Title: "De-Restoring" something?
Post by: Squirrelypaws on March 31, 2015, 12:37:48 PM
Does anyone know of a way to "de-restore" a toy without damaging the original paint underneath the "restored" areas?

I have two Lion King II Kiara room guards that I found at yard sales. They were both pretty marked up, and as I didn't know of the wonder that is a Magic Eraser at the time, I decided to "restore" them and re-painted their painted paws, bellies, and muzzles. Well, being a novice at such things, I honestly did a really bad job. XD So I was hoping there might be a way to remove that paint without ruining the factory paint. Any ideas?

If time makes any difference, the paint I want to remove has been on them for 5-6 years. It's cheap paint from Walmart; Apple Barrel, I think? Abd I never sealed it or anything.

Soak it in warm water then rub it off carefully.
