Karma was my partner for the Fantasy Swap. She had a lot of awesome ideas on her list but my favorite was this guy. As soon as I saw him, I knew I wanted to bring him to life, so to speak.

I started out with a super baity Quarterback. I drilled holes behind his ears and inserted the wires that would become the framework for his horns. I used apoxy to sculpt his horns. I drilled holes down the middle of his back to act as hair plugs.
His body was airbrushed a dark grey color. His muzzle was aibrushed white, I brush-painted little wisps of fur in his ears, and hand-painted his eyes and horns with acrylics.
He was rehaired using red yarn. Many thanks to those of you who shared your yarn rehairing tutorials, I watched quite a few of them! His mohawk was styled to give a poofy look and his tail was flat-ironed to give a sleek look.
This pony marked a lot of firsts for me. First time using wire to anchor in horns, first time sculpting horns, first time drilling holes in a pony, and first time working with yarn. I am super happy with how he turned out. He was hard to send off, I got pretty attached to him! Anyway, here he is:

Like everyone is saying: the eyes are amazing! They are kind of mesmorizing! Also the mane of fur is pretty cool idea - is that rooted all the way down the back?

Yes it is. I drilled small holes down the middle of his back, just like the plugs in his head, so I could root the hair in a stripe down his back.

He is great in every way but those eyes really finish the kind of intimidating look! Cool results, one wouldn't guess they were your first tries. :D

OOOooo, that's so hardcore. I'd be too worried that I'd mess up to do that :P
(btw, some relatives were over last weekend and admired the Nausicaa you made for me!)

I would have never thought about rehairing with yarn (side note, as a forum newbie I'm learning something new everyday!). It looks really cool and adds such fun texture to this guy!
