Lady Moonshine?
Is that really what her name is?
We call her Moonshine?
Do you guys know what moonshine is?
-
Doom in a mason jar!
-
I suppose they chose Moonshine because Mountain Dew is already a registered trademark. :lookround:
-
Who's Lady Moonshine? o.O
Also, that is a HORRIBLE name for a pony. lol!
-
Yeah, who are you talking about?
-
This is Lady Moonshine.
visitors can't see pics , please register or login
There is however two versions of her and one of those are known as Moon Shadow.
-
Ah, ok! I only had the version named Moon Shadow.

 Yes, maybe she was a bootlegger or had a speakeasy ;)
-
White lightening. :P My Mom's family lived in areas frequented by old time shiners. Honestly most people I know, don't know the true name. So it wouldn't be a problem.
However if you do know, it would make you do a double take.

Doom in a mason jar!
I couldn't have described it better myself.
-
Ah, ok! I only had the version named Moon Shadow.
I knew her as Moon Shadow too, so I was also confused XD
-
yeah, i think i've got Moon Shadow
-
Some of them pony names are weird........
-
I think it is an awesome name.
-
Applejack is a type of whisky, so really, Hasbro's been trying to get kids drinking since the 80's! :)
-
*giggles* Well, I think her name is cute :) Even though I've just realized the double meaning!
-
Haha! I didn't know she was also named Moonshine, I've only ever seen her called Moon Shadow. How funny ;) I was just about to point out Applejack's name before I saw someone else had, haha.
What about the G2 pony Tipsy Tulip? That name always makes me raise an eyebrow :p.

Exactly. That name screams WINO!
-
ha ha yeah I know her as Moon Shadow as well but heck I'd love a pony named Moon Shine!
-
Lady Moonshine could open a speakeasy and Tipsy Tulip could be her bartender. :)
-
Ah, ok! I only had the version named Moon Shadow.
Well I'm being followed by a Moon Shadow;)
Plus Lady Moonshine's best friend is Tickle. Hehe.
-
Two words; Pillow Talk. XD The fact that there is an actual pony with this name amuses me to no end. I mean, it was probably seen as innocent back then, though. Tied in with slumber parties, and all.
-
Don't forget about Tipsy Tulip and Woosie!
In the Transformers line, one of the original names proposed for Ratchet was "Cool Hand Lube". Let's just ponder that for a second.
(Though to be fair that name was not proposed by a Hasbro employee, but by a Marvel employee.)
-
Heh -- funny thing is, the definition of "moonshine" that everyone's alluding to here is listed as the third meaning of that word in the dictionary I decided to consult. The first meaning listed is simply "moonlight", while the second one is "nonsense".
-
And Waterfire.
("Fire water" was the alcohol the old time fur traders used to trade to the Natives for animal pelts.)

Heh, and Baby Nightcap! I know her name refers to her symbol (night caps), but still.. :p

Waterfire's actually named after this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WaterFire) :).
-
*puts innocent halo on* I think its actually a pretty name :P
-
Lady Moonshine...i'm ok with that ^.^

That just made me laugh out loud! X

that's funny - isn't there a cereal by the name AppleJack? only with an 's' at the end? gee the conspiracy of there company's. Next ponies will be getting street drug names. " Mom I really really want Wacky Weed. I'll be really good with a cherry on top."
-
She will be my new drinking companion.

Well to me, Pillow Talk will always be innocent. To me, it will always be seen as a response to lying awake at night, and needing someone to talk to...
I actually wrote a little something for it for the cutie mark/symbols thread. I will admit, I even had tears in my eyes while writing it.
-
With that pony, who else in Pony Land needs to visit a liqueur shop!? If you ask me, a sailor pony named Salty sounds pretty suspicious too!
-
Doom in a mason jar!
:lmao:
