Just noticed that an upcoming episode title of G4 mentions Breezies.... Do you really think they will go that direction? Make new Breezie ponies like in G3?

It would be so awesome to have a new species introduced. I hope they do. I'm really wishing for something different in the show that will hopefully translate into a new line in the toys!

I am kinda hoping that's not it. I hated the G3 breezies. They were really poorly done and the name is stupid. If they do a good job, that would be a different story.

I think they would fit in nicely to the G4 art style and show lore. We've got parasprites, those tiny crystal ewes, baby dragons, lots of cute cuddly animal friends... and I think they could do some cool stuff with the Breezie wings following along from Rarity's gossamer and morning dew butterfly wings. I never watched the G3 show so I wouldn't have any idea how they were represented. The only thing I know is that they are heavily associated with flowers/blooming, were included in lots of vehicle playsets, and the styling salon. If they introduced a new land in Equestria with the Breezies, there's a possibility of more original characters, and more unique areas, perhaps translating into inventive toys and playsets. So I'm excited for that!
But I'm also worried about them being included with the G4 toyline, when the ponies are already so small. A Breezie was blind bag-sized compared to a G3, would they keep them the same size? Or would they just mold animal friend-sized accessory Breezies? :huh:

Agreed! I loved the idea of Breezies but they just didn't turn out like I'd imagined. If they revamp them for G4 then I'd love to give them a second shot!

i hope they look more like flutters or wingers... maybe even glimmer wings. ive never been a fan of pony antennae. -_- but i actually think it could look really cute. as long as they dont act or sound as silly.

I liked the idea of Breezies but the toys themselves were quite ugly. The faces were flat and un-pony like, and the fabric wings were kind of lame.

I think it's just a cute word that they're choosing to use. But time will tell, of course !
ETA: Oh wait, misremembered the episode title. "It Ain't Easy Being Breezies" ? Guess it could be, then.. I'd rather have seaponies, personally.

I really would enjoy it if the Breezie's came back, but only if thier designs and personalities were kept intact. I do know I'll miss Zipzee, Tiddlywink, and Tralala's interactions, that was some of the best of G4. My only worry is that if they were going to bring them back, wouldn't we have seen something with the toys or something?

I liked Breezies, antennae and all :P It'd be interesting if we had them or some other kind of 'faerie' pony in G4. Any kind of new pony types would be fine by me, though :p.

I can completely see the G3 breezies fitting in to a G4 line - they have similarish [if you squint :P] styles to them. I really hope they are in the show and that we get more of them :) I love breezies!

Look in the Coming Soon thread under Comic 13 and Comic 14 - you will see the artist impressions of sea ponies there. :) And yes they do look a little more sea dragon-y than sea pony-ish. They did an alternate design which had "mer-mares" on it...that is much cuter. You can find a link to that in the sea ponies thread in FiM :)

Hmm, it would be interesting if they incorporated Breezies into the TV show, but I fear that new breezies would give them an excuse to keep making only tiny ponies and not making any new regular, brushable ponies!

I don't know how I'd feel about that! While I'm all for new wingers, I guess I'm old school when it comes to their design.
But really, if they release a new line of Breezies, I'm going to buy them no matter what:)

I would love to see a G4 version of wingers with the flexible plastic wings, not the hard plastic of the Glimmer Wing ponies.

I can't say I know too much about Breezies but in regards to new types of ponies in G4, the Rainbow Princess Cadance and Twi brushables are called "Fantastic Flutters Ponies" in the catalog that comes with the Zoom N Go ponies.

Agreed! There was an MH 3 Pack that no one saw coming at all. No leaked pictures or anything. It just popped up on EBay and shortly thereafter people were finding it in stores. So just because it hasn't been on Taobao doesn't mean it's not going to happen. Taobao isn't the be-all-end-all.

I honestly really like the Breezies in G3, so this has got me excited! :)
Besides that, if we're lucky it'll mean a new line of toys. Probably not, but a lady can dream.

I think Monster High and all that is going to change things, and make the market more open to other mythical creatures. Like centaurs, seaponies/merponies, etc.

And come to think of it, I have seen quite the uptick in dolls of mythical creatures, and it really makes me wish I had the time and space to get some of them. Centaur toys, if they were well made and elegant enough, would really be cool!

I'm positive these are fakies- they all have the exact same eyes and hair style- and no symbol on their hips. No sign of a tag either. They also look a lot like another batch of fakies that came through a while back that were unicorns.

Back on topic, I was never a fan of the g3 Breezie figures (the characters were cute, though.). However, *anything* new and creative in the g4 line would make me happy at this point. :)

Theres tons and tons of background and boy ponies they should make into brushables!! xD Im excited about a new species introduced into the G4 show! Ive seen the taobao plushies, the tweet, and episode title eeeek there just has to be breezies coming soon!!! I hope they look cool! mythical creatures have just always seemed to fit in the mlp universe. we have dragons, hydras, cerberus, vampire (bats), cockatrices, and of course, unicorns and pegasi... why not faeries? i have never met any girl who says she doesnt like SOME mythical monster, and i say faeries just seem RIGHT in mlp. (and by that, i mean pony faeries. :P) its girly, its marketable, its cheap! hasbro's FAVORITE criteria.
oh, and on the topic of centaurs, i think the closest we will ever get is this guy...

I guess centaurs as we know them, with a humanoid face, are not what works in G4. They'd have to redesign them to look less human as humans are not common in Equestria (so far). Never say never ;)

I hope they come up again later- I do have this hope they will make a toy line of them, fantasy/fairy stuff seems to be pretty popular these days, right???

Three's a Crowd-
I recalled somewhat seeing discussions/speculation here and there about the Breezies- so when they mentioned the Breezies in the Three's a Crowd episode- I thought that was the episode that had gotten everyone all excited.
If there is an episode dedicated to an actual visit to the Breezies- than I guess it's only a matter of time until we see Fairy ponies, right? Sounds pretty good to me.

Lalaloopsy did a Halloween line, their "thing" (and actually, a trend in most current dolls) is to produce a lot of lines featuring the same characters but in different themed outfits. For examples of grands that do this I've got Lalaloopsy, La Dee Dah, Novis, Bratzillas, Ever After High and Monster High (less so). These are all above the price range of regular ponies (I wish they weren't so cheap) but about the same as EQGs. I wish Hasbro would follow this trend, as they are putting out the same characters repeatedly, just not with enough changed about them. I wish we could see a line of ponies or dolls in Halloween costumes, or other outfits with strong themes, like garden party or Manehatten fashion. Hasbro is too slow and too repetitive with the pony line, imho.

I think part of the problem is an over priced line. For the money they charge, EQD should have the same degree of variety as MH or at least approaching the same level of diversity. Although to be fair, we are only on the second wave of EQG so perhaps Hasbro has more in store? The "core" character thing is pretty much standard for toy lines now - its what I always say when people say just releasing the main 6 again and again is going to make the line flop. Unfortunately current trends suggest that is not the case. They need to either lower the price on EQG or up the quality of variety they are offering.

Because I'm lazy, I search the "season 4" tag on Equestria Daily, but they get info from other sources like Zap2it or whatever its called.
