Title: What is this candle?
Post by: Dainty on October 15, 2014, 03:14:13 PM: Hi ponies! I found this candle today. It looks like peachy and I think it's holding a flower in it's mouth...
Any idea what it is? The pic brought out all the flaws etc but it's actually very well made. I thought maybe someone used a mlp figure to make a mold for a candle but I don't know what figure that'd be? It doesn't look like any of the porcelain ponies.
It's smaller than the actual ponies.

Post by: Lancer on October 15, 2014, 04:02:44 PM: It looks like one of those figurines from the "Paint Your Own Pony" sets. I'm not sure if they also came with moulds to make the ponies yourself or if the statues came ready to paint but, if it's the former, I suppose it would be quite easy to make a candle from the same mould.

If there is such a set I might have to hunt it down, I loved those sets when I was a kid! :joy: Had molds for a baby horse, some dinosaurs and Disney Hunchback of Notre Dame figures.

Haha, well, I do have an actual chocolate mold:

and hardly anyone seems to know these existed, so maybe that candle was made with some rare G1 mold as well. The pose looks like a big version of the the Mommy charms
