Does having a massive pony-related project, that I really should do more work on, but don't sometimes, count as this?

I would say YES it counts :)

Cataloguing my collection.  Been working on it literally for years.  This is the first year I've actually started to feel like I'm making progress.  Slow...slow...slow progress...

Cleaning my own ponies! I'm good with making lists and keeping track of who I have, but I am terrible with cleaning them. I know a lot of people love pony spa days, but I do not look forward to it at all. That might explain why mine just get set on the shelf.

My pony procrastinations are actually collecting lately as some really cool EAH dolls have recently come out and Frozen dolls are being restocked so yeah thats my focus atm....
I am starting to collect them again though! :) Back to almost nothing but ponies!!!

brushing. i'll brush them when I remember to and any pony with tinsel gets brushed less cuz even though I tell myself tinsel doesn't matter, I have traumatic memories of losing lots of tinsel in my childhood herd. I'm bad about dusting too

Sorting box after box after box....yada yada yada...of accessories. Less procrastination however, more a lack of time in the day! Also my 3/4 finished website :P

I'm the queen of procrastinators when it comes to most other things, but I enjoy working with ponies so much, I do everything at once and then complain that I don't have any dirty ponies to have spa days with.

Rehairing, I have some bald ponies that have been waiting to get restored for years. :yikes: I'm also planning some alternate rehairs because I love browsing through the rehair thread, but haven't really got round to doing that either yet.

Another one would be getting new shelves because I'm running out of space. :P (A common problem, I assume!)

I have a bag of fakies that need a spa day in the worst way.  But their hair looks like it is going to do that icky falling out in chunks thing so I don't feel like starting... -_-

I also have been meaning to do a spa day for my child hood G3s.  They're all in good condition, but could benefit from having their hair conditioned and some of the white ponies especially could use a scrub.  There are just so many of them that it will be a huge undertaking.  If I broke them up into groups it wouldn't be bad.  I'll do it soon!

I'd come help, but I have a pile of ponies over here that need sorting.  And at least a half dozen partially done customs that I have started and stopped.  Daughter seems to be following in my footsteps in that regard.  Sigh....

mostly I get it done right away, but I Kinda want to stop getting loose ponies :) LOL  Mocs still get cleaned when they arrive but is not a longer process as a loose pony LOL :) I have 3 ponies on the Spa right now, hair getting conditioned , it used to be few hours on conditioning, but lately I let the conditioner dry and then I rinse them and get their hair done :)  These ponies are not new ponies, I'm going to some of my G4s that I opened back in 2012 and giving them their first spa :)

Shelf dusting.
Not as bad when it's ponies bc I like taking them down to brush and restyle.
But taking everyone down so I can do the shelf.
Ugh.  >_<

I have a few ponies that need a spa, a few customs that need completing and a few pony art projects to finish. But I like to think of it as something to look forward to rather than procrastination...hee hee

I did just reorganize my pony shelf which I was totally procrastinating for a while.

Procrastinating on moving my workshop, as the floor and walls in the room I'm moving into needs scrubbing (for which I will need to wear a respirator, as there's mold growing on the wall; ick)

Procrastinating cleaning the house so I can have the space to actually sort and catalog ponies, much less clean them. >_<

Procrastinating making pony shelves to put my ponies on once the above happens (or even before *laughs*), but I'll need a piano hinge to finish it, as I'd like to cover the front with some clear plexi so Mr. I'm-going-to-knock-stuff-off-your-shelves-until-you-get-up-and-feed-me doesn't damage my ponies. ;)

For me that has been photographing the girls, and getting a herd count, I am finally working on it. I also need to go though the play sets and see what I am missing.

Listing things on eBay. The photographing, and the inspecting for listable flaws, and the price deciding, and the invoices and the shipping... well, okay, I do enjoy the shipping. Tape rollers make cool noises.. But the rest can be kind of tedious.

Dusting, putting away my newest, and cleaning those that need it. And for the longest time, cataloging the collection. I was doing good through G3s, but died off after, so I have 3.5 and the NBCs, plus the entire G4 to go through.

Im a little quily of this! Ive been keeping mine in the box latley even though I love love love to give them a spa day! My problem is time, Im only home when its time to go to bed!  Agreed, much easier to dust/wipe off a MoC or box!

Oh, a blog, a guide, finishing cataloging my collection. Still need to gather everything I no longer need to sell. I have a couple boxes to of ponies to clean as well from months ago.  My ponyroom still needs work. At least I got the walls painted, flooring installed and UV film and curtains over the window. Just need to buy blinds, trimwork and shelving.

Procrastinating on moving my workshop, as the floor and walls in the room I'm moving into needs scrubbing (for which I will need to wear a respirator, as there's mold growing on the wall; ick)

Sorry this is so off topic, but if there is visible mold on the outside of the wall, the problem usually stemming from inside the wall (water infiltration) please have a professional look at this to be safe, as you would likely still be breathing in mold even if you clean the surface. *hugs* :)

Definitely rehearing. I have a few ponies with haircuts or missing tails and I've just put them on the collection shelf and left them there. I figured if I were looking at them I'd remember to do it (as opposed to leaving them in a box somewhere) but nope!

Spa day for the rust-tailed ponies... it takes so long to take out a tail, un-clamp it, wash it, re-clamp it, and put it back in the pony, the ones who need this procedure tend to sit in my 'to be washed' pile the very longest! Now I have a whole pile of rusty-butt ponies... :yikes: Help me!
Title: Re: what are your pony procrastinations?

ugh, I have some of these...

rehairing and partially repainting a Bubbles. I have been planning her since early last year, and was finally able to find a perfect Bubbles for the project this March - and I never even got to order the hair yet. it's mostly the hair which makes me procrastinate, and that is because I want to order more hair but want to spare shipping fees by ordering just once. I really need to get my butt down and finally make a list of hair I want, because even if the order's been placed it still takes some time to arrive, and I can't even start before that...

finishing a custom fakie whom I originally entered in the Pimp Yo Fakie contest earlier this year. she's still not completely finished :/

some months ago I found a nice hot iron and discovered the fun of hair straightening with it (on dolls). now I realised that also the hair of some of my ponies can be cured this way, so I'm planning to give some otherwise clean ponies of mine a hairdresser day.

and yes, I've also been planning to finally catalogue my collection, I need to do that as well.

EDIT: I got myself so worked up on this that I finally sat down, sorted my hair needs out, and placed a hair order :P
now I'm happy, this thread actually helped a little with going forward in my procrastinations ^^

washing some new ones, brushing the old ones...

Not so much procrastination as other priorities GETTING IN THE WAY of sorting and cataloguing (have had, for a year now, a nice app with which to do that, but it has all of ten ponies in it so far...) and deciding how best to display them in the little space I have for them (enough to justify a pony room, or at least half of one, if we had an extra room...)!

There's a fresh batch of Mcponies I should be photographing (for "before" pictures) and getting ready for customising. I am instead playing plants vs zombies and getting frustrated at failing a level over and over. (I am *also* procrastinating on the sketching out of plans for said ponies, so I really should get off my behind and at least do that.)

Cleaning all the sale ponies, and checking for upgrades. I procrastinate about cleaning the ponies, because once they're clean, I have to pull out my ponies to check them against, then re-pack them away, and then style and prep the sale pony with an ID tag and price and all that jazz so I can keep track of them, which is even more tedious then pulling out collection ponies and re-packing (they never fit how you had them!!!!). urgh!

Can I answer "everything"? Lol!

With my current living situation (techincally living two places at once) I normally only have one day off a week that I have access to my ponies and that's normally the day I'm working on costuming or doing wash.
I have a whole bunch of new ponies that need hair styling, in additon to a pile of mostly finished customs and just started restores (found some more childhood ponies who need help....)
I'm hoping once my living situation gets a bit better sorted out I'll have more time for projects.

On a positive note, I do a great job at keeping them organized and dust free (though I admit it's a small collection so that's not too rough). ^.^

I always enjoy cleaning ponies/styling hair, but I never seem to do it unless I'm selling. Getting my own collection girls back to having tighter curls/no dust has been nice though. I've been doing a bit more of that since unpacking.

Sorry, haven't been apying attention!! lol It's called ProCOllect. It has some quirks, but it suffices. You can import pics right into it and can get pretty detailed in what you put in. I *think* there is a free version that you can try out with.

Besides the usual failure to clean, style, and photograph my ponies? I've actually started working on my pony fursuit again after ignoring it for over a year. I left it for too long and now I hate the half-finished head. A much better one is coming along nicely, but it's soooo much work! Why did I ever think this was a good idea?! :drunk:

I really need to finish rehairing. Some ponies have been waiting for years. I also need to note down which ponies I have, havent updated my catalogue for the past three years. Yesterday I finally rearanged the ponies after we changed the shelves in the beginning of summer. Doing that I realised some ponies need their hair redone but I guess that will take another year or so to actually begin with. I'm such a bad pony mom.

I LOVE cleaning ponies and brushing their manes and tails, but actually starting the task is a different story.

I also need to take inventory of my collection and sort out which ones I want to keep and which ones I don't, but.. that'd take me forever... and my collection isn't even that big :lookround:
