When I am tired enough I can fall asleep but its a comfort to cuddle with my plush. I find it so relaxing and stress relieving to end my long day with holding my stuffed animal in my arms and petting her while I go to sleep. I know this is weird to some people but its what makes my nights not feel so lonely. I live in an apartment and I am single. I don't have enough money to make a pet deposit or pay for vet bills. It would be very lonely if I did not have her. I love my Rosetta.
Am I the only one or is there more here who do the same thing?

I sleep with stuffed animals :) I find it more comfortable to sleep with my arms around something. I've tried pillows but it's not nearly as nice as using a stuffed animal.

I sleep with two stuffed animals, even though I have my fiance. :lol:
One of them is an Ampharos plush that I got a few years back, and the other is a small lion that my fiance gave me as a Christmas gift when we first started dating. It means a lot to me because it's the stuffed animal he slept with as a child, and his reason for giving it to me was that he figured it'd be a lot more loved in my arms than sitting in his closet. It'll always be one of my favorite gifts. :blush:

I have a huge crocodile plush that I cuddle with at night. It definitely makes me feel better to have it.

I've always, always slept with soft toys. Most of them are fairly small, perhaps Beanie Kid sized- they fit in nicely under my arm as I curl up to go to sleep. I generally cycle through them every month or so as the mood takes me, but there are some that stick around as snugglebuddies longer than others. Right now, I'm quite fond of this Luna; she's huge, and so soft!

I also have the Fluttershy nightlight plushie. She's quite comforting.

I've slept with a floppy dog plush almost as long as I am tall since I was little. It started because my hips hurt if my knees are touching. Years later, I still love Doggy. He gets extra polyester stuffing once in a while because of how old he is now. My partner thinks its normal. :shrug:

I still sleep with stuffed animals and feel weird if I don't. I always have the same four plushies in bed with me. A BAB Thylacine, another Thylacine plushie from Australia, an African Wild Dog, and a tiger.
The Thylacine and tiger have special significance. I had a thylacine plushie that got left on an airplane on my way to college and after frantically calling around to try and find it ultimately it was lost. A week later I got a package and inside was the exact same thylacine plushie. My mom ordered a new plushie for me and kept the order a secret.
The tiger was also an act of kindness. My friend and I were scheduled to go to the zoo together but I was in so much pain I couldn't go and ended up stuck in bed (a cyst burst.) I told her to go without me and she came back with the tiger plushie for me.

I have slept with a stuffed tiger for years, I lost my childhood care bear in a flood and the tiger replaced her. I still slept with my tiger when I stayed with my ex, she didn't care. I think its more normal than we realize, just a lot of people find it embarassing and won't admit to it.
I also have one of those giant pillow pets, its a rainbow unicorn called gertrude, a couple of my friends brought her for me from the kids for Christmas a few years ago. Gertrude comes with me when I go anywhere, all my friends think im bonkers if I sleep over and bring a giant rainbow unicorn pillow with me but they all know me well enough to know this is my normal :)

I still sleep with teddy bears. I have always been attached to them since I was young. I still have my favorite teddy bear from when I was little. He is an old Yogi Bear plush that I named Hoagie for some reason. I don't do it as much as I used to simply because my husband and 9 times out of 10 my 2 year old are in the bed with me so it doesn't leave a lot of room for anything else. But any chance I get.....when my daughter is sleeping in her room....I grab one of my bears. It is a very comfortable feeling. I guess it isn't for everybody but you are definitely not alone. :)

I'm actually kind of glad this thread got started, because now I don't feel like such a crazy person :yikes:
I still sleep with my Teddy Beddy Bear blanket puppets. I've had them both practically my whole 29 years of existence (I believe I was either 1 year old or between birth and 1 year when I got the first), and I pack them whenever I travel, too...they are still such a comfort to me.

I love plushies! I love to hug and snuggle them, I cuddle my pillows... my brother still sleeps with his baby blanket. He's had more and more material added as he grew. I keep mine safe, but nuzzle it sometimes.

My partner and I have a bed full of plushie pals! There's no shame in it. They're cuddly and soft, and it makes the bed seem like a little nest. I can't sleep without at least my elephant Norton, so I'll even pack him to go on trips.

Well brushy my unicorn that I've had since I was like five sleeps in the bedroom but not in the bed. I do have a body pillow I lay all over but usually my wife or pets are for the cuddlings. If I didn't have them maybe a stuffed critter. Hmmmm I'm not sure if I would or not.

When I'm single I sleep with stuffed animals. I love to hug something at night...

No. I overheat as it is and I tend to hold onto my pillow sideways.
I do have a few plushies at the foot of the bed though :)

I still sleep with my plushies too ^.^ I sometimes use larger ones as pillows. I could sleep without them, but having them with me makes me feel like I'm really at home, if that makes sense.

I get cuddles from my dog every night or when I'm in bed ill. I'm not sure how well he'd take to a plushie. Would probably end in disaster so all my cuddly toys are safely out of reach.

I've slept with the same plushie - a black labrador named Blackbell, or Blackie - for years now.. since I was around 6 or so. I can't sleep without her.
I don't think sleeping with plushies is 'weird' at all ^^

Almost always! I have trouble sleeping without one of my favorites, since I like to snuggle something. Even if one of them still has the hard plastic tag attached to his head...

I have a huge tiger puppet that I cuddle with, and several that sit on my pillow and at the end of the bed.

I always feel bad about plushies in the bed because their fur gets messed up. But ever since my kitty passed away, I have a little bear I keep on the pillow next to me when my husband is away.

I was like that before I got married. I would cuddle with my stuffed horse that I have had since I was 9. I am now 26. He still lives on my bed when I am not in it and sleeps next to me on my night stand. On nights that my husband gets home late or doesn't come to bed with me, I cuddle with my horse.

I sleep with a blanky. It has a satin border and i rub it to put myself to sleep. I can't sleep with stuffed animals because several of my cats are gnaw-ers.

It's not that I can't sleep without cuddling a thing, I just really like to most of the time! Unless I'm very warm, it's nice to hold onto something. Whether you need to or just like to, there's nothing strange about it!
Currently I sleep cuddling this sweet baby night fury (from BaB) named Jet c: He's great because he's the perfect size for hugs, and not so fluffy I get too warm.

There are also about 30 other plushies stacked up along the side of my bed. I love having a double bed.
Other good cuddlers include a pink bunny, a Charmander, a smaller green dragon and, when I'm visiting home, a wolf. Home is a lot colder than here so a warm fluffy wolf is nice!

I can't. I tried when I was younger, but I always felt like they were watching me and would end up kicking them off the bed at some point.

I cuddle my Squishable raccoon and 4DE Twilight Sparkle! The Squishable is a bit large but can sometimes be a pillow, so more often than not I cuddle Twilight in my arms. I wish I could cuddle my BaB Toothless, but the still fabric of his claws is too sharp!

I sleep with lots of soft toys in my bed. I don't always cuddle one when I go to sleep but I often do. Sometimes I cuddle two or more :P

Aha yeah, I thought the edges of the... head frilly things and tail fins were a little sharp at first. But with MUCH hugging, they seem to have softened up a little bit! Much hugging and a little sandpapering.
Much hugging also made the scale pattern on the fabric a bit faint, though. You may have to sacrifice mintyness for huggability, but I think it was totally worth it!

I have my very worn out stuffed rabbit Sleepy Rabbit (SovKanin) on my bedside table, I´ve slept with him since my first birthday and he´s now 35 y old, so he´s falling to pieces.
Before I met my wife I had my plushie dog named Uncas the Dalmatian with me in bed. Now my daughter sleeps with him, he keeps her safe at night. He used to be the best to rest my head upon while Reading at night though...maybe I should bring him back...

Thats interesting. Thats how I fell in love with mine. I was bullied so harshly in school that I often wondered if stuffed animals had the ability to think if they would agree that I was a freak.
Then when I got into MLP I noticed how Minty was treated by Pinkie pie and I fell in love with her character. I figured that if Minty could be accepted than so could I. MLP was and still is my escape from the jerks in this world. So my plush is a 25th anniversary Pinkie pie. I renamed her Rosetta though. Her personality does not fit the G3 or G4.

I have had one constant sleeping companion from age 3 and up. I remember picking her out at Kohls a loooooooong time ago. I have spent years hoping and pining to find another like her that wasn't so worn. About 3 years ago my BFF found a knock off of her for me. It's a stuffed Scottish Terrier. I caught Sarge on the bed one day sleeping with her. No kidding, he did that on his own!
My husband thinks it is a bit childish that I still sleep with a stuffed animal, but it's genetically ingrained that I have it. If there's a natural disaster she's the first thing I grab. No kidding, I am that attached.
I am also not ashamed to show you a pic (after you get my whole life story there).
My original one is on the right. Smooshed after years of hugs, tears and being thrown against the wall in rage. The one on the left is exactly like her except not as loved, the only difference is the tag.

My queen sized bed does not have enough room for Mr. Stomper, me and plushies. I do, however, sleep with Old Lumpy. It's an old pillow (and lumpy, hence the name) that I hold under my arm as I sleep. So I have two pillows.
My plushes tend to reside in other parts of the bedroom or house, though.

I sleep with a plushie I've had since I was two. Before I lived with my (now) fiancée, I used to sleep with a pillow up against my back so I could feel like someone was sleeping next to me.

Not a stuffy but my baby blanket that was gifted to me when I was born. is it just me or do theses objects have a special smell. That is unique to you?

I have sooo many plushies in my bed! Sometimes it feels like there's hardly room for me :P. Since my bed is twin sized there isn't a ton of room anyway, but I make due! My favorite is a penguin very creatively named Pengie from when I was like five, but there are lots of others that I love, too. Like a knitted doll named Fabio that I was given when I was about to go into surgery to get my appendix removed. He is very special to me. There is also a Pinkie Pie that I love (it's the ragdoll style one from the 25th anniversary). And I collect plushies of anime characters and also Alpacassos so there are a bunch of those, too. I think I will always sleep with at least a couple of plushies because I can't really imagine not sleeping with them in the bed. I can sleep without them, but I vastly prefer having at least one.

I just have a little beaded squishy pillow that I put under my arm. I have most of my childhood plushies, including "the" plushie but I'm such a wild sleeper that if I had them in my bed they'd end up on the floor... and then I'd feel bad :P
Instead they all live in a pet net I put up in the corner of my room ^^;

I love the smell of mine when I am away from my home. It makes things easier when I have to be away. Even though it has not been a year yet since I moved in I still get home sick of my new home town. My Church is awesome and so are my neighbors. Church friends are cool with it when we go places for overnight stay. Ok; I will admit it I have a pink little side. I have a passion for cartoons and toys.
Oh and here is my bed. It is a futon. Pinkie pie who is the 25th anniversary jumbo plush is the one I will sleep with. She is on the right side. I love her so much.

I sleep alone in a double bed, then I fill of plush, I sleep hugging a huge pencil, almost my size, call me childish, but do not care, I'd rather have several plush than sleep so I feel lonely if they do not have something of my childhood with me at any time,
