This shop was selling a bunch of MOC and MIB My Little Pony and Strawberry Shortcake among other vintage items, I bought over $150 worth of items...long story short, a month later and no items, several emails to seller. ...No response. I opened up a non receipt case and she closed it instantly saying she refunded me when she didn't . I have open cases in Paypal right now as well to try and get my money back and she isn't responding to those either. I was her very first 2 sales and she had 210 sales after me over a week span. There is going to be A LOT of disappointed people coming out of this scammer :(
Also according to Etsy's info the shop owner's name and pay to email is Beth but the actual Paypal payment recipient says Maria. At first when I saw it I just thought it was Mom's name on the shop and maybe payment was going to daughter's Paypal or something but now it is quite obviously all a scam.....Man I hate getting ripped off! Puts a bad taste in your mouth :enraged:

Thanks :hug: I just wanted to make sure no one else buys from her and also was hoping to encourage anyone else who may have also bought from her and have not gotten anything to open a case and dispute the transactions in Paypal. I am going to report her to Etsy tomorrow as soon as their Customer Service dept is open, hopefully they investigate and shut her down quickly.

I'm so sorry this happened to you (and to all the other people who though that they would be getting some vintage MOCs too) :( Thank you for letting us know. I hope that you get your refund soon and they sort this scammer out - although its still disappointing not getting your items :hug: :hug: :hug:

I am sorry you had to go through this. I am almost positive that Paypal will side with you, as she will have to prove she shipped the items and that they were delivered to your address. So I don't think you have anything to worry about in that department. The fact she tried to pull one over on not only you but others is disgusting though.
I am going to add the link to her Etsy here, as I had to edit out her last name for privacy rules that we have in place here. So if anyone needs to know her "real name" they can look there or PM you or I for them.

I bought one from her too and have not had much hope. After purchasing I realized that many of the MOC photos she posted came from SoSilver (https://www.flickr.com/photos/57974255@N00/sets/72157625761564487/). :huh:
I will definitely go ahead and open a case now, as well.

Wow, stolen photos too? It seems to be clear that she never had these items and is a full on scammer. Hoping for a quick resolution for everyone involved.

I am reporting her to the police and FTC as well, she needs to be prosecuted for this, it was a lot of money she stole from a lot of victims.

Oh no :( I knew that a lot of people would be getting suspicious of her at this point and were starting to message her and open claims. Thats why I wanted to get the word out so everyone that didnt know could get their paypal claims in, just in case they were still holding out some hope that they would actually get their items

Everyone needs to leave her a negative review on Etsy as well, it will help get her shop shut down and it will help paypal with prcessing our claims quicker. I just got off the phone with Etsy and they are investigating her shop right now so the more negative reviews the better so they will shut her down fast. They also re-opened my non-receipt claim that she closed so she will have to submit proof of the refund now before they will close it.

This is so freaking horrible.
I will never understand why people find it necessary to do such horrible things.
What did they honestly accomplish, other than being outted as a dishonest scammer.

Yeah, once I started looking around I found that almost all of the pony-related photos were taken from others. A lot of them definitely belong to SoSilver but I believe many of those were also on Pinterest.

Has anyone called paypal and talked to them directly? I'm thinking of doing so.
I don't think its fair we have to wait 10 days for the "seller" to respond when this is a blatant scam....

I'm so sorry everyone has to deal with this! I'm wondering if the paypal account is stolen. It's really hard to scam through paypal nowadays, so I'm wondering what he/she is thinking.

Well I haven't talked directly with Paypal yet but I plan on it tomorrow ;) I just wanted to get with Etsy first and try to get things squared away there, I know that they are in the process of investigating her right now.

I have talked to Etsy and Paypal, Etsy still has not closed her shop which really upsets me and my claims are still open with no resolution there. Paypal said they would close my claim after 10 days and refund me so needless to say there is no instant gratification here :( I will definitely think twice before ever taking a risk like this again, what a pain in the rear!

Well I finally got my money back after a long wait :) and yes her shop is closed as well thank goodness!! I hope Paypal goes after her and prosecutes to the fullest extent of the law!

If you use the etsy app you can still leave and see the horrible feedback this "seller" has....

That's crazy u can still see on mobile app but not website, I tried to view the store/feedback on website and it just gives an error message

I've been out-of-town and missed this original thread. I, too, ordered from this shop and have not received anything. Not surprised to see that it is a scam. :/ Glad to know I can make a claim with PayPal and stop waiting at the mailbox, though.
