I only have one photo that shows some of the mess. I brought in a new desk and was going to use it for drawing and work and such, but instead it ended up being another surface to put ponies I have no room for.

It's even worse in other places though. lol. 3 feet deep of ponies and pony merchandise on some other surfaces. Ugh! Thankfully I'll be getting a bigger place soon.

Mine is terrifying. People get lost in there. Plus its the basement and my crafting area. I'm going to bed but maybe tomorrow.

Every few months though it seems, I get an urge to either reorganize, or reassess my collections, move shelves around, pack things I think I might sell away for a few days to see if I miss them, etc.
Like currently I am trying to decide if I want to give my growing EAH collection that tall shelf above, where I want to keep my Re-Ment and if I should downsize some of my collections. Half my pony collection is in boxes in the middle of the floor right now while I decide if I like the different shelf arrangement and what I want to keep/display.

I've also got all my Zelfs and some other toys packed away in the closet while I'm rearranging. It was much more a disaster a few days ago when those and the Re-Ment boxes were still sprawled about. I can't stand keeping it messy for long :P

My pony room is my living room. Most of the herd hangs out around the TV and books. For some odd reason I was inspired to gather just about everypony and pose 'em up for this shot.

Most the the G1's are being prepped for sale at Big Apple Ponycon so people would have a pony for Bonnie Zacherle to sign.
I was not that hot on G1's. When I started cleaning them and getting their hair styled with Kar Red Roses I fell in love. Now I'm going to be devastated when they leave in June! Bubbles is leaving over my dead body. Glory, Surprise and Pony Bride may have to stay as well. The hubby has a tight grip on Applejack.
I think I have to get more ponies...
(I just noticed that Medley fell off again... Doh!)

Most of mine are still in the loft as I have no room to display them. :cry: I just have a select few in my room.

I'll have to see what kind of pics I have... I don't have a dedicated toy room (current living situation does not allow for it) but dream of having one when I move to a little place of my own... So right now, my dolls, ponies, plushes, and figures are all scattered around my bedroom bookshelves/storage zones and sitting around my computer work area.
The G4 ponies are SUPPOSED to occupy one neat little spot on my main bookshelf... but I soon realized that they were NOT doing that. It's mostly the little blind bags-- they hide EVERYWHERE (but since they're small, they make up the bulk of my collection... I love tiny things, and don't really have a lot of space anyway)

Here's the spot they were supposed to keep, when I thought I was just going to have a few... I haven't taken pictures of the toy shelves in a while, but it's significantly more crowded. Ponies have fallen over and been 'trampled' there! And then others have just gone walkabout. Clearly I need to expand their dedicated space.
(my original G1/2s may still be in the garage but I'm pretty sure they were lost during childhood moves... and I haven't even known where I'd want to begin with re-collecting them!)

what are the little white shelves you guys use inside your shelves, to add height to the ponies at the back?

I try to keep the shelves nice and orderly but ponies are standing on top of each other... my plushies are a nightmare though, what is even going on lol?! I cannot even reach those two corner cupboards anymore, anything in there is lost forever! :P

Great thread!! Actually at the moment mine is pristine :biggrin: but there have been many times it's been a dumping ground for various things I just needed to get out of the way of the bits of the house we use most. It's been known to be floor to ceiling with all manor of boxes of crap LOL

Well the pony room is lovely and tidy :) Now the adjacent room - which has become known as "pony storage area"...yeah thats not so good. I mean everything is sorted in bundles and boxes, just not sorted any further.

I have mine all packed up in the curio cabinets. So you can say they are messy and not messy. I will get a picture later to share.

My pony room is... me and my husband's bedroom. Kinda feel like I'm baring my soul here! XD I tried to make sure nothing was in the pictures that I wouldn't want anyone to see.

Trust me, you do NOT want to see my bedroom (which also doubles as my pony room...the ponies just let me sleep in there!) right now. You can't even see the shelves for boxes of sales goods which were dumped there when we finally sold our old house last October! I need to get a sales thread on here and try to shift some of it so that my ponies can see the light (and a duster!) again.

LOL! We live in a pretty small house, but we're lucky enough to have two spare rooms (no kids). When we moved here, one was deemed "My Room" and one was "Husband's Room". Somehow, "Husband's Room" became "Catch-All Room" for about a year before it turned into "Bird Room" and then doubled as "Library + Bird Room" and is finally "Guest Bedroom + Library + Bird Room". These means that "My Room" (aka: "Pony Room") has sort of become the new catch-all. I don't have non-pretty pictures of it at this time, but I can tell you that while all of the ponies have their own nice spots on their shelves, you risk breaking limbs trying to get into it. It doesn't help that I'm trying to organize/clean in there at the time, since I'm one of those pile makers that just keeps moving the darned piles. I'm not sure if I want to take a real picture of it, lol!

My collection/sewing room is pretty tidy. The only time it's a huge mess is when I'm sewing a project.
The horrible truth is my "collections" are being downsized because I wanted the rats to have the entire room. Luckily my model horse are in the large glass door cabinets in another room, so I didn't have many needing a spot in this room. Lol the dolls and ponies were not so lucky in getting into a cabinet.

Oh heck yes, mine is a mess, but slowly getting better. We moved to a new house just over a year ago, so the Geek Cave (shared MLP and MOTU collections) has been a work in progress for that long. I'm away for the weekend but I'll get some pics when I'm back.

I love this! I just got a pony room and am in the process of making it nice and full. There are ikea boxes and packing boxes and ponies everywhere will get a picture in the morning

no photos, but mine is a complete mess right now! the floor has been missing for about 3 weeks now. lol I am doing ahuge pony room clean out as theres lots of other junk I need to get rid of that is not ponies. Also, I am making room for the enormous haul I will probably bring home after the fair this summer :P

I'll have to remember to snap a pic of mine tomorrow. I try to do a clean up once a week if I've gotten pony mail. It isn't too bad right now-- it was terrible after Christmas. I'll have to share those pics as well :)

There was, indeed, a Batpeachy. She was wedged in there good. I should explain my niece is 3, and that is why all the playsets are in pieces.

This is a bit depressing: all my gals are in the pink bins! My closet has a folding door that fell off the track. I can't get it back on! I've been trying to keep my shelves organized, but it's hard.
The only ponies I had on display were my Funkos, which I re-boxed and put into the large cardboard box in the picture. No ponies on display, except for two G3's that I'm trying to trade.

Love this thread! I'll show you mine if you show me yours! This spring/summer I need to rip out everything and put in new floors and walls with better insulation and vapor barriers to reduce moisture buildup. So it's only going to get worse before it gets better... anyhow...
