Title: One sided cutie marks on a G1?

... or symbols, butt marks, whatever you want to call them. :P

I just got Dibbles, and she is really, ridiculously cute. And I got her for a pretty good price, I think, because she's missing her symbol on one side. Now that I've seen it in person, it really is missing. It doesn't look rubbed off; there's no remnants or smears of paint anywhere on her right side.

All the rest of her paint is perfect. Her other symbol and eyes are perfect. Is this a factory error that happens every now and then? If so, can I see more half-blank flanks?

Its perfectly possible it has been rubbed off or removed so well there is not a sign of it remaining. But likewise, yes, she could simply have made it out of the factory without her symbol in place. Either is possible and unfortunately there is no way to really tell! I love this pony congrats on adding her to your collection.

i have a little flitter with the exact thing, a part from her terrible conditioned hair, her wings and paint are perfect but there is no sign of one of her symbols not even a shadow of what was there.
its either like what Cat said or a factory flaw

all mine are normal 2 sided

It's impossible to tell. But congrats on getting her! She is high on my wantlist!

I'd hope it's rubbed off, it won't be like the G4 toys (which is just Hasbro not following the show, I guess...) since the toys came first in G1 and cutie marks (I'm sticking with the name I'm sentimental to, no offense) were always double sided on the toys and the show followed that, I don't see how it could be anything other than an error.

I don't have any one-sided G1 ponies, but here is my blank flank G4...I call her Diamondless Rose!

I have a Lil Tot like that. One side is just fine.. the other side.. clean as a whistle. I vote factory error.

I got her fairly cheap, as I remember, and since you don't see her pop up too often, I don't mind. At least I have her.
