Title: Barnes and noble problem

I got a gift card to barnes and noble for christmas. On january 24 I ordered a book through on of the merchants on barnes and noble website. Book never got to me, so after a lot of back and forth the merchant is going o be refunding my perchase. Only thing is that I through away my gift card one it was empty. Will the credit still come back to me?

I think you need to call customer support at Barnes and Noble and have them reissue you a gift card to get your refund. You'd have to explain to them what happened. They'd know best how to handle the situation.

I agree that calling their customer support is going to be your best bet.  I am sure they will be able tell you exactly what will happen.

I am going to assume they will most likely issue you a new "gift card" or some sort of "store credit".
