I know we all love to get a bargain here! I just snagged a MIB Flitterheart off Ebay for $16 today. :D So what's the best bargain you've ever gotten on a pony?

I think $1.99 for Rainbow Power Rarity due to a pricing accident is pretty good, but then again I have pretty low expectations for things like that in my life XD
I did score MIB Diamond Rose recently for $7 the other day :)

I've gotten a few good ones over the years, I don't know which one I would say was the best.
A SS Satin N' Lace for $1, a Mimic for $2ish($25 mlps for $40), Italy purple Butterscotch for...I want to say $30? it was a few years ago! My weird Blue Belles are in a category all their own, with a couple of them being free, and bait priced ones sneaking past everyone...

I got Powder for 33 cents :) We were in a thrift store while waiting for our pizza next door, I dug around in the toy bin and found Powder. Hubby found a yo-yo and I found a Blue Jay stuffie (my dad likes the TO Blue Jays). For all 3 they only charged me $1.
Powder was officially the start of me collecting - I had all my childhood ponies, but she was the first that I had searched out and found at a store.

Hmmm I think buying italian Skyflier in a lot so it was about 11$ for 18ponies (incl shipping) so about 0,66$ for Skyflier :P
Or 16,50$ (incl shipping) for 10 G1s (incl german, spanish and italian ponies) and 15 fakies :P

I suck at pony bargains :P Seriously all these years and I never seem to snag one :P The closest to a good deal perhaps was a lot of combs on ebay for £20ish but it had all the Tales combs as well as combs for the Family Friends, Hair Do and a few other late Euro releases. I was happy with the price just for those items but the lot turned out to have Baby Lollipops barrette in it as well :)

My best deal that I can recall was probably my Rapunzel for somewhere around $20? Not sure exactly on the price, but it was CHEAP for her, because it was a huge lot. Of course, I also ended up by that reasoning with a Peachy that cost around $20, but considering I snagged the whole lot for less than 'Punzie's usual going rate at the time, I consider it a good deal :)

I got one of the tropical G1 babies for $2 at the thrift store in a giant bag of toys. There were a few other ponies in there as well. I had no idea who she was when I bought her but I was so excited when I found out :)
I've gotten a few other good deals, but I can't think of them right now :)

:) I think probably the bag of G1s I found at Savers last year for, I think, $7. It included Satin n Lace, Truly, Tassels, Lavender Lace, Twisty Tail, Taffy and Cotton Candy. Yeah, I think that is easily the best pony "deal" I've gotten.
That and at the same store when I first started collecting I found a working Sweet Taking Pony for $2.

Hmmm... I picked up a box of like fifteen ponies in good condition for £9 at a carboot sale once, that was a pretty good deal :) I also recently bought Silver Spoon for £6 and Sunset Shimmer with the fiery legs for £3 :)

I don't usually find good deals since G1s are so rare to find anymore. I did score a FF Cotton Candy at a flea market for $3 last year though. She was really dirty, but turned out to be very minty after her bath :)

Huge 6 inch fashion Rainbow Dash. My friend was cleaning out her room, and decided she didn't want her anymore because she wanted the space for more MH Dolls.
The catch? She's naked, the only accessory my friend could find was one of those ring/bangles, the purple one. She said she'd keep an eye out for her Gala dress though. If that counts as a Gala dress.

I got a mint with its box lullaby nursery for less than 50cents (it was 50cents with a bunch of other ponies, and toys) at a school fete back in Australia.

there has been lots over the years.... $3.50 Rapunzel complete, TAF baby sweet tooth $1.99, TAf Baby Dancing Butterflies $0.10, Piggy Alcendente in a lot of 20 other ponies and 2 cases for $100, 5 india ponies in a lot from germany with 10 other ponies for $40, found a few mimics for $1.99 SS Crumpet for $3 twice. But this is all within the last 10 years or so.

I've found a few special G1's at a huge "garage sale" in Ohio known as Trader's World, and a flea market across the highway too! I've found a Glow n' Show for a dollar, and a yellow glitter pony for $3, and a Flutter for 50 cents! I get really lucky there.

I got a mimic in a lot which came down to 3 bucks a pony, and same for Leaper at 3 bucks per pony.

I remember finding a mint Baby Sugarberry for $1.50 at a fleamarket in the late nineties, when I rediscovered my collection, and discovered flea markets. I came home with grocery bags full of them! I still dream about those days...

I have too many to list them all but I've gotten Edgar the Elephant for $0.25, two FS Applejacks for $1 each and my favorite has to be my Brazil Sugarberry in a lot with 3 other ponies BINed at $15.

my best deal was winning a Show Stable with box and pony & accessories (except Brandy) for 0.99 on ebay. it cost like $12 to ship so I paid $13 for it! THEN I open it and the Cotton Candy and Blossom that were shown were Flat Feet!

Last November, I was able to score a White talking Celestia from Toys R Us for about $6. It was on sale for about $12, and it was during one of their buy one get one 1/2 off sales. I was pretty pleased about that.

I think this one is the best bargian I've gotten. Paid $55 for Snowcatcher, Twinkleshine, Blossomforth, RD w/ scooter, RD w/campset, Rarity light up horn w/saddle&mirror all complete!

Um I have found a few of them let me see if I can remember them......... I got NIP G1 Baby Stockings for under $10.00 in person. I got a lot of 40 G3 ponies for $15.00. Um I got a big talking NIB G4 pony for $8.00 in the store. These were all a while back. I might have had more just cant remember.
Oh no more! I get a MINT SS Bangles for $4.00!

I got my Fireball for $10.
I bought him from a seller online. She contacted me by email saying she had a few ponies for sale. She said she couldn't take any photos but described them as a few baby ponies and one large Clydesdale pony. I knew it was a risk since she contacted me and hadn't sent any photos but I went for it anyway. The babies were both grubby BBEs, but it turned out the Clydesdale pony was Fireball.

Oh yeah! I got three G3's from a friends childhood collection. She says she had over 20 more (and that huge fancy G3 castle with all the different floors) but isn't sure where they are. That was 100% free as well, and there was one HTF-ish pony in the three she gave me.

$3 for G4 playful ponies and $50 for Minty A a year ago! Ooo I got a talking Celestia in great condition along with some G3 ponies in a $3 grab bag at the thrift store.

I have a few really good ones, most of my G1 stories are from 2012 since I've been working at that one on and off:
Non-beddy-bye-eyed Baby Heart Throb for $30.
This one I actually got because of a bad photograph; it was already listed under international sellers and the angle she was photographed at obscured her eyes almost completely except for a tiny sliver which is how I noticed which version she was (If the photograph had been better she probably would have been much more, she also came with all her accessories)
Flurry & Sun Glider and company for $34
One thing that I really like are Ponies with butterfly wings, so one of the first things I went after collecting first generation Ponies was the Flutter, Summer Wing & Windy Wing Ponies and I actually managed to get a complete set of them over the summer I started collecting. These two were in a lot with four other baby Ponies including two of the four Sparkle ones (both of the pink maned ones to be exact) and I watched it even though the seller was only shipping to the U.S. since in the worst case scenario my friend could forward it to me and she was already selling me a few of her used DVDs. Unfortunately the auction ended up being far more than I wanted to spend on it (around $70), apparently the winner didn't want to spend that much either because it was relisted a little while later and ended up being only half what it was the first time.
Cool Breeze for about $30
I got this one around the same time as Baby Heartthrob, when this one was listed she was ending a few minutes after another one with neater hair and the variant version ended the same night so the one I was watching with her tangled mane ended up going mostly unnoticed
Pearly Baby Moondancer for about $12
Two years ago one of my friends did a bit of searching through her house about a year after becoming a fan of the current generation to find her childhood Pony collection and posted it for me and her other online friends to see (I even used ghost of the doll to identify all of them which she was really happy about) and one that caught my attention was her set of Pearlised Baby Ponies which was something I didn't even know existed. Either way this prompted me to collect a set for myself and I managed to get most of them from one person leaving just Moondancer and Surprise, the former I managed to find because they had listed her as "Moon Dreamer" and I ended up finding her by chance when I was curious about how much Moon Dreamer dolls cost (I've actually completed the Pearlised set before getting the normal versions of any of them)

I've gotten some pretty good eBay deals over the years, but my favorite deal was the one that got me back into collecting--finding my childhood grail Seashell in a bin of ponies at an attic sale in 1998. Price = $0.25! I still have her, although I did give her a new tail :)

in person best deals were TAF Baby Dancing butterflies for $1 at a swap meet, Mimic probably .50 @ thrift store and a Moondancer softie with original hangtag and brush for $1. Online, a big lot of g1 porcelains for $50 ( tho shipping was killer). I'm sure Ive had some good deals on ebay but I don't rememerb them.

I just got about 15 ponies for FREE from a friend!!! Her community preschool closed and she was cleaning out the back storage room and found a small bin of ponies. They are all in terrible condition and all common but there are 2 big brother ponies which I'm super excited about because they are my first big brothers. I never have this kind of luck so I'm super happy. Now I just need to clean them up and many of them will need rehairing after years and years of bleach baths at the preschool.

I found a Twilight Sparkle brushable, with bangs, her hot air balloon, and a blind bag at Goodwill for $1.49. An Italian Tootsie for 3.50. But I think my best was receiving Tux 'n Tails from my roommate for free.

I think I've had great luck in the past buying from thrift stores and antique vendors...one recent and notable one is a G3 Swirlypop I nabbed at a St. Vincent de Paul store for 50 cents. ^.^

Got Argie Baby Confetti (blue hair) for ten dollars on eBay. Shipping was also ten, as it came straight from Argentina itself, so twenty dollars in all. Given the condition (mangled neck seal, haircut to forelock) that's probably only a fair price, but he looks adorable on display, and once I found out nice ones can go for around $50, I was pretty pleased. :) (It also helps that I love haircuts!)

I got my loose graffiti art pony in a bin of junk toys for 25 cents! She is nearly mint an just has a teeny rub on the star that's on her chest...I honed in on those pony feet sticking out of that bin!

Back in the days of G3 collecting I traded someone from Europe the G3 mail-order pony Love Note for a MOC G1 Fizzy! ^_^ It was the best trade I ever made here on the Arena, since I got Love Note for free (with mail in points) and $3.50 shipping. ;)
