I was just thinking this might be a fun topic. :biggrin:
For me, I believe it was Teeny Tiny Pony, Little Tabby.
Oddly enough, I think I remember finding Lil' Litters Lady Labrador after that.
I am pretty sure both of these were old stock though, because it was after the end of year 10. (and I remember buying ponies from year 10)
After that, I never saw ponies again until I walked down the isle and discovered G2. I bought every G2 pony I could get my hands on!

Ooh, this is hard. Hmm, i think my last G1 that came from a shop was Sea Breeze maby?
With the G2 it was Puff or Teddy. :biggrin:

I am pretty sure the last one I got was UK Honeycomb :) Most of my childhood ponies are older G1s!

The last pony I picked out for myself was Baby Princess Sparkle (with Buggy), but later my friend gave me Baby Ballerina Sweetsteps for my birthday. And a few years later another friend went to Scotland and found a few things from the tail end of G1 gathering dust in a corner of a Toys R Us there. So she brought back Nurse Loveheart, the hospital bed playset, and the Kitchen for me. By that time I was in college and had been buying secondhand ponies from flea markets for many years, but I still consider those to be the last of my "childhood collection" because they were bought new from stores in the regular way.

1988 or 1989 at Toys R Us. Buying a pony for a friends birthday party. And my Mom let me pick one for myself. Of course I chose the blue one for myself (blue is my favorite color). It was CocoBerry.

Newborn twins Jabber and Jebber. I remember my dad taking me into the aisle and telling me to pick out a toy. ^-^

I don't think I ever owned a brand new G1 pony except the Mexican seapony that had been brought my Grandpa. All my G1s where 2nd hand and I have recollection of who I owned owo;

Rockin beats Sweet Notes, that was the day my mum said 'aren't you too old for ponies?' I would have been about 11 I guess. Now I"m 34 & own a few hundred... needless to say Mums accepted them

yeah, I think my last ones - as I bought them all together - were some of the 7 tales ponies and 2 of the last newborns (those with the dream theme). those are the only ones I still have the back cards ;-)

I can remember. It was the first pony I ever bought all by myself from my pocket money, and also the last G1 I bought in a shop. It was Teeny Tiny Little Whiskers, and I was 9 or 10 years old.

In pretty sure my last pony to buy was either baby pineapple or a fancy mermaid baby. I remember going to this discount store here in Florida called "pharmore" and they had some ponies.. Oddly enough, some were in French Canadian packaging, which I still have.. And I have the Canadian MO pamphlets that came with them as well :)

I think I actually found a baby splashes fancy pants at a rite aid way after ponies were discontinued. So this is the last one I got for sure.

Ironically for me my first and last purchase of a new G1 pony was in 2009.We were travelling through Spain to start our new life in Valencia when we stopped for petrol.I saw nothing but my then 8 year old said she saw G1 ponies at the checkout....and indeed there were 2 Rockin beat ponies...sweet notes....in spanish Los rockeros, notas dulces.They were 5 euros each.Elated I bought them both.I sold one and kept one which I still have.
We were fresh off the boat so to speak and very tired so I wasnt thinking properly but I so wish I had asked if they had any more.I will never know.
To think those ponies had been hanging around in that store for so many years just waiting for me to buy them.That pony is treasured by us and I have never taken it out of its packaging.

Ooh, how odd. I wonder how CDN ponies ended up down in Florida. Maybe they were trying to escape the winter.
My last was Pretty Vision. Not sure when I got her, but I know it was well after she first appeared in stores because I also had some ponies that appeared the year after her.

My last new G1 was either Dazzleglow or Sweet Sundrop. I very distinctly remember each of them being my favorite after I had just gotten it, but I don't remember which came first or last.
I think the last new G1 *anything* I got was the gummy candies they had in the early-mid 90s, and I only remember that because I still have pieces of the box around.

I think my last G1s that I bought (or my mom bought for me) new in the store were either the Paradise Babies or the Fancy Mermaid Ponies at Wal-Mart. I wasn't too keen on most of the ponies released at that time, but I desperately wanted new ponies and had to have them. I also remember finding some "older" at that time stock in a pharmacy (maybe CVS?) and got Windy Wing Whirly; she might have actually been the last G1 that I purchased new in the store.

Oooh this is a fun thread. My last G1 ponies were actually a whole bunch at once. Growing up I was heavily involved in 4-H and every year I would wait for my check to come in the mail after the fair with the money I'd earn and I'd spend the whole thing on ponies. The last ones I bought new in store were:
Sweet Notes
Tuneful
Pretty Beat
Baby Rain Ribbon
Baby Starbow
Baby Bright Bow
SHS Rosey Love
and those took all of my money but I was in pony heaven for months after. :)

I believe the last pony I got in stores was baby Dots and Hearts (diaper baby). I was in the basement of a discount store, I believe Woolworth's (this store was defunct in the United States by the late 90s) was the store. They had some ponies left over in about 1990/91 and I remember staring at all the different Fancy Pants Babies...... I wanted to have them all but I could only pick one, so I remember picking DOts and Hearts because she had WINGS! I didn't have any ponys with wings so I was so excited.
Technically the last MIP G1 I got new was Baby Stockings, from the Rice Crispy mail order promotion. I received two ponies from that promotion. So she was officially the last "New" G1 I bought.

My last new G1 was the Dream Beauty Mayfair. I wish i still had her.

Mine was actually a birthday present from my grandad, it was the birthday pony! Celebrating 10 years of mlp! Still have her, though her tinsel curls are almost straight now and I've lost all her accessories, she is still pretty white and not a scratch on her. Xxx

The last pony I bought for myself was Speedy, but my last childhood pony was Locket. She was a 13th birthday present from Gran back in 1988. :biggrin:

I must admit I've never bought a G1 pony new in package. My first ponies were all second-hand. But I love them all anyway!!!

Mine was Dutch baby Cat and my sister's was Dutch Diary. We both got to pick one pony and my sister got the last adult. At first I was sad about that, until I saw baby Cat, Such an adorable little pony.
I still have both in my collection.

I'm pretty sure mine was Starglow. I bought Dazzleglow, Happy Glow, Tuneful and Pretty Beat just shortly beforehand. Actually, I should say my parents bought them ;) I had found the Glow N Shows and Rockin Beats at two different bargain shops and had been thrilled! I'd been wanting new ponies for so long but all Zellers had was the Sundazzle Ponies and Princesses with eyelashes, which I didn't like back then. My last pony from Zellers was Posey Rose. Our stores didn't seem to carry many ponies, unfortunately. I remember going with my parents to pick out new toys and I always wanted ponies, but often couldn't find any, so I ended up with Barbies.

The last pony I bought brand new was sparkle Baby Northstar. She was found at a Snyders a couple years after MLP was discontinued here. Sadly she was lost during a move:(

If I remember correctly my last pony was Tassles, a Merry-Go-Round pony I got at Clover. I do still remember where ponies were located in the store - back right corner, lol. I also got petites there at one time. Still have them! :)

I never got a G1 in store. I was born in 1995, and I wouldn't remember the last g1 I found second hand. However, he last G2 I got in store was Pretty Parlor Ivy from Mothercare with my mummy :)

I was too little to rember much about getting G1 mlp back then, my sisters got most of thoese however I do belive that my aunt bought a baby sea pony water lilly and kept it in the closet for years, I don't even rember getting her but I rember the froggy float that I chewed on being 3 or 4 years old, and playing with water lilly in the bath tub. Idk what ever happened to her tho. I have replaced her ssince but it's never the same but I love her to pieces!

Mine was Half Note - actually my only G1 that was new from store (all others, except maybe my Petites house, were second hand). My parents said I could pick out 1 pony - I wanted them all - finally decided on the orange one. LOL still don't know why
