Tiny sized decorations are always useful for making pics fun.

I like outdoor pics; ponies in the wild so to speak. Natural lighting is wonderful!

Bumping this for you...there are loads of members here who will have lots of picas and ideas to inspire you :) I don't really photograph my ponies so I can't help.

I love taking pony (and action figure) pictures outside. Only problem is that this time of the year daylight is coming less and less each day in Finland, so it cuts down my opportunities to do that.
Usually, when I take toy pictures outside, I already have an (rough) idea for the picture I want to take and I usually take pics that are scenes, meaning there is something happening in them (not always, but mostly).
I recently got my first DSRL and every time I go outside taking some random pics with it, I usually take one or more ponies with me in case I get some sudden idea(s) for a pony pic(s) or if I just wanna take some random pics with them.

I will admit to being a little boring on my photographs. However I think the idea of taking a pony out and about with you is a great idea! I cant wait to see some of your results.

- Find an unique point of view and angle, get down to the level of pony face
- Interesting scenery, outside photos are better most of the time, ponies go well with nature: flowers, trees etc
- Good lighting (so outside and good weather)
- Setting up scenes of ponies doing something is good too
- ponies "assisting" you in some of your activities, the activity might be more interesting than the pony itself, but you end up with a pony photo
- windy days are good, wind spreads pony hair making it look live and natural
