Never seen a error Cotton Candy like this before?! :shocked: has anyone else?

I have never seen her before - she looks just like what the original ponies were supposed to look like. Different colours but all with Cotton Candy's symbol. Oh my gosh! How exciting! With her flat feet and those symbols, I think she is perhaps a prototype for what the first release should have been.

I can't believe that I missed noticing this auction! :shocked: I guess I didn't note the description and was like "Oh, it's just another Blossom" as I scrolled through the photos. >_<
I really hope an Arena member bought her. :)

I've been waiting for a thread like this, hehe! I wanted to bid on her but she went WAY out of my price range, haha. I think she is actually an original design/factory mock up; some of the early G1 art had the CP ponies all with symbols like that, and given that she's from RI...

Nice find!
I am sure I've seen a catalogue picture showing all of the CP ponies, but they all have cotton candy's symbols. They look very much like the ponies in that commercial :)

Did I not post on this yet??? She is very cool indeed! My first thought is that someone had painted the spots on a Bluebelle body, but they're too perfect for that to be the case :) She could very well be some kind of test run! :frolic:

Oh my God. That is not Cotton Candy. That is PROTOTYPE BLUE BELLE.
All the six Collector ponies originally had that symbol (as you can see in the commercial) . . . I think they are even drawn with it on one of the Year 1 brochures. It is supposed to mimic appaloosa spots. But then they changed it for everyone but Cotton Candy . . .

I bet she was a marketing sample, made for photo shoots- very exciting! (Wish I lived in RI, I'd make searching for MLP and Moondreamer prototypes a full time job...)

This is amazing! I don't know if I've seen a pony go for a higher amount, and still I can't help but think that the final bid was very cheap. Congratulations to whomever got her!

This may have actually been a first release as the pony that was sold is not the same one in the commercial. If you notice, the pony in the commercial is very shiny so she was probably a porcelain proto.. Also the symbols are a LOT smaller on bluebelle in the video.. Check it out

Ember the spots are smaller you are right :) they are more clustered together. There is a Minty with those tiny symbols shown in one of the leaflets and I'm sure I have seen a shy pose pony in blue with those symbols too. Both seem to be solid clay or resin, not like those pony which appears to be "proper" for want of a better phrase :)
