Recently i ordered 1 pony from Etsy, took her 7 days to reply my email/msges on whether/when the pony will be ship out. Her reply wasnt that friendly either ( its was shipped sat. today is 9/16/14. thanks , ) then today she email me telling me my shipping was short of $3.Hmm..so i am wondering whether has she really ship out my pony? I dun mind paying the extra but she doesnt seem trustworthy. What shld i do? Dun tink her shipping have any tracking too

honestly. if she miscalculated the shipping cost when she listed the item... that's on her.
i've taken quite a few hits on ebay and etsy sales, cuz i didn't take the time to make sure i knew exactly what shipping is.
if you already paid... yeah. no. i wouldn't send more.

thank you rosierjay ! I will wait for my pony for another 2 weeks, hopefully seller really ship her out.

If this happened with something I sold, I would never ask a customer to pay more for shipping just because I did not put the shipping cost high enough to cover the cost. It is not good selling practice to ask your buyers for more money after the fact. Plus I am not sure it is not against Etsy's policies.
If something like this happened when I bought something, I would ask the seller to cancel my order and re-list it with the correct shipping amount. Though after thinking about it, I might just cancel the order and buy from somewhere else. Asking for more money for shipping is not something that would inspire confidence in a shop.

I buy and sell on etsy and I have noticed that most sellers don't really communicate with the buyers. Also, sellers can choose the amount of days before they plan to ship the item. Mine is 3-5 business days before shipping. But I think there are longer options. I also undercharged for shipping recently by $4 but I just had to take that out of my profit. I would never ask a buyer to pay more shipping if it was my miscalculation.

I always feel bad for sellers when I see they have over paid. I typically praise them in feedback if they do not ask for $$ after the fact.
What really bothers me is when sellers ask for more $$ or refuse to ship altogether due to shipping miscalculations. I've had my share of less than favorable sellers. I even had one seller (sale occurred OUTSIDE of the arena) go as far as to track me down on the arena and ask me to pay the shipping difference.
I personally wouldn't do anything unless the pony doesn't show up or the seller asks you again.

She email the link to top up the additional cost, and thks me for communication. Hmmm...after 1 week of non replied msges. My only concern is that whether its really ship out like wat she say.
