Title: Price Check for Rama Llama MIP- PHOTOS ADDED
Post by: Princess Sparkle on March 19, 2015, 11:16:42 PM: Hi everyone, I have Rama Llama still sealed in his original packet. Would anyone have any idea on how much he'd be worth? I'm going to sell him soon (or trade) so want to have idea of how much I should be asking. Thanks! :)

I haven't seen one for sale in AGES! I think it may go >$150 because of this...

Not only have I not seen one for sale (2013? Really?) I haven't heard of anyone bragging about finding one either.

If you sell/trade, Princess Sparkle, you'll certainly get top dollar...but it's one of those tricky situations where either you'll have a tough time finding it again in the future...or, suddenly we'll learn of a super-secret stash of MIP Rama Llamas found in someone's basement and the price will drop.

Pony collecting makes me think of "Tulip Mania" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tulip_mania#Volatility_in_flower_prices) in the 17th century & it's inevitable crash.

Ahh thank you so much everyone for your help and LittleSpiffy for your great GK on the topic I didn't think I'd seen one in a very long time. Honestly I've never been really in love with my Rama Llama, I only got him about 10 years ago to complete my G1 collection so I think I definitely will sell/ trade him. Here are my photos of him!

But apparently on at least on Canadian(?) brochure he was advertised as a MLP friend "who had come from a long ways away"--maybe trying to use up leftover stock?

Here's something weird, once I bought a mail order Pretty Parlor that had mint in bag accessories, meaning they were in the sealed baggies. No Peachy because she didn't come with the MO Pretty Parlor. Anyhoo--in addition to the accessories mint in their bag, there was also RAMA LAMA'S BRUSH in its own tiny sealed bag. It was soooo weird finding it there.

And yes he is definitely a big boy much bigger than any of the ponies. That's so interesting the person put it as a buy it now on evilbay, I wonder what it would have gone for auction style...

I'd say more like $225-250 because that's what I used to see, even with just one brush. I bought mine for $160ish ?a year and a half? ago, during what I considered a low in the llama market.

For size, here's an old photo with North Star. I absolutely adore this llama :heart:

Thanks Mul-Ta for the PC I agree he's probably worth more around that 250 mark being MIP and all, and thanks for adding a photo of him with a pony it definitely helps to show how big he is! :lol:
