We got an endcap display in at my Wal-mart last week. It has throwback cups in it - including a G1 MLP Cup with Firefly - Sundance and Princess Sparkle on it...
If I had my camera working I'd post pictures...

I was just at Wal-Mart yesterday, ahhhh! Good thing it's literally about 4 minutes away from me....and will likely be there tomorrow (or heck, this evening) to search for these. Thanks for the heads up!

It seems my Walmart is not cool enough to have these cups. But I think I found them on Amazon.

Khema, we usually don't get the cool g1 stuff stocked in mine either :(.. I think it depends on the region, and what the store managers in the departments choose to order?

There have been a lot of glasses that have those ponies on them as of late... Not complaining tho! The more merch the better! :o)

Nope that's not it - but that's cute too! I really need to find my camera card and they were $1.49 each - they also had Care Bears, Strawberry Shortcake - the old '80s one not the newer versions, TMNT and a few other designs too.

Oh weird, okay! Well I can't wait to see a pic :) I thought that was it because it had Sundance and Firefly and looked kind of like a McDonald's cup :)

Squee, they sound awesome ! I'm heading to a really huge and awesome Wal-Mart on Friday. If there's no pictures posted/found by then, I will take some if I find the cups ! Wish me luck !

Oh ! They're those kind. Yeah, those are definitely usually by the cards and party supplies. I was hoping they were more like the blue one that was posted. (I missed where Ivy said they were only $1.49) I'll probably still pick one up, though, if I find it because it's G1 and super cute !

Cool! Need to snag the G1 for my friend in VA. And the Scooby-Doo one for myself and another for my BFF. Ahh Wally-World plastic theme cups. Love them. Cheap and plentiful, great for stocking the cupboard.

I literally just got home from Walmart and buying some g4 stuff (the giant talking Twilight Sparkle which I always found cute and figured it'll be a fortune to buy it later when they quit selling it, and the Rainbow Power Cadence and TS) and I went through so many sections and dropped $200 (the curse of WM) and I didn't go to that section. Grrarrr.

Cute! I have the shorter cups like this in all the FiM designs (as well as lots of superheroes :D ) and I really like them. I'll have to look for some of these.

You know as a kid I called Princess Sparkle,Princess Sapphire. She was one of my hand me down ponies. So I didn't know her real name till years later. Cool to see her featured on merch.

I went today to my local Walmart, no luck at all :( I did find cute FiM ones though, so I picked up one of those and a Hello Kitty one too ^^ Not exactly what I wanted, but not a total loss!

No luck in one of my local ones either! Have 2 more the same distance from me I can check, but I wouldn't be surprised if it takes quite a bit of time to get them in here.

I feel like the G1 stuff never shows up on the West Coast for some reason- maybe because the fad never hit as hard here? No idea.

Well I officially bought out all my store's stock of them. Plus some SS and Care Bear one's too boot. I'll have some at the Fair in Nashville with me for those who can't find them.

I don't often visit Walmart (it's considered a sport to try and run me over with a shopping cart whenever I'm in there) but I might have to risk it because these are really cute. <3

No luck up here - I found where these type of cups are, and of the half dozen or so designs, no ponies. :( Didn't see a sticker for them either...but maybe they are still coming in the future. The cups I found were $1.
Actually none of our designs were retro - just Disney Princess, MH, Cars, and similar. :huh:

I found them at my local walmart! There were only a few though. At the $1.50 price, I could afford to pick one up for myself!

There were none at the Walmart by me. They never got the cups or back packs in the fall either :( They have gotten in some of the clothing though, so at least I'm not at a complete loss on the retro pony merchandise.

Oh sweetest Ivy :bateyes: , any chance you'd put two of those aside for me? I can even send the money as a gift through Paypal now and pay whatever extra per cup you'll charge. I will have two booths again at the Fair as well and haven't been able to find these at my Wal-Mart. :)

The walmart in kirkwood has them, that's where i got mine :)

I found one of these so far for my collection. I am still on the lookout for a couple more to use for ice water cups for bringing to work. I have been trying lids from fast food pop and coffee cups to see if any of them fit this cup, some were close like the McCafe Large cover. If anyone knows any matches please post them because it would be helpful:)

I got two!
I have a smaller Walmart and they were actually on the aisle where the freezer section is one side and the cereal is on the other. They were in boxes in the middle of the aisle and were $1.79 I think.

I bought 7! (Still plenty more there). And I almost overlooked them. Mine weren't *in* the aisles with the party stuff, they were on the end of one of those aisles (the side opposite of the one I usually walk by) in this:

I picked up a couple the other day, one for me because it is so cute, and on for my sister. I LOVE them! And then, I couldn't believe it...earlier today, I FINALLY found that blue mini backpack from last fall!! I am having lots of retro G1 luck this week.

The cups were actually a lot bigger than I thought they would be. I put it on a pony shelf for decoration.

I checked for the banks with the other coin banks at mine but didn't see them. :( And the cup I bought was the last one the store had, that I could see. I'm tempted to go back later and see if they've restocked. For 1.50 I wouldn't mind having a few of those-- or pick up a couple for those who can't find them.
