so, who else has seen funny things like this? (hope it's okay to post the picture)
-
I'm sure I've seen a few, but of course I never thought to screenshot them. From now on I'll have to remember to do that when I run into a funny listing.
-
There was the one where a Teeny tiny was listed with some other ponies, and the description said that "one is a cat". That was a good one.

I'm pretty sure I saw that one :P

I think I remember that!
Remember the $100 Bubbles? That was about a month ago. This lady made a deal with herself that she would sell her pony collection in 10 years, but Bubbles was her favorite and she didn't really want to let go of it. All of her descriptions for other ponies were hilarious. She had a great metaphor while describing So Softs that might not be Arena-appropriate... but needless to say, I was in stitches!
I ended up buying her Crunchberry.

I remember that, but I can't find the listing now. I wonder what happened to Bubbles..

The My Little Pony dog tooth and the $1 million rare Sundance - probably still winners for me.
-
Haha I love these. I saw an auction for Pimkie Pai once. Took me a while to stop laughing.
-
it was a listing for Peachy for $3000 :haha: as it was a ''rare hong kong version' :haha: :lmao:
-
Oh I forgot all about the dog tooth! :lmao:

One IS a cat.
I loved that.

I remember that listing! I actually bid on her, and was in touch with the seller explaining what she had. She was very nice. :)

If that was earlier this year, I think I may have checked it out. Either Sweet Lily or Daisy Sweet, I think.

The shipping better be fast and safe if it's gonna cost that much!

This is priceless! Can someone maybe explain what the MLP "Dog Tooth" was?

I saw later they fixed it to say what the pony was, I was glad someone helped them. I wanted to, but was worried I'd look weird messaging them out of no where aha. Still, I loved the original listening wording.

Someone tried to sell a do tooth on ebay that looked like a my little pony...3 worrying things about this
1) It did look like a MLP
2) It actually did sell
3) How the heck did the dog loose the tooth!
-
That story would have been perfect for the 'pony horror stories' panel at Ponycon! Great thread by the way. Can't wait to screen shot my favs. Guessing we have to wait till the auction is over to post? Some awful BINs around that never seem to die like that cherries jubilee with flashprance on backwards...

Elderly dogs often lose their teeth as they get older. My senior dog is actually missing a few, but we've never found them in the house. The ones that weren't pulled by the vet were probably accidentally swallowed. It's actually really common. :)
If I recall correctly, the tooth still had chunks of fleshy blood on it, didn't it? It was super gross. xD
-
Not too long ago I found a Mimic for almost $1000.
I know she's rare, but good lord, not that rare!

:) But you dont pick up the teeth and go "huh...its a pony"... :P I have had many dogs and yes some have lost teeth - very seldom have I ever found said teeth again. It always made me wonder what the odds were on 1) finding the tooth and 2) it actually being in the shape of a MLP :P
-
There was a snuzzle up recently that I tried to buy
"My little pony snuzzle collectors version *confused and dirty!!*"
-
Someone trying to sell a big G3 Pinkie Plush for a really silly amount of money because 'it was seen in Transformers!' and trying to claim it was the one used in the movie

Eep could this be an animal protection issue?!

These are funny. I almost spit out my drink never read this thread and try to eat. XD :haha:

The one that comes to my mind was the lady selling her collection for a fortune. She had an "ultra rare" G1 Applejack up for hundreds of dollars (I think it started around $700). In the description it said that they needed to send all their kids to Christian private school, so please bid generously. They were all up for months and months, and it made me lol a little.
-
The times when the haunted ponies were still listed were quite hilarious. I want to believe particularly that it was a common G1 earth pony that was listed once as haunted and it would change places in the house and fall over randomly?
-
I'll never forget it. It was a Mexican pony listed as mint condition... missing its head :P

Mexican ghost pony perhaps?? :O
-
Cat already mentioned the $1m Sundance but just had to mention her again! She was that rare because her date was printed as 1983 but she was released in 1984 LOL
-
Haha I'm quite amused to see you picked on my eBay listings, it has that title because I used similar listings to list quickly and then I forget to change the title. But pony bride has sold now ;)

Glad you're a good sport! I think some people on here see ALL the pony listings so there is nowhere to hide

This thread makes me wish I had screenshot some of my favorite funny listings :)
-
There was a "rare" lemon drop that was on there for ages on a buy it now of £50, it had a green tail which is why it was rare :-D I wonder what happened to her?!

I remember seeing a fakie listing with a shirtless man standing right behind it, and also a listing for a pony with a cat licking itself in the background. Talk about photobombing :P
-
Does anyone remember the teeny tiny twins listing from like 2 or 3 years ago that had a 1 million dollar BIN? omg lol.

I saved that photo with the hairy man somewhere. Sent it to my friends too. I never saw the cat one though.

I was just going to mention the shirtless man. I have the image saved on my computer at home too, but I wish I had grabbed the actual screenshot of the auction!!
