Title: Rotten luck with Chinese pony sellers :(
Post by: CupidStrikes on April 07, 2014, 08:56:56 AM
Sigh. I bought this as a "yay, you've finished most of your uni work", too :( I bought a G4 Ploomette from a Chinese seller on the 16th and eagerly awaited her delivery. Opened her today and, well...

They sent half of her, I guess?

Sigh. I'm messaging the seller with photos and will politely ask if I can be sent the pony I ordered. I really want Ploomette so I hope they can help (and don't insist I sent Plookie/Plinkette back...).

Oh no, sorry that happened to you! Hopefully they will be able to resolve it quickly. Would you mind sharing the seller's username? I think I may have almost bought Ploomette from them as well (found her here instead though) and I was thinking about helping out a friend and ordering a pony for her, but I've been kind of worried.. Best of luck again with yours <3

The seller is junjie1007. It's worth noting that Ploomette's body is kinda....icky. There seems to have been a glue and hair issue, though I'm sure a thorough wash and scrub might fix it.

As this is my second issue with buying ponies from Ebay, I'm thinking I'm going to quit trying :shakefist: curse you, Hasbro, not giving us Ploomette!

I'll happily buy that one off you! I'm a sucker for weird things like that. :)

I know a few others had some issues before with this seller. I think they do try to work things out so hopefully that will be the case for you also.

I got a message back this morning!

"Hi, dear customer, i am very sorry for my mistake, i will send you the correct figures as soon as possible."

Awesome, it seems I'll be getting Ploomette after all :D Now just to wait a while for her, haha.

Shiromisa - I'll PM you once I get the replacement :)

Ugh junjie1007...I had experience with her. Used to be great but she started doing terrible..so I quit business with her. I suggest you do the same...it'll save a lot of heartache and disappointment :/

It's my first time dealing with this particular seller so it's a little disappointing. I just hope the pony I get next is all of Ploomette and that she's in a decent condition =/ In the mean time, I've cleaned Plookie up a bit so she looks less depressing.

The good news is that that gaudy tinsel isn't as awful to work with as I thought it'd be (only shame is it's about an inch or two shorter than the hair due to the lack of give in it when you're trying to braid it) and the mane hair is much less silky than Ploomette's tail.

The seller sent another message this morning with a tracking number :D Which website do I use to track when the number ends in -MY?

She looks so cute! I love the effect the tinsel gives her braid. :D

(Sorry, no idea on the tracking number though.)

USPS.com should still work for the tracking :)
(it did for my package from her)

I asked the seller and they said: www.flyexpress.com which....doesn't work. Huh. I'll see if the Royal Mail might actually have info for me this time (for all my Japanese packages there is rarely tracking through Royal Mail, usually I have to use Japan Post.)

USPS.com should still work for the tracking :)

I don't live in the US so there's no reason why USPS would ever handle it :)

I found the website they meant ( flytexpress.com ) however the tracking number still isn't working. I'll give it until Monday and then shoot them another message. Sigh.

I am sure everything will be alright. Hopefully by Monday the number will be working, if not it wouldn't hurt to shoot them a message.

Well, this is weird. Ebay has a different tracking number to the one I was given, but the Ebay one works and says the package departed the sorting centre on the 9th of April. The tracking number the seller gave me still doesn't work so I'm not entirely sure what's going on xD Here's hoping the package being tracked via Ebay arrives soon.

 That's strange. Could it be they screwed up the number when they emailed you? Let's hope.

I'm assuming that maybe Ebay changes the tracking number when it's input? The ebay number is

Axxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

And the one they messaged me was

RCxxxxxxxxxMY

I'll keep an eye on the tracking through ebay to see how long it takes to get here. Non-express and non-taxable mail usually takes 1-2 weeks to arrive. Only annoyance is I'm going back to uni in a week and am unlikely to be here when it's delivered...

Oh! I read about that tracker number change somewhere recently - although I thought it was down to the GSP? Ebay converts the tracker number to one of their own and lists the new tracker number against your item - only the ebay tracker number then becomes trackable. But I am not sure if its the same thing in this case.

My target had $3 rainbow rocks ponies advertised this week.  I bought rarity for a custom, and it's the same thing.  The tinsel is about an inch shorter than the rest of the hair.

Update! Ploomette arrived today, both head and body this time! (The tracking has yet to update from departing the courier's sorting office. I wonder if that'll change).

Sadly I'm back at uni and can't inspect her but from the photos my mum sent she doesn't look to have any issues and my mum only commented that her front legs were "dirty" (so someone'll need a bath when I get home).
