Title: Old Exclusives Coming Back?
Post by: Lady Starflower on October 22, 2014, 06:21:05 PM: So I was out shopping the other day and I decided to check out the ponies, see if anything is new and to my surprise the old exclusives have been stocked. I don't think Canada ever got these ones in before so I guess they are showing up now...years later lol

I was quite surprised. Anyone hear of this before?

Side note: if anyone missed them I will gladly grab them for you :)

Post by: ashlyne on October 23, 2014, 07:43:33 AM: This has happened during the G3 generation. It seems to be a Canadian thing, to get stock of US exclusives a couple years later to sell in their stores. It happened with a set of G3 winter exclusives.

Nah, it probably has something to do with an agreement the stores made with Hasbro, having exclusivity for a certain period of time before releasing them to other areas :)

As ashlyne said because its North America it was probably a restriction by Target and Hasbro that they could only be sold by other stores after a set period :)

I know, seriously.

I actually missed all of those releases (if anyone on this forum doesn't know yet, there's noooo Target in my town. *cries*), but no monies means no ponies for me right now.

Maybe somewhere, at the back of some tiny, old toyshop there are still some MOC G1 ponies... like Mimic. :P
