So this is going on, I think right now, and Hasbro is attending.
If anyone sees any pics or has info share it here!
The only thing I've found about ponies at the toy fair so far is this post from someone who was there

A Vinyl Scratch EG doll? Now, that i want!
Nothing too interesting going on with the pony line though. The "build your own" ponies might be interesting but it sounds like they will be pretty small? I'm not interested in even more small fully molded pony toys.

eta: I read the site referenced in the OP. So they're pretty small. Too bad- I was hoping for something a brushable sized at least. Oh well. There's not to much there I feel really excited about. I feel like I'm in pony doldrums over here LOL

At one point Bulls-i-Toy was going to make MLP Puzzle Eraseez (buildable erasers). I wonder if it was those they saw or something else.
I'm hoping some pics or toy reports show up.
Doesn't seem like there was much too terribly interesting (I'm not an EqG fan so it's actually a bit disappointing they seem to want to continue to focus on those instead of the ponies) but I still want to see.
I'm more anxious for what might be at NY Toy Fair next month now though.

Haha yes I knew it! You can't have EQG rock merch without DJ Pon-3. Looks like she'll be my first and only EQG doll.
But they're not making a whole new movie right? I remember a thread about an Equestria Girls 2 Book that had no info so hopefully thats what it is.

I don't think there will be much different in terms of "regular" ponies for TFNY, only because I feel like the focus will be more on EQG. (I hope they don't phase out ponies completely :( ) But I'm excited at the prospect (and to see images) We'l find out soon, less than one month!

That's what I'm afraid of. =( Other toy companies are getting my money recently because of EG and lack of new brushable characters.

So EQG2 is confirmed. We've already seen Trixie's doll, and DJ's coming soon... Maybe we'll see those two in pony form during the Power line? It's been since the Wedding that we saw Trixie, and DJ was in the first faves set (excluding her being one of the 2013 Fair ponies), so I bet new versions of them would be welcome.
I wonder if the POP buildables will look anything like the Gacha buildable ponies? The name is kind of confusing with the Funko Pop! figures too.

Very disappointed in EQ2, do not like the concept at all, the first one was okay, but ponies are a million times better and more interesting, like seriously the principal's (princesses) makes me want to vomit. This is my opinion I wish they would realize we like MLP more for ponies and not humans.

I'm not really a fan of G4, while I'll collect pretty much anything except playsets from the other generations I'm really fussy with what I get that is G4. But a 28" Pinkie Pie plush! Sign me up! I cant wait to get her ^^

I'm personally disappointed in EG2 because that means Hasbro has abandoned their endeavor to revive Jem and the Holograms. Thanks, Equestria Girls, you've now muscled in on the turf of two great brands.

That's an odd comment :huh: Of course I like ponies! I still collect them! I also love EQG because of the cool pony anthro look (or whatever it's called) I connect with em, since I used to walk around my high school wearing cat ears :P
But I would prefer no Season 5 of MLP:FiM :unsure: it's gonna be ran to the ground like Spongebob and I honestly think the show is what's bringing down the toyline seeing how Hasbro is only focusing on the Mane 6, CMC, and the 2 Princesses...(we barely see Luna anymore).

So, no new brushables at all? I've got Sunset Shimmer, and the Mrs. Cake set from 2013, and that's it. I was waiting on the cmc and friends set, but I'm not sure that's still coming. Man, as someone who's not interested in dolls, plushies, or ponyville/blind bags, there's not a lot to collect from the new line. I don't even think they made a single new FS pony.
On the plus side, I've had more funds for G1, and my regular US collection is up to 77.53% complete.

Everyone!!! I know where we can see this new EQG movie - check out youtube "Jem & The Holograms: Battle of the Bands" :P Seriously, Hasbro you have a toy line which already has a music angle cant the PONY DOLLS go and do something different?
I will admit to liking EQG enough, after my initial *smack it with a wet fish* opinion :P - mainly because I was willing to give anything with an MLP sticker on it a chance. But I was hoping that time and energy would be refocused back on the pony part of the line this year after last years little divergence. I know the line has been successful and I guess its been significant enough for them to keep with it.
Out of everything this person described there is nothing which is not simply the main 6 [plus 2 characters I am now adding to the main 6 due to them getting more releases as toys than actual characters!!!!!] DJ Pon again now with a car? Cant we maybe have Cheerilee or the CMC or something which seems more relevant, and possibly of more interest to your target market?
POP ponies? Oh yay! More moulded hair tiny ponies. Exactly what I wanted :)
Having been to the UK Toy Fair at the end of the G3 line, I will admit back then their MLP items tended to feature a lot of merchandise rather than the core toy line. So I am going to hope that is what has happened again - a focus on new lines and merchandise rather than featuring their core lines which will continue to appear and give us new characters [*looks hopeful*]. They are also crazy crazy strict with cameras - its not very often pictures sneak out of the UK Fair the way they do the US one but lets hope someone got smart with their camera. What is mentioned or even hinted at the UK Fair is normally announced at the US fair - hence why in the US the manufacturers allow in cameras and videos, etc but over here things are more guarded. At the UK Fair a lot of the booths are by appointment and are heavily monitored and concealed. At the US Fair because its designed to be announced to the wider world we learn things thankfully!

Can you just tell em to make more ponies besides the "Lame" 6, the FCMC (Forever Cutiemarkless Crusaders), and stereotypical pink pony princess (Cadance)? :D EQG is fine, just more variety in the brushable pony line...hint *turn all of the blind bags you have released into brushables!!*

I attended both the Toy Fair and EAG International (amusement arcade equipment, which includes the kind of plush toys offered as fairground prizes) last Wednesday. Sadly, I didn't have much time at either exhibition, but I still took a few photographs and turned them into a slideshow on Youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skaIaG820kY
You weren't allowed to take photos within the walls of the Hasbro booth...but they had a window (which was rather silly if they were trying to keep things away from the public eye) and I tried my best! :P

as I said on the other thread, two different folks at Hasbro said that it was the upcoming movie. That was all though, aside from a brief mention of a character called "Shifting Sunset" - when I asked if the meant Sunset Shimmer, they both went "oh yeah! That one!"

Awesome Lancer thank you so much! Wow talk about plushie overload and wow some EQG display in comparison to the pony display. I so hope that this year Hasbro dont decide these new Pop ponies and EQG are the focus. Although I am loving the look of the Pop playset!

What castle is that?! Crystal Empire Castle featuring all new Shining Armor and Princess Cadence, totally all new and different than the first castle set, Shining Armor comes with a hat, and Princess Cadence now with purple tinsel wow!

It was hard to see through the Hasbro window even in real life, so the photos were never going to be very good. I found out after I left the Toy Fair that I could have actually had a tour around the Hasbro booth as long as I'd signed a confidentiality agreement. Obviously I couldn't have taken photos but at least I'd have got a closer look at the other end of the display!

Rainbow Kingdom Playset. And yes, that looks to be a show accurate Luna! (And how many years did that take you, Hasbro? It shouldn't take this long to get toys that actually look like the characters they're supposed to represent) Hopefully we'll see her on her own as well. Do not want with the big playset (perhaps Luna will be one of the repeats in the next Favourites Collection?)

What on earth could these things be??? So curious... in your video you note that they are cardboard cutouts and weren't finished in time for the fair- but can you tell what size they were going to be (like brushable of fashion style) or any hint as to what they might be? Aww- nevermind- question answered- they are yet more plushies :|

What? Jem and the Holograms are alive and well! They are seriously my favorite doll collection right now- http://www.integritytoys.com/jemandtheholograms/collection-classic-jem.php
The dolls are to die for- I seriously love them all (especially the Misfits and the Stingers)
I WISH Hasbro would do an adult line for My Little Pony- but I don't see it happening unless some other company takes the license and runs with it like Integrity.

I read that blurb for "Adagio Dazzle". I remain unsure whether I am annoyed that EQG gets a new character before the pony line :/
As for the Funrise plushes - I am going to hope very much the princesses come out over here unfortunately the Toy Fair is all about pitching concepts - they still need retailers to order.

Rainbow Kingdom Playset. And yes, that looks to be a show accurate Luna! (And how many years did that take you, Hasbro? It shouldn't take this long to get toys that actually look like the characters they're supposed to represent) Hopefully we'll see her on her own as well. Do not want with the big playset (perhaps Luna will be one of the repeats in the next Favourites Collection?)

Show accurate Luna about time her I will buy, but not with that ridiculous huge playest, I will buy her on ebay. Interesting to see if we will get any new ponies.
What does everyone want to bet the sugar cube corner play set will come with Pinkie Pie, Mrs. Cake, and Twirly treats bahahahahahah hasbro fail. I'm not getting my hopes up for a boy, I don't like Mr. Cake anyways.

Hm, I think that looks more like a translucent Twilight or Luna than a show-accurate Luna. Although I would be thrilled if it were the latter!
And Sugarcube Corner! Maybe they'll make more show-accurate locations? Twilight's library, anyone? :biggrin:

That one has more purple/pink in their hair than the Luna appears to.. but I won't complain if it's a clear Luna! I think those clear ponies are pretty neat.

I hope Luna comes out again :huh: I can't seem to find the Pep Ralley set in TRU anymore :(
And Adagio Dazzle??? That's a funky name :blink:... I can't even pronounce the first name DX and there goes Hasbro with that "Dazzle" crap again :hmm: it has to be new...I never heard a pony with that kinda name in my life, so why add "Dazzle"?

Adagio (Ah-dah-jee-oh) is a music term for a slower tempo piece, usually pretty evan flow like. I quite like her name! :)
I like the translucent Twilight. It would make sense for her to come with that playset as it looks like it's going to be her castle/kingdom!

I did see a slightly better picture of that castle on anther site- and the pony definitely appears to be Luna. Not clear Luna (alas), but blue Luna, which would be cool.
