Guess I am to do this whole introduction thing, so here goes. I am 26 and got into MLP originally for my 2yr old daughter but then I really started paying attention to the details and characters and realized that this was an amazing find that I can be involved in too. I recently just splurged and bought the Original Minty Prototype. I also have several prototypes and factory errors which are turning out to be possible prototypes in my collection.
My daughter has well over 200 ponies, play sets and gear. Her room has amazing life size mane 6 characters, Spike, Luna and Celestia, CMC girls and my own cutie mark 3D wall art in frames. (The only reason she gets all the good stuff is because my husband would probably draw the line at making the entire house ponies lol) Actually, he doesn't mind too much, but out of respect...
I haven't been interested in collecting anything in such a very long time and MLP is really fun for me and my daughter. Scooping out finds together or fixing her ponies hair, carving Halloween pumpkins with the characters to just spending time having fun with a mutual love.
I recently had to retire from pet grooming after 9 years and extreme arthritis in my back and MLP gives me a little joy during my long days while my daughter is in infant/toddler private school. MLP distracts me and gives me something to research, or make, or watch, or etc when I need a break from being a house wife.
Um, ok, there is somewhat of an intro!

It's really nice that you and your daughter bond over ponies, my mother seems to not understand but sometimes I see her in my room petting their hair :lol:
I'm also very curious to see this wall art! And lucky you getting that Minty! I bet she was pricey. Hope you enjoy it here :)

The wall decals are made from a fabricy material and each pony was minimum 3 pieces. I had a lady make them after I begged her to make both the giant princesses which she publucized as a no longer available option. I basically told her I would be buying all characters offered and I would pay extra for luna and celestia and it would be worth her while.
Wasn't cheap lol.

It's a fun hobby and the whole overall MLP world, fandom, tv etc etc is very addicting and enjoyable. I was happy to find a show that wasn't Barney, Sesame Street, Spongebob, Dora etc etc that appealed to everyone. The characters themselves have so much charisma and true to real life situations in which their personalities are more realistic and therefor more of a example for kids and the like to learn that the world isn't perfect. People are not always nice and sharing and sweet, that everyone is different and we have to learn to get along.
Anyways, stopping the semi seriousness, thank you for the nice welcoming.
My daughter loves Pinkiepie in Griffon the Brushoff episode where she gets the hiccups for the first time. Just seeing my 2year old get into that makes it even better!
Any of your kids have a favorite character? My daughters is ever changing lol
