I had two first ponies -- Glory and Peachy. When I was three, my mom and I went to a thrift store and I was playing with those two. My mom says I liked them so much, the thrift store lady gave them to me. :) That started my whole collection . . . Who were your first ponies? Do you actually remember the moment you got them?

My first was a G1 Argentinian Baby Cuddles. My aunt gifted it to me when I was 4 or 5, I think... I don´t remember the moment when I receied it, but I yes remember me playing with the pont and her bottle and diaper (it drinks water and the piss :lol:). But now I haven´t the accesories :P
And it is my only G1 :lol: Then when I was in the school was the time of the G2s, so in my childhood I collected some of them.
This year (I´m 25 years now :P) I started to collect white G3s ^.^

G3 Tink-a-Tink-a-Too. For some reason (I believe it had something to do with them not looking like real horses), I intensely disliked the concept of MLP based on the TV ads. That is, until I saw them in person! My Dad bought me Tink-a-Tink-a-Too, and from then on I was pretty much obsessed with them. So my childhood collection started with the first round of G3, and it has continued up until today. I never really stopped collecting them, and now I'm even collecting G1. MLP, Breyer horses, and Littlest Pet Shop are 3 toys that I doubt I'll ever stop collecting.

G1 Bow Tie. Can't remember the precise moment I got her, but I think it was a 5th birthday. She went everywhere with me and I still have her :)

Well, as a child we played with my sisters ponies, so I didn't really have my own. My very first OWN was G1 Quarterback from thrift store,... then G4 Lily Blossom... and.. then I can't remember... obtained them in WAVES

Blossom. I was only 2 or 3 when i got her so I dont remember the moment. But I still have her in storage somewhere at my moms. I will find her again someday

Cotton Candy I believe was my very first pony. Unfortunately, I don't have her anymore. :/ I only own 2 childhood ponies and she isn't one of them.

I only had Wind Drifter! :P I think based on the episode The Fugitive Flowers that we had taped off TV, I really wanted Masquerade, and so it became "I want the yellow pony with green hair and wings." That's my best guess anyway.
When I started collecting again after I got into MLP again through FiM, my first ponies were Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie. Then I started getting G1s, starting with Wind Drifter (of course!), Cloud Puff and Forget Me Not, all as a group.

G1 Bluebell in 1982 or 1983. My Mom was buying a birthday gift for my female cousin (close to me in age). She got Minty, I was shopping with her and was curious about the colored "little horses". As I called them, so she let me pick one. I chose my favorite color.
Did sort of a double take when I realized they where "girl toys" but got over it quickly. Since several of my cousins would play with my "boy toys" (Joes,Hot Wheels). No harm done. :) After that I got a small collection via hand me downs.

G1 Cotton Candy! I remember exactly where I got her and how fascinated I was with the mail order brochure.

When I was 6 I got my first pony Peachy with her grooming parlour.
When I started collecting again, 22 years later lol, I got G1 Minty. :)

G1 Bow Tie was my first and G1 Applejack was my second :) My sister's first was Megan and Sundance ^.^

G1 Bluebelle- my oldest sister bought her for me and I promptly opened her and lost her comb and ribbon in the back seat of my sister's car. I don't have her anymore though because my brother threw her on top of a garbage truck because my middle sister and I covered the walls of his room in my little pony stamps :yikes:

I had to have surgury for a bad birth defect when i was about 3 and my grams gave me these to keep me company in the hospital
They are still in pretty decent shape, tho missing most of their glitter.

My very first Pony was G1 Posey, and I believe I got her for my 3rd birthday, or maybe Christmas (they are only ten days apart, so could have been either)
I still have her, but she definately looks her age. I have an upgrade but will never get rid of my original. ^.^

My first ponies were Firefly and Moondancer - and yes, I remember the moment very well.
My mother and I were going to visit family and we went to a store called Roses before. I went into the toy section and saw the MLP section for the first time (had never noticed MLP before that) - mom told me I could pick one but apparently I was taking to long to choose the one I wanted she told me I could choose two. So I decided on Firefly and Moondancer.
When we arrived at my cousins home, I walked into her bedroom and she also had purchased a Moondancer and we thought it was funny that we both picked the same pony. That was when she and I decided we would collect all the ponies on the backcard...
the rest is as they say...history.

I can't recall who the very first one I got was, not for certain, at least. But the one I have the earliest memory of was Little Flitter, who is furthermore the only G1 I know for a fact I had as a kid apart from petites. So maybe she really was the first.
I remember it was nighttime when she was given to me, and I was at the house my grandparents had back when we all lived in California. I remember the shape of the box she came in and how pretty I thought her wings were, and I remember running around the yard for a little bit with her, making her "fly".
I have no idea whatever became of her, other than that I seem to recall only having her for a very short time for some reason.

I have no idea who my first pony was. I was just a baby when they were being collected for me. ^.^

I don't remember what my first one was, we picked a lot up at garage sales when I was a kid. I remember the first one I bought in a store though! It was Mainsail, and she was my bathtub pony for ever. I can only imagine what kind of tail rust she had. :lol:

Mine was my So Soft Wind Whistler and So Soft North star they were giving to me by my aunt who passed away when I was very young. And, I still have them and treasure them to this day. :)

G1 Baby Splashes and/or TAF Merriweather. I don't know which one was my first, I just know I had those two first haha! I still have both ^^ But they both have haircuts now... Don't have the heart to rehair them, I'd like to keep them as they are :)

My first was Scoops and the Satin Slipper Sweet Shoppe that I got at Christmas. I must have been four years old according to the year it came out.

Technically first pony was a blind bag of glittery Rarity and Amethyst Star, but for brushables? Fashion style Rarity ^.^

A plush G3 Skywishes. I still have her, I just have to dig her out.

Hmmm I don't remember exactly as I was about 2 or 3 I think but I think it was Katie, but I think I originally got her with lots of other ponies as My Nana loved to spoil me :biggrin:
I do remember who was the first pony I ever brought which I got from Woolworths think I was 5 or 6 I was with my dad I kind of remember (dad also remembers this so this is basically what he said I did lol) me getting really hyper & excited when I saw her & saying Daddy I want that one please please please & apparently I was jumping up & down lol.
This pony was Lollipop :D as show in my picture below hehe.

Cotton Candy was the first pony I owned. I actually got her a few months before they hit the stores, as one of my uncles worked for Hasbro and admitted that he and a few coworkers all took a bunch of them off the production lines for their kids.

My first pony was Majesty. I got her (and the Dream Castle) at age 1 or 2. I don't remember that at all - but I do remember always loving ponies and I do remember getting some of my childhood ponies.
I especially remember the joy when I went to the US for the first time (aged 6) and at Toys R Us they had A WHOLE ROW of ponies. I went crazy.
My parents had to drag me out of there.
I'm quite sad that that will never happen again. That was utter admiration and joy.
