It seems they do hold beauty contests :lookround: Remember, there is suit of beauty queen among g1 pony wear :P Ponies are the same equal as girl contestants. And so you can not guess who should win too ...
Seriously, how ponies understand the beauty ? I thought as a child that
pink sparkling ones are most feminine ! Sweet Princess :lovey: So lady Cupcake was my own queen. But my best friend thought that all monophonic ponies wasn`t pretty. She liked her Light Heart becouse of rainbow hair.
Today I would choose the pony in in perfect condition.A little cynically  But it's really an incentive for others
What do you think ?

I think in a line which is predominately girly, while its stereotypical, the concept of beauty and prettiness being important is not to surprising.
But beauty in general is all in the eye of the beholder as cheesy as that sounds :P And all down to personal perspective.
For me I like nice colour constrasts between hair colour and body colour - blues and pinks or yellows and blues :)

It's true, adult collectors adore the most unusual ponies. Different rare combination of colors! :P Surely green ones are wildly popular for example.

I'm really fond of monochrome ponies, when the hair matches the body. Ponies like Heart-Throb and Blueberry Baskets would win in my beauty contest! <3

Of course then there are the different generations. I do like the unusual colors, but I feel that the whole look of the pony overall is what I like....generation, pose, body color, hair color, etc...

I held a beauty pageant for my blind bags ponies...Water Fire won:) I look at all my ponies and my queen of my herd changes...so really its beauty in the holder:) I think having a fave color or combination holds a lot of stock in a queen pony:)
