Title: Wii Fit U - anyone else doing this?
Post by: Sugar on January 13, 2014, 11:16:14 AM
So... the weather out here's been rather not conducive to outdoor activity (rain, freezing rain, ice, and more rain), and my son needs to shed some weight prior to his operation... so I went and plunked down for the Wii Fit U.  We now each have a Fit Meter (just like a Pokéwalker, but fitness-y) and the balance board/scale thingie, and have been doing pretty well close to 30 minutes a day each - though to be fair, it's only been in the house for two days. :sheepish:

What I wanted to know is, has anyone else invested in this, and how are you finding it?  Has anyone found anything cool about it they'd like to share?  For instance, with the Fit Meter (I could wear mine at work, but my son can't wear his to school, alas), I racked up enough steps up and down stairs at work to climb past the observation tower on the Statue of Liberty. :P

I have never tried it or seen one in person. So I guess I am not much help. But there should be someone that knows on here :)

I do all of mine with videos on youtube. I just got back into it last week.

Its hard to get into working out, but if you do it everyday it will get better and more easy. I look forward to it :)

I've never tried it, but I've been hitting my work gym to ward away the seasonal blues.

I have nearly died...and nearly killed people thanks to my Wii. Ok slight [but not much] exaggeration, but I am now banned from using it without adult supervision. :( I get a little energetic with some of the tasks.

Sounds like a pretty cool idea to do with your son though; to help get a little fitter I think its a great concept. Just dont get the dance mat for Wii...seriously I punched my dog in the head and my friend in the left buttock by accident.

i've almost broke a tv and a wiimote and probably a bone if it weren't for the "miracle strap"

It's different than the regular Wii Fit?  We just got a U- I need to look into this. The Wii Fit and DDR are my go tos in the winter when I can't go outside.
