I'm not sure. I've never seen her before. The girl selling her said they are childhood ponies and she isn't a collector. Is it a possibility she is a fake? I hope not as I've just made a hefty offer!

I think it's real. The girl is located in Italy, and looking at the eyes and symbol it look legit to me. I'll ask the girl if she can publish some extra photos of the hoofs and detail pics of the mane and tail.

Price-wise, there is no baseline for a pony like this, so we just have to see what people are willing to spend.

Absolutely stunning and so completely unexpected to see a pony from a country we think we know pretty well all ready. Amazing!

She is Beautiful in that pose and Italy seems to hold a surprise for us from time to time. There have been some special Gems from there for sure.

If you remember any stories of how you got her and would want to share I know I would love to read. I purchased a lot of MLP from an Italian seller who mentioned his kids' stuff came from an acquaintance who worked at the factory. Like do you remember getting firefly as a present in a box or on a bubble card?

I got her! She came in yesterday. I thought from her original photos that she had lickety splits body but it turns out that she has her own unique color. She is a flat purple. I just love her to bits!! Her tail still has her original curl!!! She has Princess Sparkle's color scheme. So maybe we call her Fire Sparkle. Hehe
I made a necklace for her from a pearl that i bought in Italy when i was 19!
So i made her a little barrette to match.

Congratulations! She's gorgeous! I love how she's peeking out of the bubble wrap in the first pic :)
It's really interesting to know that she has a different body color than Lickety Split. I've been thinking about her ever since I saw her posted on Facebook. I'm dying to know her origins (factory one-off or whatnot).

What I do now I do for all of us out there who wished toy Megan could ride firefly instead of sundance.. I believe she is the first nirvana firefly without wings.
Someone should teach Megan how to ride.. Heels in - not out! lol

Sorry for late - I have an intense week, and I can't write first.
I know that you are waiting for this magic Firefly story!
I remember that I buy her to a toy shop in Padua, Italy - "Guarnieri giocattoli".
Guarnieri was a promised land for me and my brother. It was not near home, but was the only toy shop in my city where I can find ponies - an a big choice of Playmobil, the love of my brother ^.^
She was in a blister, not in box. I was little, maybe 10-11 year old, in 1986-1987.
I think that day there are only earth pony in the shop - because I remember I desired a pony with wings. I didn't know that original Firefly have wings, and I choose a earth Firefly: is not strange? :biggrin:
I don't remember If I bought her only, or I bought my first baby pony too, a beddy-bye eyes Baby Heart Throb.
I play a lot with my Firefly. My passion was baby ponies, and I bought lots of them after, and she was the mother of all :cool:
I go with her everywere, she see italian sea... too hard leave her at home when I go for holydays!
I can see her in my memories, in the grass of my garden...
I bought later a princess Royal Blue later, but Firefly hate her :P she think that Princess was too much vain!
And when I became a women she rest in a box in garage... since now!
It was sad selling my ponies, was many years that I think about this and I can't find courage.
After this Christmas I realize that was the right moment. I need to leave the past, I need space and I need money, because we want a baby.
The most incredible thing is that the day before putting ponies for sale, I ask to my grandmother (die some years ago) an help for money, to realize this baby's dream.
The day after I putting ponies for sale. But I can't imagine that the help come from this! Was incredible, and amazing days, like a movie! ;)
