So.. this is what i've been working on for the last while
Mega Charizard X from pokemon! I wanted to share some pics with everyone, even though there isn't much to see so far

The entire body is all foamed.. tonight i'm finishing the feet and then i'll post those :--) tomorrow it's hands and tail!
Well... Basically the plan is... he will have moving wings and tail (just waiting for the balsa wood sheets to arrive so i can cut out the parts for the wings, tail skeleton is done, i just need to make the tail that it goes inside!!) and then he will blow "fire" (lightweight fabric blown by two case fans)

And well.. Acen where he's debuting is in.... almost exactly 2 weeks  I have so much to do, I feel like I could use some support from you all  I really hope I can get this done, i've put so much time and money into him!!
Charizard X, btw..

Hey Dainty, that looks like an awesome idea so far! I'm looking forward to seeing more progress pics, and the final product! Good luck in meeting your deadline. I've never been to that con! I am going to Anime Expo though in July!

I've never saw the whole process of making a costume in this manner, so I'm excited to see the end result! What do you have the foam attached to/how it is attached?

Sounds like an ambitious project, but I'm sure you'll pull it off well and it'll look amazing when finished. :accomplished: I don't know anything about costume making but it looks impressive to me so far! Best of luck!

*flails* :squee:  That is insanely cool.  My hubby and I finally got X and Y a couple months ago and I snagged X particularly because I liked the mega evolution for Charizard more bahahaha.  I can't wait to see this all finished up!
