Hi, I bought a couple of used LPS figures. Can you please tell me how can I distinguish fakes? Some of them have numbers, some just have "Hasbro" and year in its mold, but have no numbers.
This kitty looks really odd, because his painting job is quite awful [his eyes aren't shiny] and it doesn't have even "LPS" print. It has only "(c) 2006 Hasbro China" molded on its bottom. What is weird, it has a neodymium in paw! I heard that fakes don't have a magnet, just a hole... and its head, um, goes "up and down" [it's not still] :P

Please help, because I don't know if I should ask for refund... Thanks!

That is totally legit LPS
Some of the more rare animals have numbers and some of them don't. But I believe that they should all say Hasbro.
Some of the paint jobs are very poorly done

I also think its totally legit!

I remember getting this pet from a Target exclusive pack in about 2005 maybe so it is real.

LOL you mean "bobble head"

On the topic of magnets, they did stop adding them at one point so most of the newer pets don't have any.
Yours looks like an older pet, especially with the softer airbrushed markings (which might be what's giving the impression that it looks poorly-painted).
