Title: What sparked your desire to collect MLP?
Post by: palaisdejouets on March 24, 2015, 09:39:47 AM
I was thinking about how I'm relatively new to collecting ponies, though I've been collecting other vintage toy lines (starting with Strawberry Shortcake) for a number of years.

For a long time, I looked at ponies and thought, "That is WAY too intense of a collection to get into" given the incredible number of ponies and varieties available for collection (I'm thinking of G1 here but the same goes for other gens!)

But now I have actually started collecting MLP G1. So what changed? Well, I think it might come down to one pony ... Fizzy. I kept seeing pics of her and she just drew me in. She was my gateway collecting pony, that got me to dig out and clean my childhood ponies and start displaying them, plus my new acquisitions. Another impetus was that in the last couple of years I have been thrifting a LOT and when I see a G1 pony I cannot leave it behind. Same goes for G4 and good condition G3s now, too!

I know some of you technically never "started" collecting because you have been into ponies since the very first days in the '80s. But what turned you from a casual admirer into a collector?

I've always loved horses, so when G3 came around right when I was in the "target age" I was hooked!  I remember bringing ponies to elementary school in my lunch box, haha.  I never really stopped collecting, though.  When G3 ended, I kind of just moved directly into G3.5, and then G4.

I'd wanted to get into G1s for a while but I was intimidated by the idea of it  But I was browsing eBay for G3s when I spotted an auction for TAF Milky Way, and I knew I had to have her.  There was just something so beautiful about her.  This was before my Arena days (I joined once I had her in hand), so I had no idea what I was doing and put in kind of a crazy max bid for $20 or something (she's nowhere near mint, so that would have been over paying by quite a margin) but thankfully I won her for less than $10 counting shipping haha.  All I knew was that I had to have her and I'd be crushed to lose the auction!  I liked her even more in person, so naturally more G1s have joined since, and a G2.

Growing up, I never liked ponies.  I was also born in 1990, so that seemed to be towards the tail end of the pony craze here in the US (because I think G2s didn't last very long here?  I don't really know) but anyway...

I got into MLP with Friendship is Magic back in 2010, but I started as just as casual viewer of the show.  One of my best friends has been a pony fan since G1, so I noticed her looking at toys at Walmart whenever we'd go shopping, and that sparked my interest.  I just HAD to have something Rainbow Dash, so I picked up the toy of her that came with the little scooter.  Soon after that I began collecting blind bags.  Almost a year later, Funko released Dashie and :muffin: pony vinyl figures and my roommate picked them up for me since he knew I liked the show.  It was all downhill from there.

As for G1s, I didn't start collecting them until last year.  I saw a post about Night Glider on here and I instantly knew that I needed to own her.  I talked to my fiance about her (because I always bug him about pony stuff) and he surprised me by finding and buying her on Etsy for me.  I thought she'd be my only G1, but then I went to MyLittleWiki and my list grew longer and longer.  Now I own about 25 G1s.

I started collecting when I was about 8-9 that is when the pony line came out in 1982. I remember the first flat footed ponies and so on. I had a dream castle and a show stable. I loved playing with my ponies. They were one of the toys I loved but, I gave all mine away when I was a teenager. Except for two ponies that was Curly Locks and Twinkler. No idea why I kept those two either.
Then I spotted Medley on "Dream Valley." I wondered if one was for sale. On a whim I checked ebay. 1001 or more ponies later. I think I have a big collection. I guess I could blame Medley for all my woes but I love her. Im like 9 ponies away from a complete Us collection. I have two on my list coming. :) Non Us Mail Orders that is.

I didn't collect ponies as a kid. I grew up in the 90s, and that was G2-G3? Yeaaah I still don't really like the look of those gens compared to the others, though G2 is beginning to grow on me. I wasn't ever fond of "brushable" toys. I did, however, have a small herd of more realistically-coloured fakies (with shorter hair lol).

I watched FiM on recommendation of a friend and ended up really enjoying it. The characters are cute, and the world is interesting, and it actually has some really good morals and stuff for a product aimed at children (I actually wrote an essay on it for university discussing queer representation in media, using the episode where Spike has a crisis because he's a dragon but acts like a pony, and eventually accepts that that's what he likes, which is an interesting exploration of gender identity and roles, and from an angle you don't usually see (usually it's the tomboy girl character), anyway I digress.)

I've always been a collector. It began with some blind bags I won off Ebay, then when I was doing my shopping I found Lyra Heartstrings' brushable in Tesco and things kinda snowballed from there! The community has also been one of the most friendly and welcoming I've ever entered, the "bronies", and older fans both. I probably hung around more because of how fun it was to discuss and hunt ponies  I've since branched out into G1s, too!

i used to be really really into fim when it first came out, and i sorta dropped out of it for a while, but i kept seeing pictures of vintage ponies all over the place and i really liked the look of g2s, so i started collecting! i was only interested in g2s at first, but my aunt gave me her childhood pony bride and i sort of fell in love with g1s, and then i watched a g3 movie and now i love g3s too :relaxed:

When I was a kid, I got given a bundle of G1 ponies that used to belong to my aunt; they all ended up being given away, so I started collecting them a couple of years ago in a hope to replace my childhood favourites. From there, I found other ponies that were really appealing and ended up with a small but diverse collection of ponies from there. :)

I first got into MLP when G3 first came to my country. I was about 9. I've had no interest in 'girly' toys before then, however, I was quite a horse lover. My dad bought me Flippity Flop and she was my first pony. However 4 ponies later my interest in them kind of disappeared. I got into Bratz dolls and LPS.

At age 12, I rediscovered MLP and bought a few more ponies, plus quite a few Ponyville sets. Later I discovered G1 and G2 and it was so exciting! I didn't like the look of G1s at first but soon they grew on me. Since then I was always interested in ponies, just never had the money to buy the ones I really wanted.

Basically what got me into ponies was probably the fact that they were colorful horses. I have always loved bright colors and horses. :D

I collected G1 MLP when I was younger- that's when they were still coming out, hope that doesn't date me too much  :P

But I stopped and skipped G2, G3, G3.5- I was a bit late to the FiM fandom, I got into it between seasons 1 and 2. I started watching it one summer out of random curiosity and boredom, and fell in love with how cute the remake was. I didn't buy any toys, though. I started joking with my mom about how much I loved the new MLP remake, and that Christmas, she got me a playful single Rarity in my stocking as a gag. Little did she know, I absolutely loved it! It still was another half a year before I bought more ponies, but since then, I have been collecting my favorite ponies here and there.

I first started to like ponies when G3 came out and I recieved a couple of them for Christmases and birthdays and then I got hooked for a short time. I mean, what is there not to like about magical rainbow coloured ponies?!  :P

Years later, I found out about FIM and decided to see what all the fuss was about. I had no idea that I would be so interested in MLP again! I started to collect the G4 ponies and then began to re-collect G3s. I also started to collect G3.5,G1 and G2 ponies because they're all so cute!  :good:

I've always loved horses and my grandparents bought me ponies and of course there was the show, so I was hooked early on. After my mom gave away my pony collection I grew out of it for a while. Didn't even know G2 existed but G3s were gorgeous and reminded me of my childhood ponies. When I saw those was when I started wanting to collect again. Then I started hunting around for more G3s and eventually started seeking out G1s.

I currently own
10 G3s
16 G1s
1 Boley Fakie
1 G4

I started toy collecting in 2008 and when I learned about and started watching the current TV-series, it was only natural to start buying/collecting pony toys.

My interest in MLP began as a little kid when my mom got me the G1 Ponies to play with, but my interest pretty much died by the time I got to be in the 3rd or 4th grade. It wasn't until the Friendship is Magic show came out and I saw the new Ponies in stores that my interest was renewed and I started collecting just the G4 ponies. And thanks to watching the 1986 MLP Movie after I bought it on DVD, I renewed my love for G1 and I'm slowly but surely starting to collect G1 Ponies in addition to G4s.

I got my first ponies in 1986 when I was four. During childhood I built up a nice collection of around 30 +/- G1 ponies plus fakies. I always wanted mooooore ponies back then andf there were soo many I wanted to own... but sadly, pocket money isnt much when your goal is to own all the ponies lol. When I grew older I stopped collecting (for a while) then.
In 2003 my daughter was born and in 2004 I started thinking of my old toys. I digged for my old ponies and thankfully they were still there (I had kept 5 in my closet back then while the rest went into storange). Ebay was my next stop, I soon realized that there were brand new ponies (the G3 were just hitting the stores in my area) and soon bought some. My first new pony was Daisyjo and the same week I found some G1 on a fleamarket. Had to buy them and soon realized that I was able to buy all the ponies I ever wanted as a kid. And so I did... lol. At first I only wanted those I had seen in a sticker collecting book that I owned (Firefly, Medley, the Rainbow ponies and so on...) but with finding so many nice ones on the local fleamarkets I soon dropped from that idea lol.
Today I own around 1000 colorful plastic ponies and I still need more of them <3

Ponies were always my favorite toys as a kid, and one day after they had stopped being made I was at my best friend's house, where her family was cleaning out their attic.  She had a ton of ponies and playsets in her room and we spent all day comparing her ponies to the ones I knew I had.  We decided to collect because we thought that our two collections together would be pretty sweet, and the rest is history.  :)

I've only been buying ponies for about four years, and have a pretty small group so far. I had a few treasured G1 ponies from childhood, but didn't really start buying toys again until Friendship is Magic came out. At first I thought I would just limit myself to G4, but have thrown the floodgates open and more G1 and G3 have entered my collection. The TAFs, especially Sugarberry, were what started me on G1 again as an adult. As for G3, I had a couple of neat finds at the thrift store, and I would love to collect more of the Comic-Con and other special ponies. I haven't bought a single pony since last summer or fall, but there are a lot that I am still interested in and I expect that my collection will keep growing!

I played with My Little Pony as a child, but I only owned two of them. I don't remember them being toys I was particularly interested in. I mean, I loved playing with them at friends' houses, but I didn't pick them when given the opportunity to select my own toys or make birthday gift wishlists.

I started collecting them in 2003 when G3 was released. I spotted one on the shelf at a Toys 'R Us and instantly went:

It coincided nicely with me being a teenager who had just gotten a job--I actually had spending money but very little in terms of obligations, so I started buying them. At first my family was like, "Haha, she's indulging in a funny little quirk," but then I was researching and tracking new releases. At that point I was a "collector." (I dabbled in older generations, but I really prefer buying a new pony in a store as opposed to online/garage sales/vintage shops/etc.)

I've had to pause how active I am at different times, depending on my financial situation (a lot has changed since 2003!), but I still really feel something about My Little Pony toys that I don't feel about other collectibles.

they were my favorite toy growing up in the 80s and i had lots of fond memory's of them and i can remember seeing the first lot to come out (the flat foots) and falling in love with them.
the collecting later on was sparked by all my fav 80s toys all being sold or given away by my brother when i left home.  so the want to see them again snow balled into becoming a full on collector :)
now im just a part time collector now as im very happy with my herd and now i can just squeeze them all into my cabinets  ^.^

That I've been a huge toy collector most of my life and fell in love with the current show, which then made me really appreciate the franchise as a whole, and now I have a full room of pony stuff.

Ponies were my favourite toy as a little girl but for many years I put them aside as I grew up...however some unknown and random kick of nostalgia made me decide to search out my childhood collection one day. Only to discover my mum had kindly given them away to a little girl who would appreciate them more. All of a sudden a curious "awww wouldnt it be nice to find those ponies" became "I MUST FIND THEM ALL...MWWWHAHAHAHAHAHAH". Goodness knows how long later, I am still here, still collecting and loving the hobby.

But now I have actually started collecting MLP G1. So what changed? Well, I think it might come down to one pony ... Fizzy.

Fizzy is a lovely pony to begin with! My sister's first pony was Fizzy. She had her second hand, on her third birthday, all wrapped up in paper and she was so excited because she had her own pony for the first time, instead of just playing with the handful I had.

Erm, going back to the question in hand.

I always had MLP growing up. I had my first pony (Windy) when I was 2 so I don't really remember not having them. We didn't have tons of money when I was growing up, so generally I got a pony either at Christmas or birthday, or occasionally if I saved up money for them or my grandparents decided to spoil me or something.

Pony buying was therefore a pretty significant event for me.

In the early days I was influenced a lot by my parents as to which ponies I had. You can tell, looking at them xD. My Mum chose Windy, Baby Blossom, and I think Cherries Jubilee. My Dad chose Masquerade, Snowflake and Shady xD. I think he also had a lot to do with me getting Tropical Breeze with my birthday money when I was 6, too.

As time went on I would pick a pony from each set that I wanted, since there wasn't really a chance to get all of them, but almost always the one I wanted from the set did not for some reason show up in the local stores here (bad distribution). I had a pony (Sunburst) when my sister was born, and another (Rainbow Magic) to cheer me up when my mother was in hospital. Pretty much ponies marked every significant event for me as a young kid.

I never totally stopped with the ponies, but I did put them away for a bit when I started secondary school. It really didn't last, though, and we began carbooting a while after that (1994?) when I discovered that MLP were no longer being sold in shops. My first carboot ponies were Lickety Split and Parasol. A school friend of mine also gave me her old ponies, which I had grown up playing with enough to think of them as my own, somehow. (Well, they sort of are now XD)

In 1997, I discovered the internet, and Dream Valley, and all the ponies I didn't have and hadn't heard of. When I found that, somewhere in the world, Medley, Powder and all the ponies that had been in the comic growing up really existed, I was so excited. I'd leave posts on the old pink TP but I had no email so could only leave my phone number.

Then, one day, an American collector actually phoned that number. We wound up trading a lot of ponies and I was lucky enough to meet her and her grandkids in the Summer of 1998. She has since, sadly, passed away, but I will never forget the memory of that day, and all these ponies that I had never seen before in real life. I still know which ponies they are in the collection.

My sister and I always collected together. Some ponies we both have, some she has, some I have. I like it better that way. It was something we did together.

I collect on and off these days, among many other interests and commitments. My passion was opening up the UK information to the global community, and it is still looking at the UK's history, the variations, the oddities and such like. I find the Nirvana really pretty, but I am not driven to try and get every one of them. Maybe one or two, if they are affordable. You said about it being such a demanding thing to collect - but I don't think so. You choose your niche and collect what makes you happy.

To date, my collection is missing only one mainstream pony - Baby Sugarcake - but there are still things I'd like to add to my collection, especially MIP things from my childhood on UK card.

I'm glad I collected as a child, and even more glad I had the opportunity of carbooting and collecting online in the late 1990s/early 2000s. I think it's a harder collectable to begin now, because of rarity - but also a nicer one, because the community is so global now, and it really wasn't back in 1998.

I hope that sort of answered the question O.o. I guess the summarised version is that I don't really know what life would be like without a pony somewhere in it, since they've always been there, one way or another. I graduated both times with Rainbow Dash (G3 and G4), so they literally have been involved in most every important event of my life :D

I wish I remembered.  I don't even know what my first pony was!  It was probably one of the g3 wave 1 ponies.  Either Kimono or Pinkie Pie.  I'm thinking it was Kimono.  It probably boiled down to me being 13 and in a toy store and seeing the ponies and thinking "oh hey those are pretty, I'll get one".  I've always liked collecting things and for whatever reason decided to give ponies a go.

Hahahaha that gif is perfect!

G3s have really grown on me. I used to not be interested when I found them at the thrift store but now I am appreciating their charm!

I didn't even have to own Fizzy to be inspired by her -- I actually just got Fizzy a couple weeks ago, and had been buying other pastel-ish ponies for some time. Anyway, that story about your little sister is the sweetest! Also, Taffeta, I really have appreciated reading your posts especially in the CP Sundance thread. That was all so fascinating!!!

Ponies were always my favorite toys as a kid, and one day after they had stopped being made I was at my best friend's house...

Hey!  That friend is me!  ;)   We started wanting to acquire more ponies in about what, Skeen, the 7th grade?  Tail end of 6th, maybe?  Anyway, Skeen had ponies I'd never even seen before!  We got started before the "Interwebs" was really part of the collecting world.  Heck, I REMEMBER when eBay got started.

So, part of the draw for me was that we always made new discoveries!  There wasn't a mlpwiki or anything like that.  I remember finding a Dance n Prance and not even being sure if it was a real MLP.  Same with a soda sipping pony (weird hole in mouth!) and Skeen bought our first dream beauty only because the eyes were the same as MLP.  We weren't sure what it was!  Part of me is a little bummed for new collectors as there are far fewer mysteries to uncover these days.  But, the upside is a huge community!

Hi grew up in the 1980's and like others getting a pony was a big deal!  I got my first pony the unicorn powder for my fifth birthday as I was a horse mad little girl.  I have about 12 original mlp gen 1's that I kept in storage until recently when my mum moved.  I have brought them home and my girls (3 and 2) are playing with them.  I've recently been buying some on eBay, I bought a couple of "bait" lots and have washed them up. Some are missing tails but they are still gorgeous.  I'm not sure if I will be a display collector as I love that the ponies give joy through playing, so at the moment my girls can play with them.

I'm currently searching for the gen 1 ponies I always wanted...plus I recently found out there's a pony gen 3 Starflight who shares a name with my first real horse so am trying hard to find her.

My girls have some new ponies, they don't quite hold the same excitement for me and tbh I'm not sure of their names lol

My first pony was from a friend of the family when I was about 5.  It was the March Daffodil birth pony.  I still have her, she's in horrid shape but I don't care!  Then my parents would surprise me occasionally with the mail order ponies, so I have several of the Mail Order versions of the ponies, like Pinwheel, Sprinkles and Confetti (Sprinkles and Confetti need replacing, they're in pretty bad shape as they were my favorite ponies.)

I got back into ponies when I saw a G3 Applejack on a shelf.  Applejack is my absolute favorite pony, I would love to own one, but I've never managed to get one.

Sadly I have had to sell most of my collection (a few I wish I hadn't, like the macaw G3 unicorn, I really miss that one.)

Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

I was a child in the 80's and ponies were some of my favorite toys.  Between my sister and myself, we had about 30-40 ponies.  I packed them away in my closet during my pre-teens and early teens.  Then about 96 or 97 (I was about 16-17) my mom started letting me come to her work during off hours to play on the Internet.  It was still such a new thing back then.  I discovered that there were people out there actively collecting mlp.  It re-sparked my interest and appealed to the treasure hunter in me.  I pulled out my old toys and started going to garage sales looking for ponies.  I've been collecting on and off ever since.

I only had 1 pony as a kid G2 berry bright and a bunch of fakies I didnt see berry very much cuz she was at my dads and I lived with my grandmother.  :( but I did collect unicorn figurines I had a ton (all gone now lost to my many moves) I didn't get interested in mlp till I saw a bunch of people on my WoW forum with Pony avis and sigs. curious I checked out FIM and loved it. Didn't buy any toys for a long time till my boyfriend at the time whom I was living with encouraged me to collect something as he collected action figures. I went and bought the first toys R us blind bag set as I didn't really want bush-able hair figures. That changed as soon as a I saw a rainbow dash I picked her up and fell I love soon I had to have all the characters that appeared on the show (I wish I had gotten everything cuz all the rare bushies were everywhere  :yikes:) Thats about when I joined the arena and even then I resisted other gens took me a while to come around but now I collect all gens! I love the arena for showing me all the pretty ponies

Honestly when i was a kid, my little pony used to scare me!  I never owned any ponies when i was younger and I would avoid them in toy stores..  For some reason i just couldn't deal with them haha.  Now they are just so pleasing to me and such fun colors and sweet faces.  I started collecting g4 funko mystery minis and blind bag figures last december because I loved the FIM show.  Then i started looking around the internet, saw the older gen ponies again and decided to take a look on ebay and see what i could find to see if i liked any of them.. and started collecting them over the past few months!  Idk why i was scared of them when i was younger because i think they are beautiful now and i'm so happy watching my collection grow!

Like many others have said, I grew up with ponies.  I always had them as a child, and they were my favorite.

When I was 12 and away for the summer my Mom threw them out!  I was devastated and didn't have another pony till G3 came out.  I started by those when I was 18 or 19.  Has up to 50 at one point (which was wrote a lot for me).  Then, due to some relationship upheaval, I ended up losing my entire collection.

Didn't start collecting again till G4, which took my awhile to even get into.  Love them now and have a decent collection of vinyls with a handful of brushable.

Anyhow, I love G4, but what I really always wanted was to have G1s again.  But I am like an archaic old woman when it comes to using the internet for buying things, and I really didn't get the concept of using eBay and such.

I ended up at my boyfriend's no longer lived in childhood home, looking through things left there, when we unearthed three flutters.  They were rather grungy and in need of help.  I managed to brave the webs and found some restore info, which ended up leading me here!

Now I'm 10 days in with 12 ponies on the way, and I'm completely hooked.

I wished to replace the ones I lost as a child, and I'm nearly there!  Now the list just keeps growing, so many beautiful ponies to acquire.

Friendship is Magic is what got me into ponies. About nine months or so after I first saw the show and about a month or two after watching Season two (at first, I thought it only had one season, so I watched it all and kind of forgot for a few months to focus on school).  I think I found out about the blind bag ponies either from Equestria Daily or an MLP Livejournal group that I was a part of a few years ago.

I was kind of reluctant to buy them at first, but I eventually caved because I have a real soft spot for cutesy girly things like this. It kind of doesn't make sense in retrospect considering at that point I had a small collection of Disney Princess storybooks and some little figures. But it was July 2012 or so that I got my first pony- a blind bag Twilight.

It kind of just went on from there.  At first I was restricting myself to only blind bags, but I gradually started buying more and more kinds of merchandise.  First I included brushables, then plushes, and then EqG and G3s. Every time I went through the same process (well, mostly with the brushables and EqGs).

1. Has no interest in toy
2. Sees a toy that I find cute
3. Reluctant/embarrassed to want the toy
4. Finally gives in and buys the toy
5. Embarrassed to have bought the toy
6. Gets over embarrassment, buys several more of the same kind of toy

It's ironic, I remember that when I started watching FiM, I told myself I wouldn't get any of the toys. Now I have to restrain myself from buying too many.

I am fairly new on the collecting circuit. I never really had ponies when I was little. My toy life pretty much revolved around my baby dollies and my Sindy collection - nothing much spectacular there guys, mostly 2nd hand and hand made clothes. I do still have my child hood Keyper, Diamond though... I do remember playing with my friends ponies and Lullabye Nursery which she gave me a year or 2 ago when she heard I was collecting ponies and her parents were clearing the house before they emigrated

One day about 4-5 years ago, I was mooching through Youtube and found a clip of MLP FiM Winter Wrap up episode.  I watched it out of curiosity and loved it and had to watch more and more and gradually got more into them. Then I was out shopping one day and saw a Twilight Sparkle and a Rainbow Dash toy and bought them thinking they were cute! Then I had to complete the 6, but couldn't find Pinkie, so I ended up getting the playset with Pinkie and Sweetiebelle.  I couldn't leave Sweetiebelle on her own, she HAD to have her 2 friends, so I got those too, along with Cheerilee. So I thought, well she's in the show so why not? Then I got other show characters.  Then I needed a princess of some kind to keep these ponies in order. About this time I joined the Arena and realised there were far more other G4 ponies who were not really in the show, so I started buying those.

Eventually my attention turned to G1 and G3 ponies.  My fella brought home a box full he found at a car boot sale saying that he knew I was collecting now, but these aren't the ones I collected but maybe some one on the Arena might want to buy them........these ponies are STILL in my collection  :P  I never sold them and now I have a collection of 850 ponies!!!

Ponies were my favourite toys as a child. I never got rid of my childhood herd (about 30), and in the early ebay days I started to have recurring dreams of them, so I looked them up on ebay and started to buy all those that my best friend used to have, and I had always wanted. :)

Back in 2007, I got a Minty from the McDonald's promotion, which led to me wanting to get all the ponies from that set. I started collecting Ponyville ponies soon after it ended. It took me longer to start collecting the full-sized ponies.

I came across my childhood ponies, went online to ID them...and discovered G3s were about to be released. The rest is history.

I got my first pony, SS Wind Whistler, for Easter the year I turned 2.  From then on, almost every picture of gift-giving times has me with a pony in hand (or packaged nearby).  In a sense, I collected since then.  Around hmmm... 4th grade? I packed most of my MLP away (and my mom got me to get rid of most of them... only kept about a dozen) in exchange for the more realistic horses like Grand Champions.  They followed me until about junior high, and then I got too involved in school to really play with anything at all.

Fast forward to college.  One of my friends and I were at Walmart and for some reason, she *really* wanted a Barbie doll, so we went to the toy aisles to look at them.  While we were discussing how silly it was that there were no cheap Barbies anymore, I happened to see five or six G3s sitting on the shelf.  I laughed and mentioned how much I used to love MLP and, feeling nostalgic (and a little justified, since she was after a Barbie to begin with), I carefully selected Sparkleworks II, since she looked like she was having fun.  We finished our shopping and went back to our dorm rooms.

My dorm was pretty old and hadn't had any renovations since the 70s, and our closet doors were these terrible metal, rusty orange things.  Long story short, the closet doors helped me discover that Sparkleworks II had a magnet in her foot.  Considering I used those doors as a bulletin board of sorts, I got a good chuckle out of how I could just use her as a magnet.  Next Walmart trip, I picked up Daisy Jo, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie so that they could be magnets, too.  And then the next trip, I picked up a few more.  And then Thanksgiving break came and I dug my remaining G1s out of storage.  From there, I sort of lost all control and the entire pony thing just sort of rained down on me, lol.

I got my first and only MLP  ^.^, ( but I also got 2 remcos  ;) ) for Xmas (my parents  ;) ) when I should be 7. It was Tickle, OMG!! the best pony ever!! Violet and Pegasus with rainbow hair WHAT A LOVELY COMBO!! My mother told me that they chose it because of all this
I really played a lot with her, and brought her everywhere (except school, too afraid to lose her  :P ) When I grew up and my parents get divorced, we moved and moved. Till we lived with the family of my father in law. As the house was a bit little, a part of our stuff was stored in the garage. I was a teenager at this moment. Few years later, my mom saw was the garage was cleaned!! no more stuff!! she asked where was the stuff and my father in law answered he throught to garbage all stuff
really several years after, in 2011 I am married, with a child and one day the idea came to me I wanted Tickle back  ^.^ so thanks the internet , I begun research and i discovered:

THE MY LITTLE PONY WORLD!!! OMG all these lovely ponies in front of my eyes!! and of course I found a new Tickle  ;) ;)

when I saw more ponies and felt in love specially with the French ones   and the Greeks  :lovey: :lovey: :lovey:

this is how all begun...

PS: I assume that : as I do not remember seeing them in the shops and just remember the package of Tickle at XMAS that's why I really really fell in love with pony in MOC or MIB condition  ;)

PS2: I also do assume that I really think My little pony is the real best toy which was created FOREVER!!!!  :P :P
