Found something quite interesting during my charity shop round today! Look at this mildly-grumpy lady!

She looks like a handmade one! (from one of the old Butterick patterns, am I right?)
I was really excited when I found her! Makes me wonder where she came from! Who made her? How old is she?
She's missing a horn, maybe I'll make her one. Some of the felt bits on her are a little pulled too, I'll probably need to trim them a little, but other than that she seems fine.
I also found some other good things in the charity shops today: a family of Sylvanian mice, a Buttershy masquerade Zelf, a fuzzy little puppy in my pocket, and a blender (now I can make smoothies!!)

What an adorable handmade plushie! :lovey:
Congrats on finding her and giving her a new, loving home!

Congrats :) Cute :)

I guess her exact past will always remain a mystery to us! I love the thought that somebody put so much work into her, probably made her for a daughter/granddaughter.
I quite often find toys that look old and handmade, and I'm often kind of tempted to bring them home because of the thought of the history behind them, but I just don't have room to keep stuffed toys that I don't REALLY love. There's always room for a pony, though.
On another note, I really love the kind of short fur fabric that old toys like these are made of (handmade ones or otherwise). Why can't I find plush fabrics like this anywhere these days?

What a cool find!

What an interesting find. I too wonder what her history is. She is still lovely and white. Congrats :frolic:

I just noticed something about her. Look at her eyes! No wonder she looked a bit grumpy, lol!

She is super cute, and I think you're right-- we definitely know what she's grumpy! ;) :P
But the unevenness aside, whoever made her did a pretty great job (way better than I ever would!!)

She is super cute! What a great find. I would love to know the story behind her too, why she is even more fascinating. :D

She's so adorable! Someone put a lot of hard work and love into that plushie! Is her horn missing or was it left off on purpose? I wonder if some little girl asked for her that way? :inlove:

Cool find :)

Now, THAT is an awesome find!
-
The original Muffin pony! she's lovely! I wonder if she was someone's first attempt at a sewing project? She looks wonderfully imperfect and crude (not crude in a bad way...like in a folk art kinda way) I simply adore her and wouldn't change a single thing :) she's perfect!

Awh! I want one!!xXx

She definitely looks like she's never had a horn. Can't tell if it was left off on purpose or if the maker just forgot though!

Even though we'll never know why there's no horn, I think it's so cute that you have a little earth pony Moondancer. There's also the bonus of not having to repair the hole if the horn had been ripped off
