I'm wondering if the Discord minifigure and the normal release are going to be different. I know they're very fond of using the same molds wherever possible, but some comments here talk about his size, fitting in a square box the same height as the other ponies; perhaps his odd pose is to squash him down to scale?

As for the box size question-- This mockup image really makes it look like all boxes will be a little larger in this wave. They will probably all be Discord-sized, regardless of what's inside!

There's still a chance that Hot Topic will have it's own exclusive assortment of these with a few more color options. Right?
Or will they have the GITD? GITD Rarity would make sense because she's a pale pony like Muffins and DJ Pon-3. Maybe Applejack?

I see they are saying the boxes are the same size its just that each box will have 2 x Big Mac and 2 x Discord - so it will still be a 12 box set.

I wonder if Discord will be a good size to go with the brushables? I hope so as I just don't see Hasbro making him ever, besides maybe a mini figure eventually, and I'm not sure if I like the character enough to get a full size one. I can't wait to see more if him though.

Series one had more ponies 10 right this only has 7 characters which is weird I wasn't expecting series 2 until the end of the year, also what they should have done is include ponies from series one then to fill the extra 3 spots like show accurate Fluttershy, Lyra and Bon Bon. Maybe Series 3 will start to use ponies from the new waves and then some from the old series.

I don't really see the point of a black variation Discord if they're going to color all his limbs and add-ons normally anyway. My opinion on the clothed ponies is similar but less emphatic. I'm in love with the black Rarity, though. She reminds me of Nightmare Rarity from the comics, which is a character I'm pretty sure they created just because it would looks so cool.

Trixie's got a giant hat, and Discord is pretty big, so my theory is that the individual blind boxes will all be larger to accommodate these characters.
We'll see what they come up with! :)

Well looks like he is the correct scale he is just slouched over to match the minis though which are smaller than the brushables but not by much.

LOL - ToyWiz already have them up from this morning as singles. I think they are expensive but they are hot to the trot thats for sure.

Well that proves to me that they list things for sale before they even know whether they are getting them or not.

Thats for sure. Which just makes me even more wary of ever pre ordering with them. Its a gamble they take I guess. Especially as the images they are using are simply cropped versions of this original image rather than proper stock pics [which probably do not exist to retailers yet] or simply "image coming soon" shots.

i'm gonna wait till the get them at B&N. they are only 6$ there.... and i can use my discount.
they've gotten all the other mystery boxes that funko has released so i'm sure they'll get these too.

Toywiz does that a lot- can't tell you how many orders with them I've cancelled because they kept mysteriously "pushing back the ship date"

They're a teeny company- so probably they don't have someone who can comb all the pony sites (assuming they even have access to them) and ask the boards to take the pictures down.
I suspect if they knew how much the pix had already been circulated, they'd give up.

It is a teeny company. Only 80 or so employees including warehouse workers. I think the marketing dept is 1.5 people.

I'm pretty miffed at myself for going ahead and preordering with Toywiz. I noticed they decreased the price somewhat. I guess I'm just concerned that they'll sell out, and I definitely want the entire box at once so I don't have to search through the stores for each one. I sure wish it were easier to get the box somewhere else.

Oh I understand how small they are and as someone who works with product launches on occasion I cant imagine how upsetting something like this must be. We had an internal investigation once over a picture of a new sports shoe leaking and it was a nightmare - turned out it was a leak by a retailer and not our little company but still pretty intense when everyone was hauled in and the investigation went on.
My comment was more that I thought it odd they were contacted the odd pony blog or two, while the picture and the thread discussion stayed live on the actual Funko forum itself. One which is checked by Funko staff - you would think perhaps they would have caught started there.

Aww, they did that weird thing with AJ's eyes...Last wave, it was Pinkie Pie. For some reason, her eyes were much skinnier and longer than the others, and it just looks weird. That stops me from really liking Pinkie. I'm bummed they did that to AJ too though, since she's my favorite character :( Daring Do's eyes are perfectly round, so I don't see why they couldn't make AJ like that as well.

I'm so stupid for pre-ordering from Toywiz. I preordered the first day they posted pictures- and to my surprise, they mailed something out! But guess what it was? Series 1. Uh yeah... don't need that.
Now when I log in, it says in my invoice series 1. I am POSITIVE though that I clicked on the picture of series two when I ordered- is it possible they were still arranging things in their system and that dumped a series one box into my cart instead? I don't know but Toywiz won't take the item back without return shipping and probably a restocking fee. So bummed. I don't know why I never learn. This is the second order that Toywiz has completely messed up for me. And that is out of only three orders. Not a great track record.
In short- I recommend NOT preordering this set from Toywiz.

thanks for heads up !, hope they give you a return with no hassles, I have only bought one time from them and it was on the Amazon site, their site had the same item for a lot more and plus shipping and Amazon had free shipping on the same item :( and I ended up returning it ,the quality on the ones they sent me was very poor :(.

They will not get the Hot Topic exclusives, but they might get the regular set of series 2.

I want these but my HT is far away...do you think Target will get these to? My Target sometimes pops up with the first wave though they get snapped up FAST.
They will not get the Hot Topic exclusives, but they might get the regular set of series 2.
What the difference the box at Target looked like it was the same set?

Series one standard set was(is) sold at a bunch of different retailers, including Target and Barnes & Noble, where they were about $6 each. There were 12 in a box, two of which were glow in the dark.
Hot Topic had a unit with 24 boxes, but no glow in the dark ponies. Instead they have five Hot Topic exclusive ponies that were the ponys' normal body colors instead of black bodies. They were $7.50 each, but are now priced at $8.50 each. This $1 increase stinks, but considering they are constantly running a "buy one get one 50% off" deal, this makes every other pony $4.25, or an average of $6.38 each (before taxes). It was a better deal when they were only $7.50, as the average BOGO price brought them down to $5.38 each...

To bad Hot Topic gets an exclusive thing cause I refuse to buy them there due to being over priced. My HT had them at $8.99 to begin with so if they went up again they will be $9.99, but they are $6.99 at my Target.

The Hot Topic exclusive Series 1s didn't have the glow ones? I wouldn't be surprised if the full color ones are replaced by the exclusive ones then.
