Title: some help please on where to post

Hello! I need some direction please on where to put a post I would like to begin eventually.
I would like to do a work in progress type thread. It is pony related, but also custom, artsy and I am thinking it is kind of off topic since it will be a shelf/display for the ponies and not about the ponies themselves (until it is done at least)....
