Title: Let's talk perfumes!
Post by: roselalonde on December 22, 2014, 11:36:38 PM
Seeing as though I have several toy collections, it only makes sense that I collect other things. I love makeup and perfume and I especially love designer perfumes! What do you guys like? Do you collect perfumes or just have a few staples? I have quite a few different ones, but they are mainly rollerballs.

Do you guys have signature scents? I would say Daisy Eau so Fresh is mine overall, as well as Princess by Vera Wang when I want to switch things up.

I love opium, it smells nice on me whilst most others can't wear it. Also love poison (original green box) but i can't wear it, love the smell of it on others though.

I'd like to find something else i like as opium is ridiculously priced most of the time and i can't justify spending so much on a bottle of spray.

I  LOVE  perfume! The favorite tends to change every few years after its either become discontinued, or I discover a new one. Right now I mostly wear "Fancy" by Jessica Simpson. The other few in my current rotation are "Taj Sunset" by Escada, "BOSS Orange" (the women's version) by Hugo Boss, and "Chanel no 5 Sensual Elixir." I'm always looking for something new and good. I tend to like fruity scents best, and I like some floral scents as long as there's no rose smell to it.

Until recently, I also wore "Daisy" by Marc Jacobs and "Lovely" by Sarah Jessica Parker.

I love perfume too, but I'm still on the lookout for a "signature scent" among the pricier brands, but until I find one I'd be willing (and able!) to splurge on I wear So Elixir by Yves Rocher as my daily perfume.

I love perfumes and change scent after season. My winter one on my days off are Pure Poison by Dior. At work it's Christina Aguileras Secret Potion which I'm running out of and by the looks of it, it's discontinued so I have to find something else. At summer I usually wear Ecscadas Taj Sunset but I ran out this summer and it's not available anymore so I gave Victor and Rolfs Flowerbomb a chance and I really like it. I also have Escadas Cherry in the air which I lovelovelove! I bought several bottles just to have for a couple of years.

I mainly save perfume for special occasions as my daily Bath and Body Works lotions, body washes, and sprays give enough scent in the morning.  If I need a boost of scent, I will usually choose a perfume.  The ones I currently have are Davidoff Cool Water for women, Victoria Secret Heavenly, and Victoria Secret Bombshell.  I also have a body spray that I use as a "perfume" since it is from Victoria Secret called Victoria.  I really want to add Victoria Secret Bombshells in Bloom to my "collection" but haven't found it on sale yet.

I am really just trying to use up the Cool Water as it is not my favorite anymore; it was my signature scent in high school.  Now I consider Bombshell my signature even though right now that will be my summer scent.  My winter scent is Heavenly.

My favorite perfume was Estee Lauder Delight but they discontinued it several months ago. Delight worked really well for me. I recently got Lancôme's La Vie Est Belle perfume that I'm going to try.

I'll wear anything that smells like oranges or coconut+pineapple. I'm not one for fancy scents, just gotta smell fruity all the time...

I love perfumes

I wear Shalimar by Guerlain in the winter, Un Jardin Apres La Mousson by Hermes in the summer, and Flower Tag by Kenzo (limited edition, and will likely switch to Chanel No. 19 when it runs out) in the fall and spring.  For special occasions, I wear Flowerbomb by Victor and Rolf.

I just added La Vie Est Belle to my Christmas wishlist, to me it's like a more grown-up version of Princess.

I know what you mean about price! I only have two full sized bottles of perfume in my collection, but rollerballs or spray pens are a nice alternative to the full sized versions. A lot of my rollerballs have lasted me a very long time too, so I think it's a good investment, and most are only around $20.

I love to wear perfume. I have quite a few expensive ones that I like to wear. My all time favourite is Dior Hypnotic Poison, followed by Viva la Juicy Gold. I also like to occasionally switch it up and wear Givenchy Play or Calvin Klein Euphoria. When it comes to wallet friendly scents, I like Aeropostale Hailey and Britney Spears Fantasy.

I typically use body mists instead of perfume^^  I like the light fresh or sweet scents.  My standard is usually sweetpea, cherry blossom or vanilla sugar but ill have a few others at any one time.

Right now I really love wearing Gwen Stefani Harajuku lover's "G" perfume.  It's coconutty and light and I love it.  But I usually only wear perfume for date nights or other special occasions.

Usually I'm a scented lotion gal.  Right now since it's the holidays I'm wearing Bath & Body Works' Winter Candy Apple.  I get it every Christmas season.  But then during the rest of the year I switch between Beautiful Day and Pure Paradise.

G is one of my all time favorites!

I wear perfume every day and stick to the sweet smelling ones :) Taylor swift Enchanted Wonderstruck is something I wore for over a year but now I'm in love with Katy Perry Killer Queen. With my job, I get to smell all the perfumes whenever I want so I get really excited when something new comes in ^.^

I love the potions end of "lotions and potions! OMG D:
Most of my fragrances are from Crabtree & Evelyn or L'Occitane though. I love their Iris and Himalayan Blue and Wisteria.  I'm such a massive sucker for fragrances with sandalwood notes.   You know you've worked in lotions and potions too long when you find yourself gushing about the heart notes and other layers of the fragrance.
L'Occitane has a verbena and cucumber fragrance that I recently fell entirely in love with.  It's so green and fresh with the crispness of the cucumber to mellow out the zesty verbena elements. <3

I'm kind of peculiar about perfumes.  I like 'clean' scents more than floral, but I do like an herbally smell.  I use Destiny by Tokyomilk, which smells like ginger and jasmine.  It's really lovely and unique to me.

I also really like the smell of my favorite lotion.  Ahava has a really wonderful scent that makes me occasionally sniff myself like a weirdo.

I too have a perfume addiction. My favourites in my collection are: Benefit Ring My Bella, Marc Jacobs Lola, and a cheapie Rihanna perfume someone gave me for free. I'm getting Marc Jacobs Dot on January 10th (my birthday) as it was on offer from £49.50 for 50ml, to £30.00, so mum bought it for me!!

Dot is one of my favorites as well, but I have to apply it lightly. Oddly enough as a perfume lover I need to be careful about what scents I pick out or else I get queasy. Really heavy sweet scents usually set me over the edge, as well as other super powerful perfumes.

I'm a sucker for perfumes too, which is really bad for my wallet and I rarely use them up.

My signature is Cacharel Noa, that one I run out off and buy new ones fairly regularly. I have spring/summer scents, usually lighter smells like Escada Ocean Lounge or Taj Sunset. For autumn/winter I wear heavier scents such as Guerlain Insolence EdT (the pink version) and Noa I wear all year round.

I also have Benefit "Laugh with me LeeLee" but I completely missed the tones of melon the first few times I tried it and now I'm not even sure if I like it...

A part from those I have several mists as well, The Body Shop Shea mist, Victoria's Secret Frozen Cassis and Sheer Love.

I have too many

I'm allergic, perfumes give me migraines so bad I start seeing flashes of light in my vision, and after prolonged exposure my throat can close so... yah. Usually caused by the purely chemical type perfumes. The naturals aren't as bad... but... yah. I think I can tolerate natural vanilla and lilac and that's about it.  I mean, some of them smell nice enough but I'd rather not die LOL.

Just tested some new perfumes at local store ^^ My new love is Tommy Hilfigers Pear blossom, I also love the little ribbon on it and love that sweet scent.

I have few favorites but I got hooked on perfumes last summer so there's still much to learn. :)

First ever perfume I felt in love was Viktor & Rolfs Bonbon and can't wait to get it, it's just quite expensive and ponies are always first in my budjet.

Few others that I like are:
Tommy Hilfiger: Pear Blossom
Escada: summer editions Taj Sunset and this new Turquoise Summer
Marc Jacobs: Dot

Also have so many that i would love to try but are not available or I just haven't found them here.

I also use GArmani Diamonds at the moment, in the spare room is Vera Wang Princess, Dior Addict (still haven't gotten through this one) that apple shaped one can't remember who even makes it still on my first bottle. Some friends bought me Scarlet Johannsens fragrance like 4 yrs ago but it gives me a headache :P

My mom hates perfumes. Anytime she's out in public and someone has perfume on she gets really stressed out, because it gives her headaches.

Needless to say, perfume never became a thing for me... Even though I like some of them. Once I was out with friends and we went to Victoria's Secret and they bought me a kind... I think it was "Love Spell"? I loved the smell of it, but because of my mom I can't wear the stuff.

There's also a chance that they could give me headaches, too... My mom and I are very alike.

DKNY Red Delicious is my signature scent. But it's been discontinued  So I have to find a new signature...
I really like DKNY Pink Delicious, Britney Spears Circus Fantasy and Gwen Stefani "G" so I might make one of those my new signature when my last bottle of Red runs out

I can't wear most perfume, it makes me itch like nobodies business.

HOWEVER,

I've found the stuff at Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab is perfect.  I really urge those who have issues to check them out. :)

The two from them that I'm usually wearing are Smokestack and The Antikythera Mechanism.

I can't wear heavy perfumes or deodorants especially, but one brand that has DELICIOUS scents and doesn't affect my asthma is Choose Chi Chi eau de parfum, so I usually smell like peaches and mangoes, roses, and other sweet delightful things!
But I do recommend this to those than are sensitive like myself, and those that like to hear "oh my god you smell delicious!"

Marc Jacobs Dot- I received it a couple years ago for Christmas and love it.

I guess I would be considered a big fan of Juicy Couture seeing as I own the following. . .
Juicy Couture Viva la Juicy- I purchased for my self
Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy La Fleur- I purchased for my self and also redeemed a sephora sent certificate for a bottle
Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Noir- I purchased for myself this Christmas
I would LOVE to get my hands on Juicy Couture Gold

Ralph Lauren cool- (pink bottle ) I have had this one for a while not sure if they still make it, but its such a "cool" crisp , clean and refreshing scent
Estee Lauder Modern Muse- I received not last Christmas, but the one before. I like the bow on the bottle lol
Victorias secret love spell- I have been wearing this since it first made its apperance on the shelf lol

I also like Prada Candy,Gucci Flora (mandarin), Wold love Juicy Gold, there's a Taylor Swift my mom wears that I like and a DKNY be delicious that she wears (I think it's the pink).

As far as scents go for men, (The ones I remember anyways) . . . I have found that I like the smell of are Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gio ,Clinique Happy for Men, and joop cologne (like a pinkish purple), There was also one by Usher that I thought smelled nice and probably a hand full of others I don't remember the name or brand.

Also Puma did have some awesome perfume. Everybody always complimented it when I was wearing it but I'm not sure if they produce it anymore. It was urban motion for her (red bottle).
