Title: Help me studying abroad - comissionslots on hold - more work posted
Post by: AnnaPommes on November 24, 2013, 01:00:27 AM
Hello gents and ladies! ;)

This time, this is not a trade for someone else like the chocolate swaps, this is something i really look forward too.

Last week , the final decision was made: i will (finally) study abroad. this is a hard decision to leave my boyfriend, friends and family behind for three month, but i wanted and prepared for this since years, and i can finally take this step!  :frolic:

It will be the next winter-semester and i´ll be attending a korean university of design. *still can´t believe it*
luckily i can say that a friend from university will come with me, she is an awesome artist and we hope to learn a lot in the lessons, cultural and how different they handle illustrations, layout and productdesign. *o*

Sadly, studying abroad isn´t easily affordable for us. So we start saving one year early!
we will open comissions just for saving for the flight alone and for the rent. That means, that every Commission you ask for here will go onto my saving bank account for the trip!

you can always check my sales thread too! ;) there will be ponies, other toys and some handmade gifts too! just give me some time to list it all up.

FOR PEOPLE WHO ATTENDED PAST CHOCOLATE TRADES:
i hadn´t the chance to scann any of your pictures, i just have some blurry dark photos left of most. If you attended and liked the picture i send you, it would be the bomb if you could scan or take a photo of it and show it here. So others could see!
thank you a lot!

Hmm... Do you only do pony-related things? How about strictly non-pony humans?

i draw humans too of course. ;) who do you have in mind?

which style do you like? i could show you some samples of characters i did for peeps here on the arena, or are you more interested in something realistic?

This person (pic 1) (http://kotisivu.dnainternet.fi/anjakurki/tralala.jpg) (pic 2)  (http://th04.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/i/2012/178/e/8/portrait_of_luise_adelheid_von_friedeburg_by_multa-d553eva.jpg) No realism required, she's a fictitious character after all and I'd be hard pressed to provide adequate references.

Oh how long will you be taking commissions? I so want one but have to see if I can afford it right before Christmas. Lol

Oh on the ponysona sheets is it like you will make a reference for a character?

i´ll take Comissions until the summer, but just a few at a time. ;) i just finish the last of my swap cards, feel free to send me some info when you want. ^^

yes, excactly! it will be the character listed with its details and a color palette if you like. It is like on a regular character sheet. Very good for reference for adoptables or to give to plushiemakers, customizers,..

i am currently drawing sleeping titania, as oberon cursed her she shall fell in love with any wild animal, because he is so jealous that she keeps a child to rise on her own. (the original mother was titanias priestress and very close to her. oberon insists to get the boy for himself to serve him)

another features textpages from a play and a donkeys head. ;)

I would love to commission you! :) Thing is, I cannot pay until December the 11th.  I think I'll recommission you in January, if it's possible.  I definitely want a nice picture of my ponysona, Arianna.  Aquarellcolor.  Character sheet (profile of colors, etc.)  Size...  Well, I guess an A5 wouldn't be bad, hopefully not too difficult.  Let me know!

Feel free to send me some info about your persona via PM ! ^^

about the midsummernightsdream:

and an actual layout sketch i talked about earlier. the box with the lines on the left is a placeholder for the text later.

how about you? are you familliar with the midsummernightsdream?
my family played at an amateur theatre once and we also played this piece by Shakespeare. It still has a big meaning to me, because i know and like the actors, which where fabulous and i adore mythology. ;) Puck and Titania have been my favorites, which are yours?

My very first acting audition was for Midsummers. Lets just say I was a shy shy kid and when my mind went blank I froze and couldn't go on. It was awful. It is a goal in my life to be in it now that I am older and less stage shy (I'm still shy). I still use my monologue from the show for other auditions and I was cast in another show after using it. :)

I can commission you this month too.  I'm saying I possibly will also commission you a second time in January.  I understand about school.  Don't worry about that one!

What a beautiful design on that dress for Titania. Well you're all lucky having such neat acting experiences. I was very shy as a kid, and we didn't have a theatre group here anyway. I did teach midsummer during my internship but afterwards teaching 9th graders I taught Romeo as Juliet. I always wanted to take the kids to a theatre to see it performed but the school just couldn't afford it.

What are your illustrations of midsummer going to be used for? Try are very lovely.

wow, Marigold, i didn't know you were an actor! you can be very proud!
actually, the design of THE flower, the red flower, is highly inspired by the flower marigold! thank you for nudging this great flower to my attention. ;)

Sure Arianna! feel free to PM me with details. ;) when these five slots are full, i´ll just opening 3 at a time and maybe correct the pirices. now they are just my euro prices in dollar without converting.
thank you so much for your understanding!! University work can leave you much freedom and the next week you are full with work again. ^^"

thank you, Maddie!
it is really cool that you teach these classics to them! and too bad the shool couldn't afford the culture program. -.-" topping a literature course with the actual play is the finest in my opinion.
speaking about acting, i am in fact quite bad, i guess. ;) i hope you could attend to a play sometime in the future, it really helps you to speak out, be confident! ;)

The illustrations are for the "book illustration project" at university. everyone ( i guess we are about 17 students) choose a book/play of thier choice. You should come over and visit the course once and see all the fabulous work! i guess my favorite is "the perfume" illustrated by a friend, is is so awesome, you think you can smell a scent from looking at the pictures. but after all, the book is good anyways. ;)

i just posted a tiny bit of my sketches, but if you are interested, i could post more here and there.
Between the official characters, a centaur-deer-girl keep showing up in my sketches. maybe i could really work her into one illustration. ;)
