathe new life into things that might not otherwise get aired, but each one does take another original set out of the community...

YES!!! THIIISSSSSZZZZ :lovey: Hhmmmmmm after seeing this I *MIGHT* have to add this to my xmas list!? :3 I can seriously buy the smallest size- also the cheapest one, because for my pony room I wanted a small 'fake' MLP themed bed (fake as in a bunch of 1ft tall boxes of my non-displayable pony crap with a blowup $8 camping twin mattress on top to make it look like a childs bed) JUST for show! :P Because pony beds are TOO CUTE!!! :squee:

OMG I LOVE the reversable side BTW!!

oh wow me too, i have mixed feelings, though those pieces might go out to non collectors/mlp enthusiast so might be thrown away after they are finished with them.  i sure would love the duvet, sheets or curtains with that fabric. its so gorgeous and colourful vintage goodness ;)
